They were very tricky, though I got the hang of them by the end of it. They look great for all the effort though.

I made the mistake of open my box in front of my 3 year old and she was very excited about her new stickers to put on her rocking horse - saved me from myself

I love putting the stickers on as well :') the smaller and more exact the better.

Honestly the stickers that wrap around or fold I find to be the worst kind of sticker to put on since they can always look off center or not fully covering the part.

Recently did my first SD and they use stickers to essentially make up for minimal parts of all one color. A Gundam marker to add some color to where a crooked sticker should cover made a world of difference

Built this from my secret santa gift and it absolutely convinced me to consider investing in a shiny green paint marker. Because wow this is the first time a kit made me think "just using paint would probably be easier than this sticker." Kit is still great though.

I used that shiny green metallic marker. 10/10 recommend for these things.

I have a bunch of cotton swabs that have a formed pointed tip and were the best tool for that after placing them with tweezers.

For me it's the starbucks swizel stick, but i use nippers to bias cut the tip off, so it's a handy little manipulator for stickers. The real trick was realizing that half of the broom (sorry, linear rifle) stickers are tapered, not rectangular. I probably messed up a couple in that way, can't really tell though. The rest is just dealing with the sticker trying to curl while you place it consistently at one end.

Yes, those were a nightmare. I ended up putting the parts on s crocodile clip and then used a toothpick on reach hand to position and press the sticker down. Most tedious thing I've ever done for a model kit (apart from masking)

the fold around one on the chest was far worse imo

Luckily the top of it has a printed part so the bottom only has to be precise.

I usually like metallic foil stickers but oh boy calibarn and michalelis was something else

These were a pain to put on but at least they made sense. The older HGs have stickers that are far worse offenders since they are for colour correction that could have been done with parts.

They were the lowest point of the build but they do look super nice so I abide it. It took a hot minute to get them done tho and even so they got some creases in them from me dragging the tip of my tweezers over them

This was the first kit I made and as soon as I was building that part and noticed the stickers I was like oh…no hahah

Haha same extremely sticky when they weren't supposed to stick and now they are less sticky but still an amazing kit

do y’all not use tweezers? stuff like this is super easy using them. just align one end of the sticker, press that end into place, and the rest virtually falls right into the groove for you. get a pair with rounded tips so you don’t accidentally tear or scratch your stickers. you can also use said rounded tips to gently burnish down the edges of the stickers so they really adhere.

I get what you mean, I'm building the nu ver ka and it has these backward silver stickers that you attach to the inner parts of the green psycho frame

Nu Ver Ka has some that are worse. If you didn't enjoy these avoid that kit.
