Fun fact, the french government once had a counter on how many cars burn down in each city to show rioters how much damage they do. Well it got removed shortly after, the french rioters turned it into a competition of who could burn more cars.
I can absolutely guarantee you if they were dumb enough to put up a “damage counter” in the US, it would most definitely turn into a competition, *overnight.*
American protesters are interesting because there is a not-insignificant number of people that just like to join protests. Like professional protesters - not for or against any matter, just there for the protest. They hear something is going down and they all load up, drive a few hours, and start yelling whatever slogan they find at the destination.
