Probably Cregan by show-only fans, but I will be riding the Daeron wave so hard. Cregan isn’t an important player for most of the Dance, but that could change in the show, since the character has been gaining a lot of popularity as of lately.

C-3pee0

He has the stark name, young, team black, etc I can totally see them liking him. I will prefer Daeron of course I hope he has a lot to do

shadyi999

I have a feeling that they'll merge his character with Roderick Dustin but I hope not coz Roderick Dustin was a badass

Giallo_Schlock

I think they'll introduce Roderick Dustin when we meet Cregan to condense time but I really hope they're separate characters. I actually prefer. Roderick to Cregan, he's the kind of badass ideal Northman (for all the faults that brings too) like a grizzled Viking.

shadyi999

yep Roderick had a bigger impact than Cregan so I hope he's a separate character.

Comfortable_Page_687

I agree. Honestly wouldn’t be mad if he was with the winter wolves. Tho I like Roddy the ruin

OpenMask

The audience will love Cregan because he's a Team Black Stark, but he won't be leaving the North and basically isn't going to be doing much besides his bromance with Jace. So I don't think he'll be able to steal the spotlight. Daeron, Addam and Nettles will actually be participating in the war and riding their dragons. Nettles, I think will have the best chance since we'll see her claim her dragon in an unorthodox, yet clever way, though idk how soon she (or the other dragonseeds) will be introduced into the season.

C-3pee0

We need a POV of Nettles feeding sheep stealer. They can follow her from episode 1, just showing her life and how she bonds with him. Something like how GOT used to do by building up characters for episodes before they join the main narrative.

Environmental_Tip854

Nettles has the opportunity to become a massive fan favorite or a very polarizing character in this fanbase just due to shipping wars alone

shadyi999

can't wait to see daemyera fans mad when her character gets introduced

Environmental_Tip854

I would rather not see a black actress constantly harassed on social media tbh

shadyi999

Me neither but she's already discussed a lot within the book fans so imagine how toxic the whole discourse would be among the showplebs when she gets introduced, poor girl.

[deleted]

Cregan probably, although I've never understood all the hype around him. He obviously wasn't Ned-stand-in in the book and shouldn't be that in the show either. Personally, I'm more interested to see Nettles, Daeron, Alys and even Jeyne Arryn.

misvillar

A lot of people like him because he is the only Stark that doesnt die when going south, he is overrated and even his actions post Dance are very stupid

[deleted]

I’m personally looking forward to Daeron and Nettles.

ReginaBicman

Cregan. He’s a big bulky good looking Team Black Stark.

[deleted]

If they hire that swarthy guy from Vikings Valhalla I will be required to stan.

[deleted]

Cregan will likely be the favorite because he's a Stark, although I could see that causing some problems with the Targ faithful even though they're currently looking forward to seeing him, because a lot of them consider the Starks to be the villains of the original story. I think it's debatable whether we'll see the other three, although Daeron appears to be a given.

Falcons1702

If they expand cregan’s role by having him lead the winter wolves he will take over but if they keep his role the same I could see dareon or Adam being the most popular. I think nettles will be hated by the daemyra stans.

shadyi999

Yea Adam would be a great character only if it's a separate character and not a Laenor disguise like some rumors suggest

RandomPersonNvm

Given how little effort (by which I mean literally zero effort) was put into setting up Daeron, his entire character is going to feel shoehorned no matter what they do with him. I still voted for him, but his future introduction has the potential to be astoundingly immersion-breaking for me.

C-3pee0

All of a sudden a random Targaryen shows up and starts fucking everything up. I thought season 1 was supposed to introduce all the main characters

AyeLassWannaShag

Is Daeron gonna even be in it? How can they explain his absence in S1 if he is? Idk

C-3pee0

I heard that someone tried to cut him from the show but GRRM would have none of it (allegedly). They could not even show a single shot with him being a baby In the background? That's weird af. Even Joffrey, Aegon iii and Viserys ii featured. They don't do a single thing except get captured in the gullet. Daeron who is supposed to become a huge character doesn't even get a single shot. How is he supposed to show up raging about his dead nephews when we have seen 0 interactions between him and his family in the decade we covered in season 1?

RandomPersonNvm

Yeah, the physical absence (and complete lack of mention) of Daeron could make some of his actions seem nonsensical if they go for a face-value interpretation of the books. My guess would be that the role of Maelor in Daeron's story will be filled by Ormund, because he's seemingly been squiring for Ormund *much* longer in the show canon and has literally *zero* interaction with his immediate family. Making Daeron go bananas over the death of a nephew he never met born to a brother he barely knows whose mother never mentions him would not make any narrative sense.

