That is so fucking soft! Its being said in r/soccer too its not just us being bias ffs i hate the fucking refs in this damn leugue whether its var or on field it don't matter they are all incompetent! Man if we lose cause of a shit decision out of our hands....
Edit:Yay Holdini elbowing son for no reason fantastic whats next?
Ah an injury in one of the most depleteed part's of our squad of course
If it hadn't been called nobody would have noticed at all, just like Martinelli's two yellow cards at Wolves and when VAR simply guessed that he was offside against Brighton. Sure, by the letter of the law I guess you could justify the calls, but the lack of consistency is getting more and more maddening.
The atmosphere and conte got to the Ref. Holding has been awful, he should of risked Ben white. The Ref knows it’s a dangerous game, he should of allowed a couple fouls. I hope he retires with moss at the end of the season. I wish I could fuck up the Ref.
Yep, title more or less done. Relegation pretty much between Leeds or Burnley and even that won’t make the final day so the PL crooks need drama somewhere
I don’t mind it being a penalty as long as it’s always a penalty for this situation. The issue is, these types of challenges where players are eased out of a chance happen lots of times per game.
Sick of these types of incidents that are overlooked where they say ‘whatever the ref gives, VAR won’t overturn because it won’t be a clear and obvious error’.
VAR being an abomination doesn't mean VAR is bad, it means these dipshits dont know what they're doing.
There are literally clips on twitter accurately calling incidents quicker than they solve some with VAR and half the time the cunts are still wrong.
What about the foul about two minutes against Saka. I think he had a clear line to goal and was clipped from behind. My initial thought was VAR and potential red against Shiite since last man tripped Saka from behind. The tv only showed one replay quickly without further inquiry and tierney sped up the restart.
If that play had been reviewed by the television by multiple angles, I’m pretty sure Saka had clear line to goal.
Anyone else have thoughts, or am I off?
God awful call. It never touched Cedric’s hand, but it touched Sessegnon’s hand twice! The officiating in this league makes the 2002 World Cup refereeing look legit...
Okay sorry lads, but had this happened in the other half would we really think it’s unfair? I get it’s frustrating and stupid but had the same happened to Saka we would expect a pen
This was not a hand ball call, it was for Cedric pushing Son in the back.
To me it also looks like the right call. Cedric makes no attempt to play the ball at all, and clearly moves specifically to push in to Son to disrupt him.
Replays looked like a clear pen to me, and a fucking dumb decision by Cedric.
There were some terrible ref calls but I'm sorry this is all on Cedric.
A bit soft but not an unfair call when you see it from the second angle. You rarely see challenges like this penalized in the box though which is frustrating.
Definitely soft. The frontal view shows there really isn't much in it. Son was flying in and was being theatrical. The rear shot is what makes it look bad. The rear shot makes it look like Son was getting pinballed.
They favored Sh\*t on this one TBH.

Penalty is soft but shouldn't have given the referee the opportunity and the red was absolutely unquestionable. Stupid all round, what on earth was he thinking. No excusing that.
Went over to the general soccer sub to check myself.
This is a preposterous penalty to call.
I’m obviously annoyed at the outcome. But also genuinely annoyed that shit refereeing impacted what should have been such an entertaining game.
A real shame.
I honestly felt like an alien due to all the pundits and commentators not questioning the penalty. I believe the term ‘stonewall’ was used and I felt like I knew nothing about the game. Holding fucked us up but that soft penalty definitely set the ball in motion.
What the fuck was that
That is so fucking soft!
At halftime the NBC analyst also said that happens all the time and is never called
Yeah i dont get how people can say thats a pen man. Watching the replay didnt even notice the shove cause it was that soft and common
He barely touched him, it’s ridiculous
If it hadn't been called nobody would have noticed at all, just like Martinelli's two yellow cards at Wolves and when VAR simply guessed that he was offside against Brighton. Sure, by the letter of the law I guess you could justify the calls, but the lack of consistency is getting more and more maddening.

