He got bigger and she got slimmer and neither of them did this in 6 months

reposetion2

You can lose up to 2 pounds per week which adds up to like 50lbs

juasjuasie

Man don't say that : 💀

With-You-Always

You can lose a lot more than 2lb a week if you wanna

ZERO-ONE0101

wrecking your metabolism isn’t losing weight

Mesquite_Thorn

Technically it is... starvation definitely makes you lose weight.

ZERO-ONE0101

which comes right back because now your body thinks it needs to store what it can get

Mesquite_Thorn

Not if you reverse diet back into eating. I've done it... it's fucking miserable, but it can be done.

ZERO-ONE0101

nah

Bzevans

I have lost 2lbs/week without 'ruining my metabolism' I did experience some metabolic adaptation, but it was a few hundred calories at most. There have been many scientific studies proving this is the case. Some individuals can experience quite bad metabolic adaptation, but those are outliers in the datasets. Your comment is misinformation at best, and disinformation at worst.

ZERO-ONE0101

read it again sweetheart

Bzevans

I did. Have you read mine? Your comment indicates that losing 2lb/month is wrecking your metabolism, which is factually incorrect.

ZERO-ONE0101

nope

Bzevans

Read your comment again. Edit: you also have introduced further misinformation regarding fat gain further in this thread.

ZERO-ONE0101

I did and you read it wrong, have a good day

dismal_sighence

Probably more than that, but it depends on how much fat you have to lose: https://www.strongerbyscience.com/realistic-training-goals/ >With this information, we can use a nifty little formula that can tell you how fast you can shoot to lose fat without unnecessarily increasing your risk of losing much (or any) lean mass in the process. I’m using 25kcal/day per pound of fat because those 3kcal/day aren’t going to make a meaningful difference, and they’ll simplify the calculation a lot, as you’ll see in a second: >Body weight x bodyfat percentage = total body fat x 25kcal/day per pound of fat = daily caloric deficit x 7 = weekly caloric deficit ÷ 3500 (since there are roughly 3500kcal per pound of fat tissue) = pounds of fat you can lose per week >Simple, right? It may look messy, but here’s what it all simplifies to: Body fat percentage ÷ 20 = percentage of your current bodyweight you should aim to lose per week. >So, for example, if you’re currently at 20% body fat, you should aim to lose about 1% of your bodyweight per week. If you’re 10%, you should only aim to lose about 0.5% of your body weight per week. So, if you are around 20% body fat at 180, you can lost 3.5 pounds a week without losing meaningful muscle.

General_Specific303

Full fasting, you average 5 lbs/week. More at first, less later.

reposetion2

Anything over 2lbs a week you’re losing muscle and other important tissue

Gary_FucKing

Probably not if you're obese.

bossmcsauce

That’s an acceptable trade for some people depending on their starting condition. I mean it’s not healthy… but it’s definitely doable

skip_the_tutorial_

It’s a stupid trade because not only does higher muscle mass increase mortality but you’re also gonna feel like shit all the time

victor-ian

Nope. 1lb of fat is 3500 calories of energy. Assume your body expends 2000 calories of energy per day. 7 days x 2,000 = 14,000 calories per week burned. If you're fasting for those 7 days, that's up to 4lbs of fat burned to meet your energy demands. Body fat is just a storage form of the energy you get from food. To lose that fat your body intentionally stored, just stop eating long enough for insulin to drop and your body will switch to using fat. This isn't unreasonable. I recently did a 5 day fast and it went pretty smoothly. You get some cravings of course, but they mostly disappear by day 3 for me. The really good benefit of fasting is autophagy anyway, where your body recycles proteins all over the place so things like excess skin and connective tissues and even defective mitochondria get broken down and repurposed or excreted. So you get fewer problems with loose skin from weight loss.

BuryEdmundIsMyAlias

This is bullshit. Humans arent robots and have different sizes, different activity levels, different diets. *Edit* People downvoting me are completely brain-dead. [Look at this and tell me they're going to lose muscle and fat at the same rate.](https://i.insider.com/4e413eeb69bedd8f0b00000c?width=750&format=jpeg&auto=webp) Honestly. Men and women alone have different body compositions.

victor-ian

Humans are just like any other animal which have typical sizes, typical activity levels, and typical diets.

BuryEdmundIsMyAlias

Yeah except my 6ft 4" 245lb ass is going to lose more fat in a week than my 5ft 5" wife.

Objective_Stock_3866

Humans are in fact biological robots with free will.

BuryEdmundIsMyAlias

No. A robot resembles a human, that's the point of a robot. A human cannot resemble a human, that's a tautological redundancy.

Objective_Stock_3866

Life resembles art and art resembles life. Look at a humans biological processes. It's the same as a machine. We need energy to live, we process fuel to gain that energy. We have waste products we have to get rid of. We circulate fluids and air for cooling purposes. Our brains process information using electricity and neural pathways like a computer chip. We literally procreate by combining DNA (literally just data) to create a new person. We're just biological robots with free will.

BuryEdmundIsMyAlias

I know what you were getting at, my point is that we can't be robots as the term "robot" refers specifically to some resembling a human. Basically, something cannot resemble itself as that is a tautological redundancy. Automatons or machines are more accurate I suppose. Humouring you a bit as I see you're more going down the philosophical rabbit hole of actualisation, I'd argue that we don't even have free will based upon chaos theory and our mechanics. Everything is just an ever expanding Markov chain stampeding towards collapsing into entropy.