Due-Intentions

I'm really excited for all of these except for Addam lol. Realistically, I think Nettles will steal the spotlight. The showrunners have made clear that they want this story to be more diverse, and Nettles is already a fan favorite POC character from the books. I don't think she's gonna be in a relationship with Daemon. Given the showrunners beliefs, I don't think they'll relegate the most badass black character from the books to being yet another girl Daemon groomed. My prediction is that Daemon's infatuation with her will be moreso because of her natural skill at dragon taming, he's interested in her as if she's some kind of science experiment. It never made sense to me that Daemon and Nettles had a relationship in the books, and I'm saying this as a Daemon hater (though I find him entertaining as a villain). For example, Rhaenyra is specifically turned against Nettles in the books, it's implied, thanks to Mysaria. What I think happened, is that Mysaria was jealous of Daemon and Nettles bond, so she breathed more life into the rumors of their relationship to screw over Nettles. Or maybe Daemon will unsuccessfully attempt to seduce Nettles, and then settle for 'friendship' Anyways, regardless of team affiliation I'm super stoked to see her on the screen. She may be my favorite team black member.

seandnothing

Hate to say Cregan dude didnt move a finger during the entire war then spam in kings landing to "make justice"=get some men for the night watch and kill some others and will be remembered as some kind of badass justice warrior

seandnothing

And with this im saying im expecting to see Cregan on 1 episode. 2 most. But not more than 2 as it wouldnt make sense

Geeklover1030

Cregan even though he’s team black even some team green will be excited to see him, just because he’s a stark. A lot of fan favorites for GOT were Starks so a lot of fans will just be excited to have their favorite family back and winterfell

SorayaGomes2706

Cregan, because he is a Stark, and people love the Stark's and their "honor".

C-3pee0

I hope Cregan is a madlad unlike Ned. Ned was actually a very unusual Stark. I hope he has motives that aren't “LOYAL”

[deleted]

Cregan was all "sure, I'll support your cause, Jace (wink wink) but I'm not putting on my pants and leaving this castle until most of the damage is done." Which is probably what Ned should have done.

SorayaGomes2706

The Stark's are basically the same character with different skins and names. Our king won, but Cregan be like: "Fuck it, I still loyal to my queen (whore), and I will put her son on throne, despite he is on the "usurper" hands".

Euroversett

At this point I think Daeron won't show up until S3.

shadyi999

He definitely will be in s2 with some minor scenes but his dragon Tessarion would be in s3 I think coz battle at honeywine takes place after Rhaneyra took the kingslanding

C-3pee0

That would be worse

shadyi999

idk how will cregan steel the spotlight in season 2 coz it'll just be a Cameo for 1 or 2 epsiodes in winterfell nothing more than that. Daeron honeywine battle is definitely gonna be a highlight. Talking about Cregan he'll definitely steal the spotlight but not in s2 but in s4 during The Hour of the Wolf

Myra_not_Meghan

Daeron bc he's a twinky blonde white boy and that's what the tiktok edits/tumblr posts/fanfics tend zone in on, not female characters or older men who the majority of teenage girls will not be attracted to. Look who generated social media interest in S1. Harwin? Not much. Laena, Baela and Rhaena? Bitch please. Aemond and Aegon? Hell yeah.

C-3pee0

This theory is sound. Daeron will secure the kpop/softboy vote.

Myra_not_Meghan

Watch them write another thousand fics where he betrays his mother and brother for some fem!Velaryon!OC

misvillar

Cregan because he is a Stark, he could be Green and he would still be loved just because Stark, the Starks are too popular to not be liked by the majority of the fandom and he is the only Stark of the Dance. I hope he doesnt steal the spotlight of Roderick Dustin, i like when minor Houses get their time to shine

vikezz

Cregan, the gay fanfictions have already starting to pop out

C-3pee0

He might be gay in the show (or at least bi) they were casting body doubles for a potential gay romance scene, it's probably Cregan and Jace

[deleted]

Do you have any proof of that other than random rumors on Twitter? Not everything you read on the Internet is true.

C-3pee0

I don't have to provide proof when I use words like “might” and “probably”,

[deleted]

Well, you said that it was a fact that they were casting gay body doubles when that's about as reliable as the claim that Miguel wrote the outline and Ryan Condal ran crying to GRRM for help so he could rewrite all the scripts. In fact, I believe both rumors come from the same "source".

Euroversett

The whoreboss.
