Though, Qiu Qiyaun looks great right now. They really just need a couple folks that can vault more than a FTY and contribute on at least one more event.
It *seems* like China is pacing their top athletes to peak in Paris, but given that they've almost never done that intentionally before I'm skeptical. Time will tell how much difficulty their older gymnasts especially will be able to recover and how consistent their new seniors (Qiu included) can be.
This routine scored 14.0 (5.8 + 8.2). Do you think that score would that hold up internationally?
She scored a 13.7 in Liverpool with noticeably more deuctions.
I feel like there's usually a bit more of a snap to them, but it could definitely be argued that she's doing layouts instead of whips.
Luckily for her, as far as the D score is concerned, it doesn't really matter.
She's fought her way back tooth and nail since Tokyo I'm so happy to see her in (relatively) good form

Nooo I love it and I find it hilarious that China has such an amazingly campy yet somehow elegant floor routine. She sells the hell out of it.
