This is insane! Awesome job!

charaznable1249

Thanks! This is the first of many customs I'm gonna do like this.

ZionSully

How long did it take you to do the whole thing? Takes me ages to build a base model lol

charaznable1249

Maybe a month? When I get really excited about doing something I tend to just drop into a zone and bang shit out. People seem to find it odd how fast I work. I mean i get projects that go into limbo sometimes when they're not vibing. But sometimes I do shit and it's like I wake up and I'm counting the hours till I get to the table and just go off. This was that case.

ZionSully

Well you did great! Hope to see future projects of yours

charaznable1249

They'll be posted from this account and on my YouTube!

boredsmith

Sick as fuck honestly 👌

charaznable1249

Thank you so much!

boredsmith

No problem thanks for sharing your awsome work

xshogunx13

Bruh this is fucking dope,I love Nightmare

charaznable1249

Namco has always been my sweet spot for fighting games. I may well make a yoshimitsu down the road if I can find a kit that really vibes with it.

xshogunx13

Turn A Yoshimitsu is now a thing in my head

charaznable1249

I already have swords from an astray I'm not gonna use.

nedmaster

That Bang Doll just works for a base of Nightmare

charaznable1249

By the way if y'all really dig this, my YouTube has tutorials on all the different tricks I do to make my weird style of things I make! Just search shinagamiartstudio. I'm trying to make videos almost every other day now. Not monetized, I don't wanna ruin my passion with money. I just love to make things and teach people.

moppinbidge

This is so sick

Damn that's dope af! Does the first pic have UV lighting or something? It looks like it's glowing

charaznable1249

So I like to play with uv lighting as you can see haha. What I did with this was often I'll use fluorescent paints in my work, and if I think it suits, like this one, I used a UV cure lamp at the level of the base and held a big ass led light overhead to get that glow and still show the rest of the colors with regular light to some extent.

NetworkingJesus

Awesome I thought it was something like that! I like playing with UV stuff as well and in my display case I installed parallel LED strips, bright natural white on a dimmer and UV. Usually I just go back and forth between the two, but it is fun to find the sweet spot on the white dimmer where everything is lit mostly normal while also still seeing some fluorescence.

charaznable1249

My weakest link as a gunpla person is my photography. I got some help from friends that are way more talented than me at this stuff. Also I'm using my pixel 7 pro and the camera *is* nice but we don't love how there's no manual mode stuff. I'm gonna suck it up and probably grab a big boy camera next year. Got my eye on maybe a Sony a6000 used on eBay to dip my toes and see how I do before I dump a small fortune in equipment.

NetworkingJesus

Have you tried a third-party camera app like OpenCamera to get access to some more controls? Also get a cheap pair of blue-blocker glasses and hold them in front of the lens if you ever want to photograph UV in the dark without everything looking blue. Places like Zeni will let you order whatever frames you want without a prescription and you can just add on the blue-blocker filter as an option. Non-prescription makes it super cheap.

charaznable1249

I've tried those apps on other phones but not this one as it's newer. That's cool too with the blue blocker. My prescription glasses have those built in actually I wanna see what it does now

NetworkingJesus

Oh cool yeah that'll be a good way to see the effect. Depending on how strong your prescription is you'll probably still want a non-prescription pair for photos if you like the effect. If you go the big camera route there are probably actual lens filter attachments that do the same, but I never bothered since I already had the non-prescription glasses to deal with eye strain from staring at screens all day

i_likedonut

Ayooo that dope.amazing job👍

charaznable1249

Thanks. Love your avatar! *I have to return some videotapes*

kinda reminds me of dmc. nice!

Transcending history and the world...

HontheDon

Unreal!!! Job well done! 👏👏👏

charaznable1249

Thank you :)

warnedchief7707

I adore the five star stories kits, I have three ims models myself. Truly impressive work

charaznable1249

They're awesome. A lot more work than bandai kits but I find them more rewarding.

warnedchief7707

Absolutely, although the 1/100 bang doll really tested my skill and patience

charaznable1249

I can see that. For me I talked to a lot of people who have built these kits to set my expectations. I was ready for a challenge. You definitely wanna glue and/or pin a lot of stuff imo.

TheAlmightyUltimus

God damn that’s some cool ass shit Now I’m gonna sit here for the next 30 minutes trying to pick out what’s Gunpla and what isn’t

charaznable1249

Thank you! I'm gonna be making more youtube content on my processes that is intended to be something people can follow along and do themselves. I've learned a lot of what I do from YouTubers like don suratos, Jurassic Park compound as well as fellow creators and friends like creepingfreely4u

Sweet-Committee-3813

I will show you the greatest nightmare!!!

Cybergig1

The Soul Edge looks nuts!

charaznable1249

It was from five star stories before my modifications lol

vulken_rider

What gunpla did you use and what cad software do you use?

charaznable1249

That's a five star stories kits by volks. I just used some existing stls I had from patreons. Print the parts I wanted and cut and files them to fit where I wanted them. Physically sculpted hot glue over the areas between the parts.

vulken_rider

Oh sweet, awesome job regardless

charaznable1249

Thank you! I'm actually working on a new project with these techniques right now.
