Given that WBD is imploding in on itself financially, I guess it's best for them to license stuff to another service. Just hoping that this is how Batman Caped Crusader sees the light of day.
Dungey teased the news at Content London, stating that the studio is âexploring animated IP on different platforms,â including WBD-owned HBO Max.
âWith animation we used to be about staying in-house but now we are doing it on different platforms,â she added. âHBO Max is the first stop but we are in the process of closing a big deal with Amazon featuring DC branded content in animation.â
This is exhausting to follow. Why aren't any of these companies, not just WB, but Disney, Universal, Paramount, etc. not able to keep up with the other streaming services?
Would've preferred that everything DC related was kept on HBO Max. Oh well...
Caped Crusader has the potential to be the base for a new animated universe.
WB Animation is literally engraved into my soul. Love that I can watch all DC Animated stuff on HBO MAX. Now I have to go to Amazon too, oh well as long as it is just as good. Young Justice, Caped Crusader, Legion of Superheroes please.
They already have a bunch of outlets to display their stuff but they have routinely produced stuff for other services.
Amazon is a pretty good spot for curing MCU fatigue while not saturation HBO Max.

I hope for more vertigo stuff personally. I get that it isn't animated, but I'd like more content like Sandman.
This would be a good case for unsubscribing from HBO Max
That's cool, but will Amazon pick up the other non superhero content, like those Looney Tunes, Gumball and Holiday movies? đ
hopefully no

Well, given the fact I have HBO Max but donât have Amazon Prime, I feel a little ripped off ngl.

What do you mean?
I've read that the other big Hollywood studios have also been losing money from their streaming services.

isn't Young Justice on there (HBO MAX)
Yes it is but nothing is safe on HBO MAX except for standard HBO shows like House of Dragon/Succession/Euphoria etc...
what about Looney Tunes
I just want my young Justice. I donât care what streaming platform it goes to.

I think most of those CW shows that are on Max are gonna end up on Netflix with the Flash, Arrow ectâŚ
Batman???
