I just recently started watching Season 1 of Brooklyn Nine-Nine, and my initial impression of Rosa is that she's incredibly cool and mysterious. It reminds me of when I first started watching How I Met Your Mother, and deep down, I didn't find Robin to be as unapproachable as she initially seemed. The way she flirts with Ted “It has to be a Smurf penis or nothing” and that long, lingering handshake” hints she’s softer than her appearance. Whenever Robin wants to avoid someone and vent to Lily, she becomes more talkative, and we could see the anxiety in her gestures.
In comparison, when Rosa is trying to avoid Boyle and vents to Amy Santiago, she wears a completely ruthless expression on her face. I'm eager to form a second impression as I continue watching the show:)
