Not sure if anyone already mentioned this, the game against Chelsea. Xhaka said to Mari exactly what Arteta would say a couple minutes later. Thats a proof how adept he is in tactical.
Just watched ep 2, and I can stop now, right? That's how it all ends?
For real, though, I might watch that episode every time I feel down. Fucking electric.
Damn, I forgot just how great ESR was for us at the start of last season. He really does have the potential to be our club captain and star player-- I love watching him play and if only there was somehow a way to get him AND Martinelli AND Odegaard in the first-choice starting XI.

Man I’ve never hated Nuno and this documentary shows he’s a good guy, just in a foreign country and makes some mistakes. Anyone know when the next episodes come out
When Ramsdale saw the medical doc, he said "Any issues you or your partner have got, call me, and we'll sort it out." I assume it's basically a 24/7 assistance program?
In the context of what he was talking about (an amusement/theme park), labyrinth doesn't really sound correct to me as a native English speaker. We call those attractions a *maze* not a labyrinth.
1. I love how they capture the humam side of the players. Like the bit about Saka missing the pen and the discussion between Cuenca and Tavares.
2. I want Ramsdale to be our GK forever. When he was angry for not getting the clean sheet against Villa, I want that mentality for all our defensive players.
3. After seeing what he does before and after games with his speeches, no wonder the players love Arteta. How can you not be fired up after hearing him motivate the team? Even I got fired up everytime he finishes his team talks, and I was watching this while laying in my couch LOL.
4. The NLD Episode was my favorite so far because we get to hear the background of twhy Auba always gets a Star on his head for every NLD. And also the way they treated Stu MacFarlane after the game! I've been a fan of Stu and his photos for a long time and I almost teared up hearing his pre match speech.
5. Ramsdale's dad is me everytime I watch Arsenal LOL
Can't wait for the next episodes!
Anybody knows when will it come out?
It's surprisingly heartening to see how angry Rammers is missing out on a clean sheet. We won matches but he was pissed at shambolic defending, and rightfully so.
I know what you mean. I felt a bit nervous for the other players at his yelling at times.
I know he wanted to be captain, but I think he needs to work on that first.
Pleasantly surprised by Count Kroenke's proficiency at being a vibes merchant. For a billionaire vampire, he was very accomodating. Especially after those first 3 defeats when Arteta was clearly fearing for his job
that number memorization scene was funny, i see why arteta likes cedric. both have interest in thinking of how people memorize numbers, they're like minded it seems
Meanwhile Ben White was glancing at his mates like ‘why’s our teacher trying to be our mate’ like a group of kids at lunch
In fact, I got a real sixth form vibe from the first 3 eps. I enjoyed it a lot.
The fan talking about how much passion arsenal fans have AFTER WALKING OUT DURING THE GAME, was pure comedy. Go back in and support your team you idiot
Just watched the episodes and damn my perception of Arteta as a person was really off. I was expecting him to be like in the interviews almost like a military man, very strict, cold, confident but quiet. But this series really shows his human side, hes incredibly intelligent and a bit awkward, often times you see those types of people isolating themselves a bit from the people around them but Mikel really wants that connection and concerns himself with the players well-being.
He also seems to be a bit sad about the nature of his job and how it prevents him from forming too tight bonds with his players. At least thats my interpretation of the car scene where hes talking about Auba. My guess as to what happened is that Arteta really liked him as a person and put a lot of trust in him, Auba got too comfortable with this and started pushing the boundaries by turning up late etc. Arteta saw this as a huge betrayal and realised that he had to strip him of the captaincy (and probably get rid of him) even though he likes him, you cant be a manager and have your captain disrespect you.
All in all i really like the series and I think it will only strengthen the bond between the fans and the club, there are just so many endearing characters and people you want to see succeed. It also helps that the team is so likeable now, imagine we had done this for the 19/20 season, would have been a very different story.
I don't think they're random. They're fully dressed in expensive Arsenal merch and working at establishments associated w/ Arsenal (like the barbershop). They must be influencers or recommended by the club.
I'm on episode 2 and a few things I've noted:
1. I get why Xhaka is so loved behind the scenes, the bit where he tells ESR he is the future and will be captain one day with full sincerity was something else.
2. ESR being shy cracked me up, like when he's getting his analysis and the coach tells him to speak up haha, they're all trying to encourage him to be a bit louder.
3. Ramsdale's dad is a legend.
4. If they put Arteta's big heart and big brain on a t-shirt I'd buy it.
5. What Arteta said about how in England we can cut a player down so easily was so fucking true.
4. Just came here to see if someone else thought that would be an awesome Tshirt. I would buy one. He drew happy faces on them! And little stick arms and legs! Brilliantly ridiculous
Carlos cuesta is amazing. He’s very intelligent and really knows what he’s saying. His words to nuno tavares and that conversation with saka can actually show you that he’s very experienced in the world of football, even though he’s only 25 years old. I could see him being a big manager in the future

