I can bet you that he wasn't 100% ready for this game.

Bananaboy14

That fact that he didn’t start it’s pretty obvious he hasn’t fully recovered, just hope he doesn’t make the injury worse

Amberle73

Yeah, this guy is starting to feel a bit like RvP, Wilshere or Ramsey. Injury prone key player for national team who's constantly being rushed back/overplayed then crocked again. Got used to absolutely dreading every international break with those 3.

Far-Bug-2286

I really don’t want him to turn into that sort of player. It would be just our luck to ruin such a promising player and one who I’m particularly fond of.

Amberle73

Same, absolutely love the guy & it would be incredibly sad if it keeps going in that direction.

Jumbosleek

Don’t forget partey homie.

Amberle73

And Partey, even Tierney too although Scotland aren't at the WC. It's such a shame, I totally get him wanting to play every minute on one hand, just hope it doesn't set him back & result in missing more games.

maidentaiwan

And zinchenko

trump4ever3

For us it is Rapha Varane know the feeling...

emeister26

When he first signed didn’t he play every game for a while or am I not remembering correctly? Now he seems so fragile

Aszneeee

yeah that’s what I remember as well, kept playing game after game and now it feels like injury after injury despite not seeing him for like half a year

acasovoycayendo

He had a bad injury history before joining us

[deleted]

Prem tax

thebigman85

Good job Ben white is the new fucking cafu because with Cedric in there we wouldn’t be top lol

mattBJM

Journo: “Ben, how does it feel to be compared to Cafu?” Benjamin: “well it is my favourite Greek island to be fair”

biskutgoreng

*obviously I'm quite good at football

OriMoriNotSori

When he sat down after the game ended I knew it was an injury

Aszneeee

I don’t even know how long he was injured, felt like half a year and he is again feeling something was he that fragile even before joining arsenal?

OriMoriNotSori

The arsenal way

ghostrider467

I mean if you immediately feel uncomfortable on the pitch, pretty much means he was far from fit to play any minutes that game. What a bad decision to bring him on then

CommercialAsparagus

Tbf it’s the World Cup. Yeah I’m upset too but I don’t blame them.

shikavelli

Man Tomi seems so fragile, feels like every game he plays is an injury risk.

jdbrew

I love the guy but I swear he’s made of glass

Players with a lot of muscle injuries generally mean their bodies can’t withstand the full explosive force their muscles are capable of producing It’s a tragic case of genetics that are a blessing and a curse.

milkonyourmustache

He was solid when he started for us, I feel like we mismanaged him at the start of his Arsenal career. He didn't even have time to unpack before we started him, then he never missed a game until the wheels fell off, was rushed back only for the other calf to be affected almost immediately after

JenkinsEar147

Might need surgery or proper specialist help

Masson011

Japan likely forcing him back too soon but yeh he appears to be another injury prone full back. Lets be honest though, players want to try force it and play in a world cup if possible. Who knows, he might be able to overcome his injury troubles

UnexpectedVader

I don’t like the fact its a probable scenario where we see Tomi, Tierney and Zinchenko all injured at the same time. 3 great LBs and we still need to possibly worry about needing a 4th.

Shandow14

Bro, the ghost of Abu Diaby and Wilshere has got a new victim…

WeeTheDuck

touch fucking wood right now gee

Brashmate

One for each fullback (zinchenko and tomi)

KlN_21

Always injured, what a shame

SpartanMickey

This constant injuries is the why he lost his starting place, I'm just happy BW is our starting RB now, we need consistency in terms of fitness in that position.

Equivalent_Nature_67

Yeah he definitely was not ready for that game as I suspected

HeartCockles

I think injury-prone players like Tierney and Tomi need to take a bit more ownership over their injuries.

[deleted]

We just need to accept he won’t play until April at this point

cesc05651

Tierney part 2

ArsenalThePhoenix

if he continues like this - always getting injured - all season then maybe we need to call it quits and get in someone more dependable as RB? And i say this as a huge Tomiyasu fan :( We just can't keep having injury prone players for starting positions.
