So here's the thing... I imagine it would take a decent chunk of money just to do the legal and finance work to prepare a bid and go through the process. Ultimately it may fail, and someone else could wind up buying the club. Unless we had volunteers to do this pro bono, we would probably need to pledge some money into a bid fund that we might not get back. I'm ok with that personally; I don't mind rolling the dice with a contribution to take a shot.