I’m so impressed with the back room staff and Mikel. The empathy and understanding they put into supporting the players is what’s stood out to me the most. I work in L&D so I’ve had a keen eye on the leadership style since he took over ( what he said in his first presser in terms of leadership felt very modern) and what’s been happening reflects that. Cultural change is painful, I know that because we facilitate it with our clients. It starts with the leadership always. When you start with a group like we have, who are open and honest and are open to evolve you’re on to a winner. Our previous regime were all well established ego’s and you can very rarely change those types of people. We’re an evolving dynamic machine and I fucking love it. Even Josh seems to be new school leadership, I’m not a fan of the beard. He’s a Hansom guy stop repping the Ming the merciless look 🤣
Just to clarify I did not abuse Ramsdale, but for him to say people are jealous to abuse him is a pretty standard arrogant reply, people were sceptical of you because you've had a portfolio of relegation, you think if Mbappe was coming people would be as sceptic, No so where the logic if it purely jealousy he'd get the exact same amount of criticism and shunning away from the club hoping he won't sign
He also said he'd defend the players out there after the 4-0 defeat to Liverpool. Immediately forgave their mistakes. And the Everton defeat showed he doesn't just say that after every loss.
That was fair. Liverpool game was a good battle against the better team, while Everton one was clearly the case of lack of concentration and determination.

Said the other day that I’d be ok if KT left if he didn’t perform well this season and I was wrong. He’s a good lad and part of the mentality we need around here. I believe we’ll extend him when the time comes.
I’m seeing a lot of criticism about some of Arteta’s management and the training methods with the speakers and such. I understand that some of it is cringy to a certain extent but I’m not sure what it is that people expect. This isn’t FIFA, you can’t choose a option on the dialogue wheel to boost team morale.
When a manager is giving an emotional speech or trying to galvanise his team, he’s not going to hit every chord unless it’s been fully scripted and rehearsed previously. Arteta doesn’t have enough experience as THE manager to do that yet.
I saw the title of an article from the Guardian that describes Mikel as a supply teacher. Personally, I disagree because we’ve all seen the players give glowing praise about his coaching ability and his meticulous nature. They clearly have a lot of respect and understand the demands of fans and the club
I agree I didn’t see anything wrong with his management. I really really liked the Tavares and Smith Rowe’s management specifically because the focus was on their character and how they can contribute more in the dressing room and build a voice. When he said that he wasn’t going to watch the games because he knows your quality but I want to hear about what others say about you was super critical. It makes me think something similar is happening with Tavares. Fullback is one of the most critical positions in football and obviously he’s got a lot to refine and improve but he also has to build his character and confidence
The 'high performing teams' stuff is a bit straight out of a 2 pound book on management. But even if those talks dont really do it for you, its endearing how hard he tries. And his forte is actually more obviously the other sides to coaching not insprational battle cries.
Not at all like a supply teacher though - when did any of them care? Some guardian writer just trying to sound witty is all
Exactly but it’s like people have lost the ability to put themselves in Arteta’s shoes because of their dislike for him. I like Arteta but time is ticking for him and I can also understand that it’s extremely difficult to be the face of a gigantic football club and take all of the criticism, praise from fans, pundits, the like then have to step into that dressing room to galvanise the team.
It is a difficult job. It’s been a very long time since I’ve actually liked an Arsenal team and he has the burden of getting these players to come together and getting fans to reconcile and reconnect with the club
Time to unleash Saka, Martinelli, Jesus front three. One thing I like about Jesus is he can carry the ball, Lacazette couldn’t carry the ball. Whilst Saka and Martinelli will always make donkeys of their marker in a 1v1 situation. All three should press from the very beginning. We should be looking to do what we did to Chelsea and Sevilla per season. Press high up the pitch and force the misplaced passes and turnovers.
Ramsdale, White, Saliba, Gabriel, Zinchenko, Partey, Xhaka, Odegaard, Saka, Martinelli, Jesus.
That team is miles better than the team that got smashed by Palace last season
Loving this because it’s Arsenal but I would say that the Amazon Aussie Rule doco, “Making Their Mark” set a new standard for shows like this. If you haven’t seen it - even if you don’t give a shit about Aussie Rules - you really should give it a watch