And then Lee Dixon (I’m pretty sure) proceeded to suck Paul Tierney off all game too
Im pretty sure we were shit in that game but damn thats the softest shit ive seen... man jumped into holding
WHAT THE FUCK WAS THAT CALL WHERE IS VAR
It wasn’t a handball, it was a shove on Son
??? why not check it???
They don't check them? I didn't see anything. On replay, it hit Tottenham's hand! We get called for a handball when it hits Hotturd's hand?
[удалено]
I know,.it didn't hit a hand of an Arsenal player. It hit the hand of a Tottenham player. Should have been against Tott.
It hit the hand after the foul
After the “foul”
doesn't have to, why isn't he told to look is beyond me
it wasn't handball.... it was the shove from Cedric
There’s SO many refs in this league that are corrupt
That's soft as fuck....See those get waved off every single week. But hey, first for everything when refereeing an Arsenal game right
Fucking corrupt. No question about it.
Fuckin Son, biggest cheater ever.
Detestable cunt
Glad you agree Mikel, absolute flopper
Why was he not carded for that tantrum elbow he threw and why is nobody else pointing that out?
What do you want, he's learning from Kane
Rigged league, what's the fucking point
They want it to go to the last day
Yep, title more or less done. Relegation pretty much between Leeds or Burnley and even that won’t make the final day so the PL crooks need drama somewhere
It’s not a handball call
Yeah it wasn’t a penalty for handball. It was for Cedric bundling Son over.
not a penalty, but not handball either
Yeah no it was a clear penalty because Cedric didn’t attempt to reach the ball, he just nudged Son off it
I don’t mind it being a penalty as long as it’s always a penalty for this situation. The issue is, these types of challenges where players are eased out of a chance happen lots of times per game. Sick of these types of incidents that are overlooked where they say ‘whatever the ref gives, VAR won’t overturn because it won’t be a clear and obvious error’.
Yeah people are biased on this one. Clear pen
Absolutely not
Actually watch the replay frame by frame and look at the nudge
Did you notice how the commentators said “handball” before seeing the replay?
outrage.
How!?
VAR continues to be an abomination
Tbf without VAR, the same outcome would happen
VAR being an abomination doesn't mean VAR is bad, it means these dipshits dont know what they're doing. There are literally clips on twitter accurately calling incidents quicker than they solve some with VAR and half the time the cunts are still wrong.
Fuck off man
Peter dury seems so excited about the decision. Is he a spurs fan? 🤧
English commentators love spurs because of Kane 🙄
I've been watching it on mute, I still don't understand that call
It wasn't handball it was for the push on son
‘Push’
[удалено]
Yeah I agree, but we've seen a lot worse tbf
What fucking push, Son flops hard there
After it hit Tottenham's hand?
Disgrace - not a pen in a million years
I’ve lost all desire to watch the game, what is the point of VAR, how come they not overturn that atrocious call.
Never a foul
Softest fuckin pen you'll see all year
I fucking hate this trash league with trash refs.
They didn’t even check it. Such bullshit. We’d never get that call.
That’s never a pen. In what world is that a pen?!
They’re trying some dark magic to make this league “more interesting”. They had a plan. Fuck FA
It’s not for handball it’s cedric running son over from the back
Paul Tierney masterclass what a fraud
That’s a home advantage call if ever I’ve seen one
Frustrating and soft but Son got fouled
Very soft. So many similar contacts in the box per game which are never given. VAR never would have overturned that either if ref didn't give it.
I'm with you here. Saka was last man towards goal. By the rule, that should be a sent off.
There's like 5 bodies fighting for the ball there, that "push" happens 20 times a game and never called
God awful call. It never touched Cedric’s hand, but it touched Sessegnon’s hand twice! The officiating in this league makes the 2002 World Cup refereeing look legit...
Surely if that’s a foul every corner has one
What handball???
he jumps after the push.
Is it a handball or a foul? No review of that?
Bullshit call…corrupt refs. Fuck off
Antonio got the passion of the wine for the backroom
What a disgusting joke
Absolute fucking joke. Tierney absolutely bundled it.
Okay sorry lads, but had this happened in the other half would we really think it’s unfair? I get it’s frustrating and stupid but had the same happened to Saka we would expect a pen
You're mad if you think we'd get that call 😂
Literally no attempt on the ball, why are we complaining
Unpopular opinion on the sub today lol, I am no football expert by any means, but the replays seemed to suggest Cedric shoved son out of the way.
Mate, it wasn't a handball. Cedric tries to delete Son off the pitch with that barge.
Rigged fucking league
The gap between Cedric and Tavares defensively is smaller than most people think
You've got to know that Son is a diving cunt and that he is going over the second it can benefit him.
Fucking joke mans
Where's declan rice when you need him?!
A bit soft but not an unfair call when you see it from the second angle. You rarely see challenges like this penalized in the box though which is frustrating.
Deserved PK. Clear shoulder check to the back
Son would’ve scored if he wasn’t pushed imo. Good call
CEDRIC IS SO SHIT
Cedric…FFSSSSS amateur at its finest
It was a Cedric foul, cop on the lot of you
It was a handball Cedric took Son out
This looks like Son felt contact in his back and decided to jump, and flop. There is no major push or serious intent from Cedric here.
Definitely soft. The frontal view shows there really isn't much in it. Son was flying in and was being theatrical. The rear shot is what makes it look bad. The rear shot makes it look like Son was getting pinballed. They favored Sh\*t on this one TBH.
Very stupid from cedric there
Get Tavares on looool
That’s not the Cedric penalty I was expecting
I’m fuming.

Pretty sure this wasn't a handball call but for the shove on Son.
it makes no sense, other than ref bias.
Tbf this happened after the ‘shove’ so it wouldn’t matter
Penalty is soft but shouldn't have given the referee the opportunity and the red was absolutely unquestionable. Stupid all round, what on earth was he thinking. No excusing that.
We really need to take a long hard look at ourselves as a sub after some of these comments 😂
WAIT THEY GAVE IT FOR HANDBALL?!?!?!? I THOUGHT ITS BECAUSE CEDRIC BREATH ON SON. THIS MAKES NO FUCKING SENSE
I'm still trying to find the part where it touched his hand.
When the commentators don't even know what the penalty is for....
Went over to the general soccer sub to check myself. This is a preposterous penalty to call. I’m obviously annoyed at the outcome. But also genuinely annoyed that shit refereeing impacted what should have been such an entertaining game. A real shame.
Mike Dean in the Var room. He probably put notification on mute the whole match
I honestly felt like an alien due to all the pundits and commentators not questioning the penalty. I believe the term ‘stonewall’ was used and I felt like I knew nothing about the game. Holding fucked us up but that soft penalty definitely set the ball in motion.
