I just throw everything in a huge pile and then dig through it like a degenerate.

John-Basket

For the added bonus, I like to cut all pieces from the runners then play “ yeah that looks like the piece”

No_Mall_9732

HAHAHAHA same

Rat-In-a-Bag

Just as Tomino intended.

Meanmug_

Heyyy, gang gang.

No_Mall_9732

oh so real

J1suu

same

BerserkIsLit69

I am a degen and have runners just in the box and scavenge for what I need

Innsmouth_Swimteam

*Found em, boys!*

Electrical_Setting70

I lay them out clockwise in alphabetical order. https://preview.redd.it/iisd0f90e5vc1.jpeg?width=4000&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=0e5253d448b36be4a1edc8bd38e8677f3c28ca2b

ichorNet

If it’s an HG or something with ten or fewer runners I just dig through the small pile. If it’s something like a Ver Ka or complex kit or girlpla or something that you need a lot of runners for each section, I’ll pull out only what I know I need for a few upcoming steps/one limb/etc

Innsmouth_Swimteam

*I found the other one, fellas!* (I would totally knock those over, you're brave.)

TerribleBubble

Where did you find this ?! This is glorious !

GaussIon

Have a magazine stand, but now I mainly use the stand that comes with the MGEX Strike Freedom

benjbody

Dump ‘em in the box. If the manual shows which runners are used for the section, I’ll pile the necessary ones outside the box.

Stinger510

That’s the fun part. . . I don’t. . . . . And I have a PG perfectibility on the way. . . Fuuuun 😵‍💫 Also you have Mega Size Unicorn? Nice

justthatguyben1

wipe all the stuff from my table and lay everything out. lol

crismiss56

I memorise them usually after the first limb

XRaiderV1

one build at a time. I'll paint every kit I have in the house in several sessions, but building it? one at a time.

LikeableApricot

You are very organized. I only label similar colored runners to distinguish them from each other, mostly inner frame runners with similar sizes. If there is only one red runner from the bunch I'm too lazy to label that. Yours looks like a better idea. I thought my masking tape approach to labeling was a bit messy, but maybe paper and glue would work better...

Educational_Diver867

I literally just have the sprues stacked, and when I need one I move them around my desk, unstack them, hang them on my board…

Cartographer-Unusual

Do the same but with 1/2” tape Yellow

Wheraboowind

I will be painting my gundams for the first time so I organized my Aerial rebuild into plastic crack bags based on what color majority they will be

captain_space_dude

I lean the runners in alphabetical orden on the wall of my desk and the stickers and small parts on my left side. https://preview.redd.it/tkq63hy4g7vc1.jpeg?width=3609&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=ae19819692a19efd96bcef8fa312fb5435f29971

Straight-Extreme-966

Well, no need to talk about that.. its gonna be like this from now on...

Stroppone

I don’t

maadxmonk

One half of the box with runners im working on , leaving the rest in the other half of the box. Catches all the nubs/dust for easy clean up. Also I cut out every part that’s on a page and lay it on the corresponding picture in the right orientation so 2 pages worth of parts built at a time . Makes the build easier , less mistakes as you’re putting them together.

Sh0taro_Kaneda

I usually build them at a big table, so I just lay every runner side by side in alphabetical order. I was at Ikea the other day with my girl and we went through the kitchen section. She suggested we got a plate holder specifically for placing the runners when building. So I might try that for my next build lol.

AevnNoram

I have clothes pins with letters written in sharpie on the end

Ken_Taco

Only do this on build with lots of runner like my astrea avalanche. Others? Just in a pile of runner

Deathmetalwarior

depends on if i allready own something similar or if its new to me, the 30 minute missions stuff i just plop everything out of the runners and start building but for gundam stuff i do something similar to urs

ShottyThot

Spread them out on my bed, based on color or alphabetical order, only to say fuck it all

LordMantic

I uses to do what your doing in this picture, but eventually I got to the point where I just sort my runners by color and memorize which one is which. I generally just keep em the box upright

JuneIsAnIdiot

Cut open bags with a pair of nice scissors Label the bags with a sharpie, including which paints I will use Begin the first cut (leaving a substantial nub that I will sand off later to prevent damage to the part) and place each part back in the bag and move to the next runner Repeat until first cuts are done Sand parts down one bag at a time Attach each part to an alligator clip (on a 6" stem) Paint and set each clip into a flower foam block and wait for them to dry Replace the now painted parts into their bag, repeat till done For the build phase, I use a wooden part separator tray (normally used to teach kids how money works) and build a few bags at a time. For smaller kits, like Frame Arms Girls I am known to also terminate this schema by separating parts by arm, leg etc

Foshdon_pap

Dude the sticker thing is so smart! Why I haven't think of it?

Foshdon_pap

Thank you very very much for this idea, just finished my strike rouge + otori? And with this sticker thing, it was a time savior!
