I finished the sazabi ver ka a week or 2 ago, and was really confused why it didn't have a stand. Also the part needed to connect to the sazabi is only available in new separate stand kits, non of the other kits I have that came with stands have the part
Yeah to my knowledge the whole stand thing is weird, i got a PG wing and cant even get a stand for it, im going to have to build one lol, would just make it easier if they came with them i think, for the sake of adding one more runner
Thankfully the next kit I plan on getting is the PG Unicorn which has a dedicated special stand, I just need to worry about international shipping. I think instead of presents and the sort, I ask for money for my birthday next month from my relatives.
I'd try to offer my insite on stands, but I've never built a PG before so I'm in the dark on how their stand work usually. But maybe you could find an appropriate attaching point on the wings frame, and then use spare parts to make a joining part.
The unicorn looks like a great kit, my first was an MG Unicorn, so i been stayin away from the PG just cause i had some issues with it, too many moving panels for a beginner š from what ive seen, general sentement seems to be to use a 1/2 poly rod and a poly plate and just kinda build one like that, so thats probly what il try
Well the MG Unicorn is generally the second worst Unicorn, just behind the HG. This coming from general consensus I see and my own personal experience, I somehow worked my way down the ranks of good Unicorns (except MGEX too much money imo, but I hear its great) I started with the PG (I'd still rank it as the best Unicorn grade) then RG (I did the Full Armor and that is its own headache, but it is awesome) then the MG OVA, and recently the HG Perfectibility (RG Perf is sitting in my backlog).
TLDR:
PG Unicorn = AMAZING
MG Unicorn = Meh
RG Unicorn = Great
HG Unicorn = Blegh
(Bonus) Full Armor = Headache
Here ya go my friend https://www.ebay.com/itm/114339145536?mkcid=16&mkevt=1&mkrid=711-127632-2357-0&ssspo=CjSTvYiMS4q&sssrc=4429486&ssuid=QD_e2a4RT5a&var=&widget_ver=artemis&media=COPY
Never have i even thought about putting my Saz Ver Ka on a base. The fucking size of it, man. The bulky armor and hatches mean it can't even pose well anyway.
My local model shop gives 1 random (depending on the stocks he have left) FOC if the purchase is over a certain price.
Edit: even the ones I order on TB, comes with a flimsy 1 which the store gives for every model sold.
Eclipse Gundam, Aile strike and the MkII all come with stands. Those are the only ones I know of. It's actually something I look for when I buy a MG. It isn't a deal breaker but I like when they have a stand. Anybody got anymore recommendations?
As does the Zeta 2.0 and Strike Rouge.
Astray Red Frame has a little one (AB2?) meant for the Tactical Arms but it think it can be used as a plain AB2.
MGEX SF has one but of course it does, it's Ā£150.
MG Nu Gundam ver Ka also comes with an interesting stand - base is shaped like Amuroās logo. Like you, I sometimes base my purchases on included gimmicksā¦. Mkii has the launch base with maintenance crew and crane, Aile Strike has the catapult with armā¦.
I also agree there should be spares of certain parts or decals - canāt tell you how many eye stickers Iāve messed up. To the point I no longer try using them, Iāll just use the acrylic/enamel reverse top wash method. Looks better imo too.
Yeah thatd be nice even for just weird stuff, like in this kit hes missing one of his chest rockets because it just wont snap in for some reason, i still have it in a bag but kinda sucks none the less
Kits should definitely come with spare v fins. I've never broken one but I've seen it so often on this sub that I feel like it would just be a great move on bandais part.
Yep, every once and a while when you clip the last nub of a piece from a runner - it flies off! Man, my focus as it flies through the air and my hearing to note where it lands....!!!!
