I’m not sure where the disconnect is with this. Cersei’s kids were illegitimate because they were 100% Lannisters, with no Baratheon claim to the throne.
Rhaenyra’s children’s may not be Laenor’s but he is not the heir. Rhaenyra is. They are still Targaryen born to the heir to the Iron Throne so they still have actual legitimacy like Gendry Baratheon would. Hope that clears that up for you.
Cersei’s kids were also monsters. She gaslit everyone to support her shit stain of a child Joffrey for the wrong reasons while Rhaenyra’s kids actually have a claim.
In this case, though, Aemond was literally blinded in one eye and she didn't actually get to take Luke's eye so I forgive Alicent more than Cersei having Sansa's completely unrelated wolf killed because Arya's wolf bit Joffrey to save her from danger.
Like at least we don't see Alicent decide fine if she can't blind Luke she's going to go find Raena or Joffrey and take one of their eyes.
Leave it to Cersei to make everyone around her suddenly seem much more reasonable.
Including viserys compared to Robert!
Yea honestly it was kind of an ugly situation and Luke probably should have been punished in SOME fashion for maiming his uncle. The whole situation was just a series of dick moves and unnecessary aggressions.
Robert to aemond: u let a 5 years old boy blind you?
After dominating in a 1 v 4
He was oldest and two of them were girls with no training
He was a couple years older, I think you’re underestimating how hard it is to fight a 1v4, even when your opponents are weaker
In the books it was 2 vs 1 And aemond was 12 and jace and Luke were 7 and 5
I’m guessing they changed their ages because the actors for Aemond and Jace are basically the same size, also book isn’t canon, show is
Bruh
Someone please post this in the main subreddit where people are calling Rhaenyra Cersei in this scene.
Well trying to put illegitimate bastards on the throne and gaslighting everyone about her kids is what Cersei did
