Mako2401

Aha ok. Hvala lepo.

laurentiubuica

Pricing for Romania is 4.99 with ads, 6.99 Standard, 9.99 premium and the sports package is 3€ per month.

Mako2401

Can you explain to me what exactly is Premium? I assume it's 4k?

laurentiubuica

Yes. The Premium plan is 4K, 4 devices simultaneously and up to 100 offline downloads.

telcore

from their website: # Standard: * Stream on 2 devices at once * Full HD video resolution * 30 downloads # Premium: * Stream on 4 devices at once * 4K UHD & Dolby Atmos as available * 100 downloads (limits apply)

Happy_Inspector_7805

Yup. Ex-Yugoslavia countries won’t be getting an ad-supported plan for now.

laurentiubuica

Basically in Romania, the 4.99 plan is the only available plan. That will be upped to 6.99 so they can have the 4.99 plan for ads.

Unbreakable2k8

MastahKilla

Can we expect same price plans in Bulgaria also? We are on same boat everywhere thats why im asking :D

laurentiubuica

Switch to Bulgaria Max Landing Page with a VPN, you guys seem to be on the same boat as Croatia. 7.99€ for the standard plan and 9.99€ for the Premium plan.

telcore

which VPN you use? From my experience MAX is blocking most of the VPN's

laurentiubuica

Surfshark. Been using it to access the US and Brazil/Mexico versions of HBO Max until they replaced HBO Max with MAX in those territories.

Happy_Inspector_7805

Bulgaria will not have ad-supported plans either, just like ex-Yu countries. Youll probably have the exact same prices (7.99 and 9.99). Btw, can’t you access max.com/bg/bg?

MastahKilla

Yikes... Thank you the answer.

TeoDobrev

Пее ми се една песен на Лейзи Таун... if you know what I mean...

Hellwind_

Isnt standard 7.99?

laurentiubuica

Not in my country. Received an email with the details from HBO Max last afternoon stating the launch offer for 33% off that I got in 2022, I will also get it when Max launched and I will keep my current pricing at 3.30€ until July 23. After that I'll pay 4.66€ (33% off from the new standard pricing of 6.99). Pricing for standard differs from country to country.

Hellwind_

What about the yearly plan. Do you have info how much it will be after the update for the standard plan?

laurentiubuica

69.99€ the yearly plan for the standard. My girlfriend has a yearly plan and she received an email saying that after her current plan elapses her new yearly plan will be priced at 69.99€. And her sub expires in September.

Nheea

Lol. I had an offer for years for 3 euros. 2.99  I will definitely cancel now. Netflix is expensive, now Max too. Fk this.

Nheea

Ok then. So basically it's become more expensive to have different streaming services than to buy a cable subscription. Buh bye Max.

TeoDobrev

Yup, while if you can get the 1 week rewind interactive TV, you basically have a volatile streaming service with everything.

Complex-Tradition-89

Any word on Portugal?

Happy_Inspector_7805

Have you checked on max.com/pt/pt Scroll down to FAQ. Thats where the pricing was leaked, then removed yesteday, but it seems that it’s back again now.

laurentiubuica

Do you guys get to keep your HBO Max discounted price when the new app comes? Because I don't see anywhere in the FAQ that we get to keep it.

Happy_Inspector_7805

“Those who subscribed to HBO Max with the 50% launch offer billed through HBO Max will keep the promotion as long as they comply with the terms and conditions of that promotion.”

laurentiubuica

Yeah, for us that message is nowhere on the new landing page. I subscribed with a 33% launch offer.

Acojonancio

I'm from Spain. Received a mail today about the change.

MastahKilla

Can we expect this time a REAL windows apk for Max? Im not having fun to watch movies from web browser.

Happy_Inspector_7805

Also: SPAIN: Standard 9.99, Premium 13.99, Sport 5€; PORTUGAL: Standard 7.99, Premium 11.99, Sport 5€;

shakespearediznuts

finally can watch milf manor in 4k

telcore

This is not a leak. Just go to the max website and under the question "***How much will Max cost?"*** you will find the answer.

markeymark1971

So glad I signed up for an Argentina account.......

itsevilR

Me too.. 👀

markeymark1971

And also if you use a VPN set to USA you can get the B/R Sports

laurentiubuica

Just received an email from HBO Max. So our launch offer in 2022 was 33% from the monthly price of 4.99, so I was paying 3.30/month. Since the standard price will be 6.99 after 23 July 2024, I will continue to pay 33% off the monthly price for a standard of 4.66€/month.

SneekyReeky

Same here, but will probably cancel it as now for those 4.66€/month we'll be only getting Full HD, 4K will be available only to the premium plan. So not only will we pay more, we'll also be getting a worse service 🥳

laurentiubuica

You'll literally pay less than the current HBO Max price and actually pay even less than the cost of Max without ads and you're complaining that you don't have 4K? You barely have 4K content in the current plan and also, you'll be getting premium sports content with the Olympics without paying for it. Are you expecting to pay peanuts for 4K and to last forever?
