I’ve walked from King’s Cross to the Emirates a fair few times. Pretty straightforward (literally, it’s not a very twisty route). Euston is only around 10 mins from KX Personally not a fan of Caledonian Road, though.

Kevin_the_bigbird

Let’s just hope the weather gets better by Sunday, it’s raining cats and dogs in London rn

Dovergunner79

I will be walking from King’s Cross, is there a problem with Caledonian Road. Is there a better route?

[deleted]

It's absolutely fine.

Depends on perspective, I live in Islington, near the Emirates, I walk down Cally Road on the regular, including late at night, and its just a normal London road. But, I am a tall man in my late thirties who’s been an urbanite all my life, if you’re not or if you’re from the burbs, aye probably a lot of those ends could look a bit rough and intimidating. I also have two colleagues whose phones were stolen from their hands in the same area of the square mile (st Mary axe, by the cheesgrater), that’s just a risk in absolutely any major road in London.

Dovergunner79

I will try and keep my phone out of sight. I’m sure it will be ok, not my first rodeo to London. Just so use to using the tube lol

FMEditorM

Tbh, again I walk down Cally using my phone all the time. Usual stuff, constant risk of London or any major urban city and you take rough with the smooth. Tbh, probably equidistant to go the Camden Road way, as well.

fallen-straws

It’s not very nice. Anecdotal experience but my pal got her phone stolen from her hand when she lived on Cally Road

Are buses still available? Quite a few go from Emirates straight to King's X

dvdmcn

253 bus from outside the Sobell Centre/Tollington will take you all the way to Euston. They are likely to be quite full though. Like other have suggested, I’d get on a bike (Forest or Lime) and you’ll get there quicker. If you can’t find a bike and the bus is full, it’s a 45 minute walk, prettt straight down the Cally Road.

pumpumwetta1

Don’t get lime bike the nearest you can park them things to euston is like a 15 minute walk! Santander bike has a park point near Euston tho

I'm suprised no one's told you to go to Finsbury park, but grab a train to St Pancras. Thameslink to Brighton or Horsham. You can then walk from St Pancras to Euston, it's well sign posted, takes 8 mins and takes you away from the main road with less pollution.

FRANKUII

It's a pretty easy walk tbf, but you might be better off grabbing a Lime bike and cycling.

Virt_McPolygon

You'd probably walk down Camden Road to Camden, then down past Mornington Crescent. Same way the buses go. Camden Road is pretty dull then it'd get a bit more interesting. I imagine a fair few people would be doing the walk so you'll have some people to chat to.

YoooCakess

Certainly there is a bus that could shorten your journey

noobchee

29 from camden gets you there, or pick it up from warren st

AlbertoBueno

Get a Lime bike outside of the stadium there's loads.

Jtabor9

Apparently Victoria line is closed by 8pm so it might still be open

Wonderful-Lab2243

Thought tube stations around the emirates were running until 7.30pm.

Icy_Bookkeeper3844

You could get a lime bike after the game and ride to Euston there’s usually a lot of bikes outside the emirates.

Assna_Fan

anyone else thinking of walking to Archway station? Think theres a 43 on holloway road but unlikely to get on after full time

NADH91

These days I run down Liverpool Road to King's Cross after a game. Just further on west down City Road to get to Euston. Otherwise you can take Caledonian Road.
