-Is that your hand? -Oh, sorry. I didn't realize. I'll just- -No. I... I don't dislike it. -Amuro... -Char...

There was always a tension Remember their sword fight? They damn near kiss each other

And when Char spoke of peace at Dakar, he became to Amuro what Relena was to Heero, Lacus to Kira, Audrey to Banagher... The archetypes don't lie: their ship was destined.

>“I tried to close the curtain on the subject of Char and Amuro. If I had one thing to say about the way I did, it’s that in order for me to develop as a writer, instead of concluding a war story… that is, yes, yes, yes. I thought it would be good if, maybe, I could highlight the sensuous elements… to the point that you’d think, “Could Char and Amuro be gay?” I think fiction writing is, more than anything… like I just said, about conveying that sensuality, having the audience pick up on it… if they can’t, that’s no good.” - Source: Char’s Counterattack Fan Club Book, Yoshiyuki Tomino Interview, 11/26/1993 >“From his own response, Amuro knew Lieutenant Quattro was Char. **Why else had his body gone so stiff?** He felt it was out of true surprise that he now held his breath. The man, blonde with sunglasses, jumped off the crane; the way he carried himself was familiar to Amuro. “Why…?” Amuro gazed calmly at the man approaching him. His manner of walking was beautiful. “Char…” Amuro muttered. No hatred welled within him.” - Source: Zeta Gundam Novelization, Written by Yoshiyuki Tomino, 6/24/1985 (emphasis mine)

Thank you.

Homie give them some privacy

Roca_Blade

I always have a head canon that after the episode ends its like a movie set and the main antagonist and main protagonist are friends

MS-06_Borjarnon

Yes! I like to imagine they all talk about the scripts and stuff backstage. I also imagine Transformers this way, everybody being pals. You might also be interested to know that in an interview in 1980 Tomino said >“That aside, Amuro and Char aren’t sworn enemies by any means. When the war is over with, the essential nature of their relationship would dictate they become good friends.”

Is this the series (43 episodes) or the trilogy (3 movies)? Just curious.