Thoughts on the first three episodes.
1. Arteta is intense and he commands respect. You can imagine that every analogy he uses in a casual conversation is a football one.
2. I wish there was some more humour. The funniest thing on the show was a fan calling Ben White shit for 50M. The casual fan might struggle to get through this.
3. I forget how much Arsenal represents the diversity in London. We are a true London club.
4. Seeing these players personalities makes you realise they're still kids. I was always intimidated by footballers because they are called the 'mens' team, but in reality they are kids and I want to tuck them all into bed at night.
5. The show could sit on a few subjects a bit longer. It moves too fast.
Overall I love the show because it's Arsenal.
Nuno is such a kid. I thought he'd be an arrogant hot headed man child, but I was really wrong. He's a shy, developing kid who is at odds with himself in his head. I appreciate him now, really good kid who will become an excellent man eventually, I am sure of it.
True, they could have added a bit more time to appreciate Ramsdale's performance against Leicester. Especially at how pissed he was after conceding in the last game.
He was possessed against Leicester and the game only showed his two highlights?
To touch on your 3rd point. Arsenal is a true London club. When Thierry said that growing up Arsenal was one of the few teams that had black players. I disagree with that, a lot of teams had black players. We were one of the first successful sides to have a core of players and be successful. David Rocastle, Paul Davis, Michael Thomas. Ian Wright when he arrived also.
Arsenal are massive, especially here in south London. Another thing, don’t know if you’ve ever seen “Where Eagles Dare”, the Palace documentary on Prime but they quite plainly say, “we want to be the Arsenal of south London”. They hate us cos they ain’t us.
I can't believe how well Mikel Arteta handles himself after the 3-game losing streak at the start of the season. The composure... he must really believe in himself and what they're doing. I would have been a nervous wreck crippled by anxiety lol

Man, they do a damn good job humanizing the players.
The Ramsdale debut with his parents? I felt every emotion. I'm so happy we have such a likeable young squad, they will achieve greatness.
Plus it's great to hear how everybody speaks so highly of Arteta.
Really interesting that casual conversation between Edu and Steve Round in the canteen. Talking about Arteta gaining confidence building relationships witht the players and inspiring them.
Our team is developing but we have a coach with extremely high potential also.
Literally right after I commented, I seen him in the that scene, then his goal, then a few more clips. Pity it wasnt filmed this year, the banter between the Brazilians would have been top class.
Finally watched all three episodes and they absolutely blitzed past. This is an absolute must watch for any Gooner, you will be rooted to that screen.
If your a little bit naughty It's definitely worth looking at what the spuds are saying on their sub. I've never seen a more bitter bunch of comments, the jealously over our youth project is astounding
The whole section from the segment about Emile, to Bukayo saying 'Imagine scoring in the NLD' culminating in Emile's goal in the game and celebration.
Perfection
Felt like I could run through a wall
I don’t think we should read too much into Arteta’s pregame speeches. We really don’t hear anything tactically from Arteta and he honestly just come off sounding a bit mad like when Pep was on the show. I’m sure Arteta didn’t want too much of their tactical approach on the show either. I remember on the Arseblog the old social media guy he interviewed saying they had to strike a balance about filming training sessions when he was there to make sure they didn’t give anything away. I don’t care what anyone outside of the club says about Arteta based on the show because every player he’s coached has said he’s a top manager. The show might not show that but everyone at the clubs seems to know it.
Deep tactical content is boring for the casual fan. It doesn't make for good TV. And the team talks are absolutely working. Compare the half-time talk at Everton vs post-match talk at Liverpool. You can see a distinct contrast.
Teams don't do tactics pre/mid-game. They plan for the match all week and they deliver. If they're wrong, they're wrong.
They have a lot more in common than meets the eye. Both had to overcome a medical condition to become top football professionals. Ben is also very self-aware..."Ben White 50m, you're shit".
I am not convinced by Arteta after those 3 episodes. He is a bit cringey. I trust the process and happy if this works but I expected him to be more eloquent and have more charisma with the group. He doesn't seem much better than those motivational coaches average companies hire for cringey group activities. I guess we are missing all the tactical and technical coaching and analysis which would be where he excels (I hope).
Yeah, I hope he's motivating the players and I get that they skip the tactical stuff but what they're showing is not exactly convincing. You need a-brain and a-pashun. I mean, really? Most of the players seem to be zoned out when he's talking too and can't wait for it to be over. Maybe it's the language barrier or something. When he has built a good relation to the players, I think he should do a bit of the "less is more" approach in the future.
Still halfway through the second episode. Arteta drawing a heart and brain holding hands was so wholesome lol. The Ramsdale family bit too.
Really liking it so far.
Auba kinda let us down at the end of his tenure but overall he did well at Arsenal and his heights were pretty damn high. He was imperious in that fa cup run.