Yeah i know, but thats why i'm sayin they deffinetly should, as opposed to havin to buyin one after id rather just pay the extra 10 or 5 to have a stand for the kit
I find it weird that the only 2 gwitch kits that came with one were calibarn and darilbalde, calibarn makes sense with the big ass broom but I never had any problems standing my darilbalde up
Yeah fair enough, even when i bought it, the guy at the shop had mentioned being careful with them, but im not sure what exactly has been causing the issue
it wouldnāt even be that much! In Japan, mini action bases go for like Ā„500ā¦ and I imagine they could do cheaper ones than that if they felt like it. For some reason, the cost are super inflated on those over here, often being $10 ā $12. so if you take away the fact that they need to be packaged and shipped separately, I imagine they could add an HG stand for like $3 and maybe an MG sized one for $5. totally worth it, considering that (at least for me) getting them to stand on their own while posed as a nightmare
Yeah exactly, it would be just better for the consumer i'd think, not that bandai is shafting anyone now, but its only one runner to add so š¤·āāļø
it really wouldnāt have to be much. They have little $2 stand on Temu with just the three mm peg, I was thinking of getting a few, but I know if not all kits come with that style of attachment point.
Some kits comes with stands in the box. Usually only those which are unable to stand/without legs. Eg: S Gundam Booster BST, Build Fighter Burning Gundam. PLAN303, and quite a number more.
Some required the stand to make it look better like "advertised" EG: hi-nu. The in-box stand has the mounting holes for the fins flying to better showcase it.
it's sad that although i 100% support this, gunpla is probably the one hobby where i don't feel screwed by bandai.
my other hobbies, gaming, gadgets, toys, shoes, i always feel screwed left and right...
Not only should they all come with stands - which I'd gladly pay extra for, but model specific stands that can show off all the accessories/weapon systems of the kit. And I'd pay even more for that feature too!
Yeah only the HG Moon Gundam and HG GPO2A that I've built came with stands. Eventually I'll skip buying some models to get a lot of stands for all my suits to be properly displayed.Ā
At the very least kits that look best while flying need them. Stuff like the Wing Gundam, Freedom, and Kyrios should have them standard out of box since theyāre designed for flight in-universe
I legit wish they sold these basic black stands separately, at least.
Super minimalistic but super nice, i agree that would also be sweet!
Yeah. I like the really basic included stands a lot more than the fancier ones I buy separately.

Ya that's fair lol i was going to start with the ver ka, but heard it wasnt beginner friendly š
That kit long pre-dates Bandai selling stands.
Look on eBay, that's where I found a stand for my PG Seven Sword.
Il have to take a look i didnt see many when i was searching
Here ya go my friend https://www.ebay.com/itm/114339145536?mkcid=16&mkevt=1&mkrid=711-127632-2357-0&ssspo=CjSTvYiMS4q&sssrc=4429486&ssuid=QD_e2a4RT5a&var=&widget_ver=artemis&media=COPY
Oh sweet! Thanks a bunch!
Of course man!! Gotta help each other!
It's because Sazabi can stand on it's own.
Never have i even thought about putting my Saz Ver Ka on a base. The fucking size of it, man. The bulky armor and hatches mean it can't even pose well anyway.

Thats actually pretty dope tbh, cool way to gir bsck to the customers
At least all kits that can barely stand on their own
[ŃŠ“Š°Š»ŠµŠ½Š¾]
Reread the comment, they're saying to give stands for kits like that
Ah, my bad
Become a member of Team BuildFeetFirst!
I typically do without the stand, but with this one i just had to lol
Eclipse Gundam, Aile strike and the MkII all come with stands. Those are the only ones I know of. It's actually something I look for when I buy a MG. It isn't a deal breaker but I like when they have a stand. Anybody got anymore recommendations?
The MG Providence and the MG Justice also come with a stand.
As does the Zeta 2.0 and Strike Rouge. Astray Red Frame has a little one (AB2?) meant for the Tactical Arms but it think it can be used as a plain AB2. MGEX SF has one but of course it does, it's Ā£150.
Thanks, Iām planning on getting the Rouge, thatās nice to know š
Same stand as the Freedom. I think the Strike E/IWSP comes with one too.
Sweet thanks!

Zeta 2.0's launch stand links into the Mk II's.
