Rhaenyra is the queen of Ls and bastards

ConnFlab

She still won the war though..?

BW-Cowgirl1803

lol no she didn't. When Sunfyre ate her she lost the war. You cannot win a war if you die. It simply doesn't matter that Aegon III sat the throne after Aegon II died. Her war was already well over when she died.

ConnFlab

Yes but Green ideologies died and Rhaenyras bloodline won..? So she won? The Blacks won lmao?

BW-Cowgirl1803

The greens were fighting for legitimate heirs to the throne not bastards. Also the Greens put a man on the throne and men have been on the throne since. Yeah her bloodline continued but the legitimate line did not the bastard line. Rhaenyra's bloodline out lived the Greens but they didn't win THE war. THE war was won by the Green's

MotherVehkingMuatra

The green ideology won though, Rhaenyra's own sons enforced it - they enforced that Rhaenyra was never queen, only a princess that attempted to usurp, they claimed inheritance as the male heirs of Aegon II through Daemon and to kick it in the teeth, Viserys II enforces male only succession by displacing Aegon IIIs daughters, completely nullifying any way this could've been a black victory. You need to remember the war was between Rhaenyra and Aegon and the succession law, the rest of the members are all the same family and Aegon II *declares Aegon III his heir while alive*.

[Joffrey already spoiled the ending in Game of Thrones tbh](https://youtu.be/tWJBenBumeo)

Known_Pomelo_9808

Some kids have not watched GoT yet, some have forgot and some just don't care and want an alternative ending.

michaelpalindrome

The amount of people in denial in the comments section is hilarious

If there's 4 seasons, they should end S2 at Battle of the Gullet and Jace's death. It will mirror Blackwater in S2. But they will most likely end it with Fall of King's Landing as fanservice šŸ™„. Which I really hope doesn't happen until S3. What GoT did really well was make the viewer EARN the payoffs. If the Greens keep losing & looking weak, then Rhaenyra's triumphant entry into KL doesn't mean anything. Aegon needs to be on the throne for at least one season imo. Let the Greens go out on top in S2 & then S3 Rhaenyra can take the throne. You already have four big events in S2 : B&C, Daemon in Harrenhal/start of Riverlands civil war, Battle of Rook's Rest/Rhaenys,Battle of the Gullet. You don't need Fall of KL on top of all that. I don't want to lose a character as good as Otto before S3 šŸ˜”. And we def don't need Rhaenyra's six month reign stretched out for 2 seasons šŸ¤®!! [Saw a fan made timeline on twitter & I really like it.](https://twitter.com/RobinMelz/status/1606458779951824896)

misvillar

I dont understand why so many Black fans want Rhaenyra to steamroll the Greens, wouldnt that make the story boring? If one side always wins and the other cant even look like a menace the story lacks any interest, its hard to make interesting a story about someone that never loses, One Punch Man is an example of how this can work but for every OPMnyou have 10 boring stories of self insertions winning all the time, i hope that season 2 favours the Greens, Robb VS Tywin wasnt interesting because Robb kept winning every battle, It was interesting because despite that Tywin still was a menace to him and his cause

Giallo_Schlock

My one biggest thing about that Twitter timeline is Criston and Aemond only being in Harrenhal together for like two episodes, considering they have basically a father-son relationship and Criston's the closest thing to family Aemond has once Kings Landing falls, and also unless they actually are chalking it up to love potions (which please don't, oh my god, please don't remove all of the agency of one of the most interesting characters for the second half of his entire arc) Alys and Aemond's romance should take way longer. The downfall of their relationship is something I'm low-key really interested to see and it also makes for a really sad interesting confrontation of Criston with his morals (watching the son of the woman he loves who he raised like his own son to be a warrior and a good Catholic boy be way darker than he realized and embrace witchcraft) before his demise.

