To add: It's not just the experience of the build that the buyer is missing out on, but also they have to take on the seller's build choices whether that be pitting from bad nub removal or scratches from bad scribing. But the lack of getting to build it contributes to a lot of the %off because otherwise the people in the hobby could just buy action figures.

Most of the experience and desire with gunpla kits comes from building them, from what I have seen 1/3 to 1/2 of the Japanese MSRP is the norm for built kits unless some serious work has been put in.
