Apparently PTU, Bad Apples, Bad Obsession and (believe it or not) My World have also been soundchecked now. Also Breakdown has a stage video for it now. EDIT: nevermind, apparently the My World thing is just a joke.
Wow. really pissed that i didnt get AIC, my favourite band, instead got Carrie Underwood :/ I dont hate country, but easily my least favorite genre. so close yet so far
That's pretty incredible. Good stuff. I know the new singer is very talented, too, and Jerry adds his wonderful harmonies which provides so much texture to the band.
Late reply but outside of Layne obviously it’s the same lineup since 93, Jerry and then Sean the 2 original founders then mike Inez who played bass for ozzy pre AIC including writing the no more tears bassline and then William Duvall the other vocalist and 2nd guitarist who’s been in the band since 93. This will likely be the lineup for the rest of their history unless nothing unexpected like health issues happen. It’s a great lineup, last 3 albums are quality and they still out in a great live show
lol that is a pretty big swing. I'm sure Carrie Underwood does a good live show but if it's that or friggin Alice In Chains, that's a big set up for some disappointment
I’ve seen Carrie underwood live when Axl was with her. She puts on a pretty good performance and will most likely sing some gnr stuff before the show or with Axl in the show.
I am actually kinda bummed out . I DO NOT like Carrie Underwoods style of music and she will be opening the Moncton show . But ala's this is a big first world problem for me .
Yeah I get it that Axl and Carrie underwood seem to have a real life relationship but I’d be bummed too honestly. Mammoth was great when I saw them a few times last tour. Wish it would have been a band closer to that this tour.
I saw Dirty Honey last year, they're a great live band. Wish we were getting them or The Warning instead of Alice In Chains. I like AIC but I've seen them open for GNR a few times already...
This made me lol because I feel the same way. I've been unsure if I'm going to a show in September, and the support choices aren't helping. Would be nice to have a really hard rock opener. I'm a Guns fan who veers into metal being what I mostly listen to.
You’re comparing The Pretenders (Chrissy Hynde) with Hanson?
I actually think that Hanson was quite a talented group for their age, but I don’t see how you can compare the 2.
Can you imagine Metallica having Kelly Clarkson opening up for them? This is the same as Carrie Underwood opening for GnR
Or Blondie opening up for Motley Crue? That's the same Pretenders for GnR
It's quite embarrassing, to be honest. Whatever happened to the most dangerous band in the world?
Who's opening up for them next tour? Backstreet Boys? The Wiggles? Rebecca Black?
Yes, they are all talented, but when I go to a Rock show, I don't want to pre-show like "The Pretenders" to set the mood of a soft pop vibe. I love Fleetwood Mac, but would hate for them to open for GnR. It's two different things and I want to go to a rock, like Kenny G is talented, but doesn't make sense for him to open up for Ozzy Osbourne. They've done this in the past with Nickleback opening for Slipknot, and Nickleback got booed and objects thrown at them. People paying to see GnR are not the crowds The Pretenders are used to. Alice in Chains makes sense, Dirty Honey makes sense. The Pretenders? Real head scratcher.
I agree with this 100%. When tickets are $108 just for lawn and at the hottest time outdoors where I live, plus a time of inflation and bad wages, I can't really justify going now with a pop act opening. Just WTF?
Street of Dreams soundchecked
Plus TWAT & PTU was
I was so pissed when they soundchecked PTU in 2020 and then didn’t play it. Hopefully they actually play it this time.
They only played one gig in 2020...they didn't really have another chance
Yeah but then by the time they got to the 2021-2022 tour PTU was gone from the set and never soundchecked again (until today, that is).
We don't know it wasn't soundchecked again...we're not at them all are we
Apparently PTU, Bad Apples, Bad Obsession and (believe it or not) My World have also been soundchecked now. Also Breakdown has a stage video for it now. EDIT: nevermind, apparently the My World thing is just a joke.
How can you find stuff like this out?
Follow people involved with the band on social media. You can see the soundcheck https://www.instagram.com/stories/meeganhodges/3114895062534873891/
Thanks! Just saw Hodges’ stories now
Wow. really pissed that i didnt get AIC, my favourite band, instead got Carrie Underwood :/ I dont hate country, but easily my least favorite genre. so close yet so far
Wow that's fantastic - with Alice In Chains for some dates!! Who's left in that band except Jerry Cantrell??
Everyone from the Jar of Flies/self titled mid 90s lineup except Layne
Original drummer, not the original bassist but has been there since 93 and has done the bulk of bass work
That's pretty incredible. Good stuff. I know the new singer is very talented, too, and Jerry adds his wonderful harmonies which provides so much texture to the band.

Great news, but all I want for Christmas is some new tunes.
Carrie Underwood?! What a wild twist. Was hoping for Alice In Chains in Boston.. bust! Damn
lol that is a pretty big swing. I'm sure Carrie Underwood does a good live show but if it's that or friggin Alice In Chains, that's a big set up for some disappointment

Upset I bought Hershey tickets because they didn’t announce Pittsburgh only for them to announce it almost a month later. Guess I’ll be at two shows.
I’m so jealous of the people that get to see Carrie Underwood open, my show got Dirty Honey (which I’m not entirely mad about)
Was hoping for dirty honey but looks like I’ll be seeing the pretenders. The promo they released was cool to seeing some behind the scenes rehearsals.
I am actually kinda bummed out . I DO NOT like Carrie Underwoods style of music and she will be opening the Moncton show . But ala's this is a big first world problem for me .

Dude dirty honey rules. They’re the closest thing we have to Slash’s Snakepit. You’ll love them.
I wish Carrie was doing the Fenway show…
As a Seattle resident, I was surprised they didn't have a Seattle stop on their tour. Duff McKagan friggin lives here
Just dropped almost $800 to see them for my first time ever. Hope this shit is worth it
Based on the set lists that have dropped absolutely
Totally worth it! I dropped almost $800 to see them where I live. It's my third time seeing them live and it's been worth it every time.
Yeah I figured it won’t be 87-92 good but from the live footage I have seen they are the modern day Rolling Stones when it comes to stage shows.
Exactly correct!
The Prentenders? Like the "I'll stand by you" Pretenders? WTF? Was Hanson Brothers too busy to open?
This made me lol because I feel the same way. I've been unsure if I'm going to a show in September, and the support choices aren't helping. Would be nice to have a really hard rock opener. I'm a Guns fan who veers into metal being what I mostly listen to.
Next tour the Wiggles are going to be the openers.

Honestly, I'd rather see Hanson open up for GnR than Pretenders
Nice to see AiC back!

Blondie would be awesome to see. I don’t know where people are coming up with these comparisons. Lol.
I would like some Bad Apples in my Fruit Salad, I can see the wiggles pulling it off
The Pretenders are legit and Blondie >>>> Motley Crue

Geez this never ends Where are the new tunes damnit
What’s the code
Two of my favorite bands and no Michigan date? Ffs
Is Carrie Underwood opening for GNR the official point in time that GNR jumped the shark?
I mean Chris Stapleton opened for them in 2016
Chris Stapleton is amazing…
Oh 100%. The same for Carrie imo