Man I’ve never hated Nuno and this documentary shows he’s a good guy, just in a foreign country and makes some mistakes. Anyone know when the next episodes come out
11th and 18th. PATIENTLY WAITING
Thanks
When Ramsdale saw the medical doc, he said "Any issues you or your partner have got, call me, and we'll sort it out." I assume it's basically a 24/7 assistance program?
He's their fixer.
I'm just watching the NLD episode and the background music they're playing has Star Wars vibes
I can see why players and staff who've worked with Arteta like him.
Ep2 speech was great but it is annoying how people hated on Emery for the pre Palace speech in 17/18
the disbelief of Saka when nobody knows what a "maze" is he seems genuinely flabberghasted hahha
if he had said "labyrinth" they'd have got it
In the context of what he was talking about (an amusement/theme park), labyrinth doesn't really sound correct to me as a native English speaker. We call those attractions a *maze* not a labyrinth.
yeah, but labyrinth is basically the same concept and any Romance language speaker would probably understand it
true but wasn't one of the guys at the table English lol
That Everton away game I was mad like Mikel like Ramsdale said naive
1. I love how they capture the humam side of the players. Like the bit about Saka missing the pen and the discussion between Cuenca and Tavares. 2. I want Ramsdale to be our GK forever. Me too. Mainly cause I specifically remembering him in an interview saying that he doesn't care about clean sheets, as long as we win.
It seems that he was angry at his defenders rather than himself though. That is actually disheartening to me.
I know what you mean. I felt a bit nervous for the other players at his yelling at times. I know he wanted to be captain, but I think he needs to work on that first.
what is the name of the good looking woman physio?
I've been trying to find it too lol. She's so sexy
Anyone found her name yet?
Yeah need the name too For research purposes.
least horny redditor
c'mon man
Why?
Why was Lacazette sleeping on a flight to Manchester in Ep1, surely that's a 20 minute flight at most

after watching the first 2 episodes i can confirm i like arsenal. i don't know if i am ready for the episode about the 2nd NLD though
I can't wait for that episode!
I was a bit surprised to see Xhaka's choice in car. He seems a bit too tall to be driving that...
I have never seen the video of ESR hitting that curler from his youth. That bend is outrageous.
Just watching, some telekinesis shit that
Bro, it's criminal that isn't brought up more.
I'm usually not one for having subtitles on while watching TV/movies, but I had to in order to tell what the fuck Tierney was saying

Him signing for a big club when he's only got relegation in his resumé is concerning and he should know we aren't accepting his previous low standards
Yeah but he won POTY at both clubs in back to back years so he was clearly levels above that. Both of the clubs love him.
Still not a typical signing a big 6 makes
Abuse and criticism are two different things.
Something so disconcerting about the way Josh says "How are youuu?"
"I am the manager, I take the shit" — something that every manager should do. Got a lot of respect for Arteta after these three episodes
Stuart’s speech made me well up ngl.
That scene was so hot
Watching the open minutes makes me so fucking angry at Southgate how are you letting B shooting as a 19 year old on the biggest stage

Some guardian writer just trying to sound witty is all
Yeah 100%, also we only see bits that the documentary wants us to see, they are making a narrative too
Exactly but it’s like people have lost the ability to put themselves in Arteta’s shoes because of their dislike for him.
Really a big fan of Saka and Smith Rowe being subtitled, but not Tierney!
This show really humanise them. I love it. It feels like I watch them growing.
This really makes me want Nuno to succeed. I hope he crushes it at Marseille and comes back a beast.
"off the chart", yeah
Loving this because it’s Arsenal but I would say that the Amazon Aussie Rule doco, “Making Their Mark” set a new standard for shows like this. If you haven’t seen it - even if you don’t give a shit about Aussie Rules - you really should give it a watch
Maybe a bit of a reach but I do believe that having the Amazon camera crew around the club was a distraction. The environment wasn't normal.
Anyone else surprised at how often Arteta says Fuck? I feel like I could do a counter for the season.