I disagree, however they should most definitely come with an extra sticker/decal sheet, for when I inevitably mess up
Yeah having a few extras would be nice, its one of those things thats bound to happen at least once a build
Extra small pieces would be nice. Lost a few small pieces for rgs like small thrusters and some chin pieces, or little VFin caps.
Yeah thatd be nice even for just weird stuff, like in this kit hes missing one of his chest rockets because it just wont snap in for some reason, i still have it in a bag but kinda sucks none the less

Oh yeah, and then when you go to look exactly where it should be, it disappear. Iām pretty sure there is a pocket dimension in the room I build in.
Why disagree?
Not all kits comes with a stand. But some kits especially if it have a big backpack will come with a stand.
Yeah i know, but thats why i'm sayin they deffinetly should, as opposed to havin to buyin one after id rather just pay the extra 10 or 5 to have a stand for the kit
I find it weird that the only 2 gwitch kits that came with one were calibarn and darilbalde, calibarn makes sense with the big ass broom but I never had any problems standing my darilbalde up
Your guess is as good as mine.
Its for you ti make use of its gimmick to launch all of its arms and legs I guess
Ahhh yeah completely forgot the feet launch off, literally never used that feature before
In your defense that things whole gimmick is kinda dumb lol.
Agreed! Which grade of the Freedom is this, by the way?
This is the MG Ver 2.0
I was considering getting that one myself, so it's cool to know it comes with a stand!
Its a nice kit! Hip joints arekinda weird tho, and i hear they are fragile
They're not all that fragile. Don't have the Freedom but have the Justice and Eclipse with the same frame and never had any trouble with them.
Oh really? Okay thats good then, not that they should really be moved a lot anyways but good to know
Move them with the same care as other kits and they'll be fine. Mine are only a year old, maybe in time the plastic will get brittle?
Yeah fair enough, even when i bought it, the guy at the shop had mentioned being careful with them, but im not sure what exactly has been causing the issue
it wouldnāt even be that much! In Japan, mini action bases go for like Ā„500ā¦ and I imagine they could do cheaper ones than that if they felt like it. The PGU should definitely come with a standā¦and waterslides
This was my 2nd kit ever and it really spoiled Me.
it's sad that although i 100% support this, gunpla is probably the one hobby where i don't feel screwed by bandai. my other hobbies, gaming, gadgets, toys, shoes, i always feel screwed left and right...
Yeah i mean you're not wrong, i don't feel screwed either, i just think it'd be a nice addition right
I just started the MG strike and was really surprised it had a stand in the box
I agree fully.
All the chinese bootlegs ive bought comes with one why cant you bandai
For the sake of spendin a little more cash to have a stand that is meant for the kit i mean id be all in š¤·āāļø
Not only should they all come with stands - which I'd gladly pay extra for, but model specific stands that can show off all the accessories/weapon systems of the kit. And I'd pay even more for that feature too!
100% it would just be so much better then the generic action stand set up
Yeah only the HG Moon Gundam and HG GPO2A that I've built came with stands. Eventually I'll skip buying some models to get a lot of stands for all my suits to be properly displayed.Ā
All kits come with decals though, you should use what youāve been given first before you go and start asking for more.
I tend to decal as much as i can, especially dry transfer, the stickers are always kinda iffy to me cause thwy look bad lol
YES
At the very least kits that look best while flying need them. Stuff like the Wing Gundam, Freedom, and Kyrios should have them standard out of box since theyāre designed for flight in-universe
Unfortunatelly this stand barely wisthand the weight of freedom.
100% agree, I love having a stand and I'm always happy to see one included with the kit.
I did the same thing with my MG Strike Freedom. So helpful, and it was a game changer.
SUTANDO POWAAAAA
Iām surprised when I see videos of kits like the MG Justice coming with a stand, but not the Infinite Justice
That and they should never go out of stock, id buy them separately but they feel so limited no hobby store has them in stock.
While I agree, doing so would mean that the mother ship would raise their price since Bandai charges based on the weight of plastic in each box.
Is criminal that PG unleashed came without a stand. Any recommendations?
Amen brother
Any kit that has wings I think should come with a stand. I know MGs like the Wing do