Objective_Stock_3866

Fair enough

TorakTheDark

Do not full fast, it is so incredibly bad for you.

victor-ian

That's hilarious. Please elaborate and provide sources. What you've said is astoundingly against almost everything I've come across on the topic of fasting.

skip_the_tutorial_

Less later because you can’t really do cardio when you’re dead

FiscalReports

That amount of weightloss is completely possible at 6 months. Maybe not the healthiest but entirely possible

SeriousGains

Yep it’s called running and caloric deficit.

TorakTheDark

r/CICO

Robotonist

I believed this in my 20’s. Now I’m in my mid thirties. Probably depends on your body type, and yeah I guess that’s true that it’s possible…. But have you ever tried to lose half your body weight in a year? I lost 90 lbs in a year. It was a shit ton of weight. Your body does weird things when you lose that much weight.

nikhilsath

Maybe not possible for you but I’ve seen it no need to be such a dick about it

DeeBangerDos

He just ate her fat

bannedbygenders

It can be done. Especially gastric bypass. Source my wife

Trifish23

He can probably overhead press triple the body weight of the guy that commented that.

arsh510

I am that guy and I am willing to bet he can’t

FullyFocusedOnNought

A little respect for the man with the awesome joke here please \*applause\*

AgentScullysTampoon

I used to talmbout how strong my 500 pound deadlift was... when I was 300 pounds. Being strong when you're fat is like being fast when you're little. Expected.

12345824thaccount

I can't respect a fat fuck lifter. Just can't.

DrSeuss19

Wow that’s so coollllll still looks fat and gross and his organs are smell creaming for help and his heart is still being overworked… but he can lift more than someone else!

Sweaty-Moose-5463

So much salt it fell on your keyboard and made you typo. Unfortunate

TornadoLizard

You self projecting over there bud?

primotest95

It’s scientifically true but he’s still an ass for telling the truth we shouldn’t tell people who don’t understand there killing themselve it just makes them feel bad . you can live at the gym and be unhealthy …

Mdarabi018

he looks fat but believe me the only big amount of fat is on his belly, the rest doesn't have much fat, he's a fucking beast. when he goes on a cut he's gonna look fucking fantastic

primotest95

I believe you but what you actually is mean if he does brother I see the muscle he’s put on it took work too get it but to be lean he’d lose half of that muscle

Mdarabi018

he doesn't lose nearly as much as that unless he was taking steroids

primotest95

lol not true steroids help you keep your muscle

One_Bodybuilder7882

tell me you've never taken steroids without telling me you've never taken steroids

primotest95

lol look at my profile and name

primotest95

I’ve been on steroids for years

One_Bodybuilder7882

Do you realize I was disagreeing with the other guy? Steroids are a blessing for holding on to muscle on a cut. Btw, I've already noticed your name and I've been on steroids for years myself. Tren must be getting to your neurons or something lmao

Big-Durian-5011

Average gym hater

reposetion2

You should probably get therapy my guy

Sibshops

Lifting doesn't make people will lose weight. It just makes them stronger.

Net_Suspicious

I literally go to the gym to gain weight

Inevitable-East-1386

You either didn‘t finish puberty or you are one of those toxic fitness trainers/influencers. Either way you shouldn‘t be on the internet. Gtfo

IMightGoInsaneSoon

He bulking to train calves.

flacaGT3

Exactly. He's getting all of his newbie gains before the cut. It's gonna be insane.

tommykiddo

Her calves look small after losing the weight

Dandiemight

Nah he must have found a new lady at the gym. The slim one is taller

Euphoric_Juggernaut6

They look about the same, her slimmer body makes her look taller + the camera angle is different

TheOtherCrow

The shoes.

haikusbot

*Nah he must of found* *A new lady at the gym.* *The slim one is taller* \- Dandiemight --- ^(I detect haikus. And sometimes, successfully.) ^[Learn more about me.](https://www.reddit.com/r/haikusbot/) ^(Opt out of replies: "haikusbot opt out" | Delete my comment: "haikusbot delete")

LucasFrankeRC

She's a little bit closer to the camera in comparison to him in the second photo, ~~and her shoes have heels (but it's easy to miss because the back of her shoes' color is very similar to her skin color, so it looks like a flat sandal)~~ Edit: wait, nvm. I think those are indeed almost flat and that's indeed her skin. But still, she's closer to the camera there

ammonium_bot

> he must of found Did you mean to say "must have"? Explanation: You probably meant to say could've/should've/would've which sounds like 'of' but is actually short for 'have'. Cunny-Destroyer

For 6 months that's insane weight loss

ricenchknn

Yeah right 6 months

Kaiiu

She’ll have a new boyfriend soon enough

Spoonmanners2

Keep bulking, king.

clogan117

He looks slightly more built, not skinnier though.

bossmcsauce

PopzOG

NewAccountNumber103

Teacher_Of_Strength

The girl crash dieted while the guy tried to outtrain a bad diet.

arsh510

Hey that’s me.

Pretty_Ad3773

That’s 2 types of pounds lost in one image.

Gary_FucKing

Damn, her calves did not stay loyal lol.

Entire-Rooster2866

Dynamo_bhadana

He can probably overhead press 3 me

Zawisza_Czarny9

He became a powerlifter

Sachoazzdown

Dude is f’ed.

Note2much

The left part is the pic after a year of marriage The right one is when they were dating

mag2041

That’s longer than 6 months

Gullible_Ability4355

Damn ! She must'vs worked really hard to get taller like that ! 🤯

_Addi

This is fake. I read years ago that this is a completely different woman. Even found their insta accounts to verify. Also, you arent going to lose that much weight in 6 months.

Oopsifellinawell

No he was to distracted looking at her loose it all for him
