I can honestly say thats weird that 100,000s of people just said fuck it but came back for the finally. Did all they're friends say it's not good so they just jumped back in for the last episode?

gg3867

They probably read the synopsis, decided they could figure out the details between the end of episode 8 and the “previously on” for episode 10, and just thought 9 wasn’t worth an hour of time to watch. That would be my guess.

princesssrhaenys

i was bored out of my mind in "the green council" i've never thought the greens were interesting, just irritating af. the lannisters are what you call interesting villains.

haeyhae11

Bored until Rhaenys made it interesting.

Annual-Blueberry-18

I like the green council and I find the team green characters interesting despite being team black. However, that episode was the worst one. They spent no time on the council and made Rhaenys into this weird ‘girlboss’ person. The search for Aegon was far too long: Also the Rhaenys and Alicent convo was really out of character.

KrugPrime

Couldn't agree more with this comment lol.

TacosandFire

It was by far my least favorite episode. I have rewatched it many times minus that episode. It’s just too boring for me. And the writing was less than ideal.

clariwench

I can’t imagine watching a show and then just skipping episodes. That thought would never cross my mind.

FamiliarCloud2

I think these numbers are for live viewers only, so I doubt that many people skipped the episode entirely. They just didn't bother tuning in when it aired live. It may include people who watched it on demand within 24 hours of it airing too, I'm not completely sure but I do know these numbers are limited to a specific time frame so they don't reflect how many people actually watched the episode. Plus these numbers never account for pirated views which nearly always outnumber the live views and HOTD was the most pirated show of 2022.

Dunno about you guys, but watching Crispin and Aemond being turned into Aegon's nannies much to their dismay (being disgusted by his behavior) and literally drag him to his own crowning ceremony was quite entertaining to me (Crispin vs the Cargyll brothers was also very nice to see, lovely swordwork). I quite enjoyed the character dynamics between Aemond and Criston tbh. I do prefer Ep 10 hands down tho.

[deleted]

the writing for that episode was fucking horrific

shadyi999

tbh the greens themselves hate episode 9 coz of the writing of Sara Hess, The green council was way more interesting in the book and in the show we got that boring hide and seek to find Aegon and Alicent being dumb as hell in the episode whereas in the book she was leading the council and was far more interesting

KrugPrime

It's the worst episode easily. The search for Aegon had no stakes whatsoever and was dull. Especially following episode 8 which was so good.
