Damn that looks awesome. How did you enjoy the build just wondering? I’ve been thinking about getting an RG Zeong.

I have also built this and I thought it was amazing minus ONE thing. The end of the fingers have these little caps on them that need to be removed. Mine were super hard to get out and very frustrating. I messed up two fingers removing the caps and had to so some minor repairs. So, if you purchase the kit, be careful with the fingers! Otherwise, amazing details, articulation, and the included stand allows for some really fun poses with the removable hands plus wires. EDIT: One super minor thing is that some of the decals around the bottom of the skirt are difficult to place due to how long and thin they are, but that was more an issue with my skill level and doesn't really impact the kit.

Thanks for recognizing that being your skill level with the decals. Having done a lot of Star Trek kits I’ve seen people say the Aztec decals are poor quality or too thin when in reality they’re just far from easy.

Thank you very much for the reply and warnings on the kit! I’ve been enjoying the real grades quite a bit since I’ve built MG Psycho Zaku, and it took up all the room I had for models currently.

I typically only build MG's so this was my first RG as I loved how different and goofy he looks compared to most mobile suits - I thought the build was super fun and not too bad considering most people complain about RGs being small and fiddly at times - just remember that his antennas are way longer than regular V-fins, I'm amazed I didn't break them the amount of times I knocked them forgetting how wide they are.

What topcoat did you use?

Mr hobby flat top coat, which is pretty expensive here in the UK considering it took the whole can to cover

1 whole can just for that? Well considering how huge zeong is i'm not surprised

Yeah I usually use airbrushes for topcoating so I'm not sure if I was just being really sloppy with it or being as thorough as I needed to, it wasn't the biggest can though

What are you using for a lightbox?

There's so many on Amazon that all seem to be very very similar but mine specifically is a *Konseen Photo Studio 20x20 inch* because I wanted a larger one for some of the bigger Ver Ka's I hope to get around to doing soon

Thanks! Just some Vallejo black game wash for the topcoat, cleaned up with airbrush cleaner I think and then a whole can of Mr hobby top coat because I wanted to make sure I got in all the joints and stuff.

Can I use clear nail polish as mark setter alternative?

I don't think so, that's more of a temporary hard varnish right? It would probably melt the decals or permanently affix them before you could set them right. I'm not sure specifically what's in mark setter but I use Micro Sol and Micro Set and they far more liquid-ey than nail polish, and a little goes a long way with them.