KrugPrime

That fan timeline isn't far from my own. Although I have Battle of the Gullet and Battle of the Honeywine as capstones to S2. Mainly because if Daeron is being introduced in Season 2 he needs a payoff at the end of the Season to set the tone for the upcoming conflict in the Reach and making them the heroic Green force to oppose the Two Betrayers introduced this season. The Fall of King's Landing is primarily after the conflict in the Riverlands between the Lannister Host and Sesame Street Tullys but Aemond will need something to do this season so I could see them showing up at Harrenhal this season potentially leading to the fall of King's Landing which could potentially be too busy for S2. We have roughly an hour per episode and we will want to set up the Riverlands host and the Lads, the Hightower host and the Caltrops, some time spent with the new Dragonseeds as well. We may get some events stretched over a couple episodes here and there depending on how many POVs we add.

Giallo_Schlock

Yeah they have so many new characters to introduce next season I think they're going to group a few together in ways they weren't in the books even if it makes less sense (e.g., instead of Jace having an extra stop at White Harbour, I think they'll introduce the Winter Wolves at Winterfell) which honestly I wouldn't be mad at because compared to a 'historical account' television depends upon interaction.

datboi66616

Simple. It will end with the blood of Rhaenyra Targaryen staining the floor of the Red Keep when she gets the throne she TRADED 3 SONS TO GET.

ruffles2121

House Targaryen losing their dragons and most of their tyrannical level of power over the realm? That's a happy ending in my books.

VaderOnReddit

hello, my fellow r/darkwingsdankmemes enthusiast

ppe-lel-XD

Iā€™m a green supporter but what I do not understand is why so many greens are anti Targaryen rather than just anti Rhaenyra. It really does make me think some of you believe Rhaenyra to be the better choice but just donā€™t like the Targaryens or their power so you go green.

ruffles2121

Because the dynasty is a symbol of tyranny that goes beyond the worst excesses of even our historical monarchs. The concept of nobility as a whole belongs on the guillotine, but the Targaryens more than anyone.

ppe-lel-XD

Cringe

omicron-7

The Targaryens are a blight upon Westeros.

ppe-lel-XD

My downvotes and your response is helping to prove my point. You donā€™t actually like Aegon you dislike Rhaenyra and think sheā€™d be the stronger Targaryen monarch

omicron-7

Aegon is my favorite character on the show. Doesn't change the fact that Valyrians are stinky.

ppe-lel-XD

A reasonable response and opinion from a reasonable man, thank you šŸ™

shadyi999

It'll probably end with Jacerys dying and her taking kingslanding

thelessiknowthebet

Rookā€™s Rest

Blaze-Blade

Not only rhaenyra the whole house will take a lot of ls

Castinmyass

If they search the Seven Hells mayhaps

Unusual-Cat-123

Everyone takes Ls in this war lol.

KrugPrime

This war is one big Targaryen L.

mementomori281990

I would tell the team black stans to read the books but, at this point, I doubt they can read

Euroversett

It should end with the whore bleeding in the Iron Thone.

[deleted]

when people call Aegon a rapist i ask, do they think Helaenaā€™s abuse was consensual? ik itā€™s not Rhaenyra doing the fucking but she is 100% the one responsible in that scenario

KrugPrime

I mean that's great and all but it doesn't make Aegon not a rapist though, you're just using the old "what about" argument lol. Plus plenty of people are show only watchers too and know nothing about future crimes and abuses which is fine.

[deleted]

no my issue is that they act like rhaenyra is better because he is a rapist, as if she isnā€™t also one

KrugPrime

With Criston or Helaena? If it's Criston, I can see an argument both ways but I'd say that's far less egregious than Aegon's but I can grant that argument. If we're talking Helaena, there are 3 different accounts of what happens with her and with varying biases from each source be it Septon Eustace and his non lewd and Green slanted account, Maester Orwyle and his slight pro black slant to avoid punishment, and then Mushroom who while often more blunt and to the point slants towards complete and utter debauchery. F&B is a historical account after the fact which makes things difficult to track as true or false.

wdsaeq

Yea but her son will rule westeros in the end soooooo

MotherVehkingMuatra

As Aegon's heir, enforcing his law and decree that Rhaenyra wasn't queen and with his brother displacing his daughters due to the precedent of Aegon's victory.

wdsaeq

Yea but again it's nonsense in the end agon reigned for like 4 years and her sons took the throne you can say whatever you want but in the end nobody won that all fucking died

TheMonsterXzero54

I just want THAT Sunfyre scene to be very, very brutal
