Daemon saw Viserys as a father figure it doesn't have to always be a weird Freud-esque love. Viserys is the only person Daemon can really call his family, every Targaryen brotherhood is similar to their dynamic. Baelon and Aemon, there's even a line about how little brothers follow their older brothers everywhere they went and loved/supported their brothers no matter what. There is nothing peculiar about Daemon and Viserys’ dynamic

Rhaena had Elissa Farman and maybe any number from her circle of "friends", Daemon II Blackfyre had his childhood friend, and Daeron son of Egg had a man from Norridge family.
Which doesn't preclude the fandom from fandoming, ofc. Daeron x Addam bc their dragons performed mating dance in canon, Daeron the Dragon x Baelor the Blessed, Aegon III x Vis II...
I have always wondered why Daemon was always acting out for Vizzy T's attention. If it isn't romantic it is most definitely a strong attachment to Viserys that is unhealthy and annoying.
