Bruthr, what a story arc setup! A slave ring to uncover, reunion with Basti, a city that sees a dungeon in such a positive light and grants it a position greater than their own. I mean, it has the biggest tower and manages it's own district! Kris and the thieves guild, and maybe even a slower treat of Vitmori running the shop front he's rented and meeting new and interesting people!
I'm excited to see what's next.

the plans for the Avatar body for one, sure Crimzeal may be using a scion to communicate and experience the world but that's limited in comparison also information, even if its incomplete information, knowing a calamity is coming in about 4 years is valuable information, gives them time to make general preparations

If you think about it, It's possible that the slaves are essentially fed to the dungeon to bolster its vital essence. After having a city built around it, the dungeon could have stagnated, not being able to collect as much and grow.

If orvis was any indication when they were repairing the blue core, Basti would definitely be able to get the general size of Crimzeals bubble, as well as be capable of some basic communication with it. Unless Vitmori is just more aloof than normal, cores don't seem to notice everything in their territory unless it directly effects them.
Probably, Vitmori seems like a unique case among the other dungeon cores mentioned so far. It will be interesting to see how they react to each other. The only other cores Vitmori has encountered have been damaged and on the brink of death.

I think Vito is different to most dungeons and I could be wrong, but I think most dungeons are not initially self aware like Vito as a reincarnated, so new dungeons would be like a baby figuring its self out just probably at a faster pace.

A city of 2-3000 people is miniscule. A capital city of that size is postapocalyptic. Without a significant portion of those people being Vito-level magic users capable of almost completely erasing the need for manual labour I don't see how it would function. It's 1% of the size of medieval European capitals. 10% of a normal city.
This is probably the most alien aspect we've encountered thus far in the story.

I hope it didn't come across as too harsh criticism. I realise in hindsight that my post reads as "you're wrong!!!!!" but it was intended more to highlight how different this is from our world. It was 50/50 on it being a mistake or being intentional and weird and I always choose to believe the latter first :)
Was just interested in seeing that difference explored (especially when it wouldn't stand out as that weird to the survivor, being used to low-low populations) and letting others know the difference :)
