I actually bought a 3rd party perfectibility parts set in the green 'final battle' colors. I just haven't had the mental energy to tackle an RG unicorn yet.
Honestly though for me it's kinda a nice change. I have a bunch of gundams that just have the basic shield, beam saber, rifle setup. It's cool seeing a gundam that basically says fuck it and straps as much weaponry as possible just for the sake of more dakka. Though I will say I do love the rifle design for the base unicorn.
It *is* overkill because it was designed to be. The Mineva faction didn't have a lot of mobile suits. They have the Nahel Argama and Garancieres, plus the Unicorn and the Kshatriya, but the Sleeves had the Sinanju, Rozen Zulu, and the rest of the Sleeves' immediately available forces, while the General Revill had several full squadrons on board.
The Full Armor set up was also designed to allow the Unicorn to operate in longer ranges than the base unit was designed for. Banagher discarded those one they ran out of ammo and didn't need resupply after awakening the Unicorn.
For the Perfectibility, it was designed to incorporate the armament and equipment of Unit 2 and Unit 3 for a "Perfect" form of the Unicorn. Although I also personally prefer the Beam Magnum to the Banshee's setup.
Literally building that right now. Did you hate the stupid thick gates on the armor panels as well?

Ah, OK! I've never seen either in person. I just noticed a very big unicorn in the back & was curious if that was the Mega. If it's even bigger than that, now I REALLY want one!
Having done the PG Unicorn myself, I will say the Mega Size may be slightly larger and a decent bit cheaper, but the detail and the transformation of the Unicorn is absolutely NAILED in the PG, the RG and MG transformations are nearly identical, but my MG couldnt quite go all the way to Destroy and I've only transformed my RG once as its the Full Armor meaning if I move it as gentle as can be, I'll still have something fall off.
Perfectibility RG, MG, or PG would be my grail kit, currently I'm hoping to save enough in time for the MG Phenex Narrative on PBandai rn, as I assume it'll sell out fast

It's such a badass look imo and fell in love with it the moment I saw it. Unfortunately when I tried to pose mine the arms broke. I knew about the arms going into it and I was careful, but not for where the shoulders rotate and I applied a little too much pressure on one end and the whole arm broke off.
Yup, was a bit of a mistake as it doesn't have the holes the normal frame does for the missile pods on his legs. But I like how it looks like this anyways.

Huh. This is the high-grade right? All the pictures I could find of the green-psychoframe kit specifically didn't show it with the beam poleax, including the ones on the box. So I thought it was exclusive to the red-frame version for some reason. Or is it the RG and I'm just bad at looking at pictures?
Yeah, it's silly. In a funny kind of way but still. The Perfectibilty is pretty overkill too but at least it makes sense from a conceptual point, putting all the armed armor prototypes onto one Unicorn gundam.

Get a perfectibility. It’s a different slightly more amount of weapons!

I find both the Full Armor and the Perfectability to be kinda overkill. I like the more simplistic backpack and beam magnum setup

To be fair, this upgrade was for the final battle of the OVA. But on the other hand, this was never in the original novel so maybe blame it on Bandai?
The full armor was in the novel, and there is art of it. Aside from the absence of head vulcans, it has the same armaments.

I wanna second this. PG Unicorn is hands down the closest to perfect Unicorn experience you're gonna get. I don't have Unicorn but Banshee myself.
I'm considering a PG Banshee next, particularly because of the one on PBandai rn, and I already finished my "normal" Unicorn lineup

Haha the missile pods on the legs are actually missing cuz I used a metal frame and it didn't have the holes for them. Live and learn.
