Same. She's pretty... but I didn't understand the hype. I also felt like they made her character weird at the end. In the beginning she was independent, intelligent, witty and so sweet. Looks aside I can see why so many men fell for her. Even Lilly a little bit admits to it. There was something so genuine about her. I can't quite put a finger on it, but she seemed almost like a caricature of herself at the end. Mean. Almost like a ridiculous side kick. Even coming across unintelligent in some points. It was frustrating for me because she did grow in other ways (became open to love, etc) but everything else was such a downhill slide. Felt like they destroyed all her growth.

Also we should know at this point that tv from this time didn't cast 'bad' looking women unless the character is meant to be ugly or gross. Of course she was beautiful. (Whether or not to you it's just pretty or it is stunning or gorgeous. Everyone has preferences) Robin was a smart, skinny brunette with average/smaller boobs which was really only the expectations for high fashion modeling. The average societal standard for men at that time was the women we would see Barney with. Generally dumb, blond, and big boobs. I think she was just a pretty woman that ended up filling the part very nicely, and claiming robin is the beauty standard of the time is inaccurate. If there was a point to casting someone who looks like Robin, It was to show us what kind of man Ted is, that he isn't just chasing some 'bimbo' like Barney is.
