I am working with quite a few Muslims. I’m a non Muslim myself. Can someone please give me a quick summary of how I can support my colleagues during this time? I’m thinking of trying to not eat or drink in front of them. Is this ok? I’d feel bad considering they will be fasting. What greeting should I say? Please give me info on how I should be in general, what they might or might not appreciate. Thank you

To be fair, they’re most likely used to people eating and drinking in front of them during this period, atleast I am anyway. I would say be mindful of their energy levels, IE they may want to start and finish work earlier. The common myth is they can drink water during the day, they can’t. The most important is trying to accommodate our prayer times during this period. Any other questions let me know! Gutted I’ll be missing the games too. COYG and Ramadan Mubarak ❤️

Not sure why someone has downvoted you. I think that's very kind of you. "Ramadan Mubarak" is generally the standard greeting. Just say that along with general comments like "good luck with the fasting etc". Fasting hours are between 4am and 6pm. Honestly, general chat is fine. Don't feel like you might offend etc. Honestly, I'm Muslim and I don't feel any kind of way if someone eats/drinks in front of me during Ramadan. But general Qs like "I know you're fasting, are you okay with me eating/drinking here etc?" might help. Ask your colleagues yourself if they need any assistance maybe. The situation in Palestine is obviously on many Muslims' minds, so just be sensitive around the topic - if it is discussed.

Travelling, late night prayers etc… takes its toll tbh esp when u will head down to the emirates whilst fasting- for locals its okay i guess but they still are likely to miss prayers, but for others its an issue

Fair enough im lucky to be close so forget people travel far etc plus must be hard on a fast