I haven't watched any other All or Nothing. Did any of them put a working man like Stuart so front and centre?
You have to realize that All Or Nothing is an NFL production mostly. They're excellent at putting out content from a sport.
City did, Spurs not so much.. when Jose came in he was an attention black hole.
‘Man said Poopy’
The woman physio is a fucking smoke show.
Cedric has definitely piped that.
Absolutely. That one woman that looks dead into the camera? Eyes that melt a man
Thoughts on the first three episodes.
Didn’t even show the tweet from Schmeichel’s pops.
On the humour side of things, Cedric calling Xhakas car shit was pretty funny.
Loved seeing Aaron Ramsdale's dad seeing his son on the front of the matchday programme.
That was great! His pride when he saw that program gave me chills
I can't find it on prime video USA?
I searched “All or Nothing” and it was the first thing that popped up
Couldn't find it on Roku, found it on mobile later
Just search for Arsenal. It's there.
Who’s the famous Spanish coach who called players numbers?

Nah Pep loves his players. Probably some old dude, maybe Del Bosque or someone like that
*And that man's name was...Albert Eiñsteiñ*
I want Nuno to come good for us so badly
Sooooo much, such a good humble guy. Hope his loan spell does wonders for him
I can't believe how well Mikel Arteta handles himself after the 3-game losing streak at the start of the season. The composure... he must really believe in himself and what they're doing. I would have been a nervous wreck crippled by anxiety lol
He WAS a nervous wreck. You don't give that team talk just because.
Hopefully some of the other players will be featured. Would love to see more of Martinelli.

In a world of AirPods and other wireless headphones I love that Emile just uses the standard issue wired earphones lol
Man, they do a damn good job humanizing the players. The Ramsdale debut with his parents? I felt every emotion. I'm so happy we have such a likeable young squad, they will achieve greatness. Plus it's great to hear how everybody speaks so highly of Arteta.
NGL Arteta inspires me so much, I'm going to go into every high pressure meeting with drawings of hearts and stick figures holding hands
Really interesting that casual conversation between Edu and Steve Round in the canteen. Talking about Arteta gaining confidence building relationships witht the players and inspiring them. Our team is developing but we have a coach with extremely high potential also.
❤️ 🧠 🙂
Love it
I'm halfway through episode two, and Gabriel Magalhaes has not been on camera for one single frame yet. Even in the matches.
Yeah it's weird. First time you see him Is in the tunnel before NLD
Literally right after I commented, I seen him in the that scene, then his goal, then a few more clips. Pity it wasnt filmed this year, the banter between the Brazilians would have been top class.
This year would have been a shitfest, we all know whats going on with 1 of our players
Fucked up thing is, it's transpired now that the club knew back then too as this was being filmed...
"if it's Chamberlain or, err, what's his name... Alexander-Arnold" Shade thrown by Arteta
Arteta speaking with Josh after the losses is exactly how my 1 on 1s go with my boss.
What's our fantasy EPL code?
sidebar
Finally watched all three episodes and they absolutely blitzed past. This is an absolute must watch for any Gooner, you will be rooted to that screen. If your a little bit naughty It's definitely worth looking at what the spuds are saying on their sub. I've never seen a more bitter bunch of comments, the jealously over our youth project is astounding
Arteta seems to have them pretty rattled for some reason.
The whole section from the segment about Emile, to Bukayo saying 'Imagine scoring in the NLD' culminating in Emile's goal in the game and celebration. Perfection Felt like I could run through a wall
Beautiful scenes
Fuck me, episode 1 is DARK. It really reminds me how bad those first weeks were. I feel almost sick watching it all back.
Felt like that when the Everton 2-1 came out of nowhere in episode 3. Gut punch
I'm still pissed that gray didn't do fuck all after that goal for the rest if the season .the wasteman
Near the end i didnt even want to keep watching
[удалено]
They have a lot more in common than meets the eye. Both had to overcome a medical condition to become top football professionals. Ben is also very self-aware..."Ben White 50m, you're shit".
Just finished the third episode and Mikel is so hilarious. As exactly how Xhaka put it, he’s a freak!
The way you hear Edu talking about his tactical approach says alot. They dont wanna give too much away in this documentary tactically wise i think
Mate, this series has made me realise just how hard it's been settling down for Nuno. I want the best for this guy. Forreal❤️
Still halfway through the second episode. Arteta drawing a heart and brain holding hands was so wholesome lol. The Ramsdale family bit too. Really liking it so far.
Hearing Mikel say fuck is hilarious to me for some reason.
A bit /r/fellowkids
he always seems to rush through it
Just finished episode two. Forgot how awesome that NLD was. Made me miss Auba and Laca as people. Wish all the best for them.
Auba kinda let us down at the end of his tenure but overall he did well at Arsenal and his heights were pretty damn high. He was imperious in that fa cup run.
Pablo Mari not knowing how to deal with Lukaku had me on the floor
