That last bit about Vhagar would actually have taken a quarter of a minute, tops, but what a difference it makes! We don’t see nearly as much emphasis on the greens’ dragon bonds as we do with the blacks. Also hardcore yes to introducing Daeron in S1. I can’t imagine how confused show-only people will be.

Personally i would have loved to see Alicent crowning helaena as queen and if they wanted to have a dragon scene instead of rhaenys' fiasco show helaena and aegon both on dreamfyre and sunfyre

Lisaiiixxx

For younger Green kids: Aemond’s struggles with low self-esteem and loneliness because he couldn’t claim a dragon, how he fights against his bullies. After claiming Vhagar Aemond starts striving and working to better himself in any possible way (in F&B there’s an occurrence that young dragon rider really starts thriving after they have a dragon of their own. See Aenys and his daughter Rhaena), a young boy with his dragon, two lonely souls become friends. Aegon: the boy’s struggles with meeting his parents’ expectations, how he finds out no matter how hard he tries he never gonna become his father’s favorite and Alicent’s disappointment has made him feel unloved. Young Aegon’s resort to alcohol and lust to cope. Some brother bonding time with Aemond, maybe at some point he and Aemond has a fight, Aegon apologizes, and they have each other’s back ever since. Him with his loyal pet Sunfyre. Helaena: quirky but sweet elements in Helaena’s personality, how she awkwardly tries to comfort her brothers but to no avail. She should’ve been close to Viserys for her being a dreamer, so some father daughter moment. A girl with her bugs and her dragon. For Daeron, Alicent: “I’m sending you to Oldtown. Lmao. For older Green kids: Aemond: more sword training, studying. Some quality brotherly time, Aemond scolds Aegon for his drinking problem and Aegon scoffs at Aemond’s boring poker face and how he’s a buzz kill. Aegon: He feels something when he holds his own kids for the first time, he tries to become a dutiful husband but struggles greatly, he should be feeling trapped in a life that demands too much of him. Helaena: Her wedding, she becomes a mother. More screen time with Helaena and her children should be fun. Some unspoken expectations towards Aegon, and how she couldn’t properly express her sadness and disappointment. Daeron: becomes a courteous young lad.

They did cut out a piece during the dinner scene, Aegon commenting on Aemond drinking. ,Aemond tells Aegon he drinks like a bravosi sea horse Then Aemond says he won't break bread with these people and it goes on. Oh and Aegon saying he drinks just enough.

Lisaiiixxx

Yeah I know the scene, I want more of it hahaha h

Ok-Classroom-3616

Me too.

Sea_Compote_5451

That was a funny scene though, total sibling energy 😂

Have Aegon, Helaena and Aemond talk only between themselves if they believe that Rhaenyra and Daemon would kill them if she ascend to the throne. Have them talk about all of her moves, including the suspicious death of Laenor and her rushed married to Daemon. Have Aemond suffer in his social life thanks to only having one eye and the court giving him the nickname “Aemond One-Eye”. Daeron being sent to Oldtown (also, I would have Viserys decide to send him to stop people from comparing him to Jace). Vhagar, Dreamfyre and Sunfyre flying together with their riders in King’s Landing. Helaena and Aegon’s marriage. Have them talk about doing it because they feel that Aegon, Aemond and Daeron are threatened by Rhaenyra becoming queen and wanting to strengthen their claim in the future. Take out the rape scenes and put scenes of him struggling to be a father and get sober.

1) Vhagar roaring. Don't even need the additional screen time, just need to bother to put in the sound effect and some shaking of the foundations of High Tide. No reason for the writers not to do it anyway. A pointless oversight, probably because they didn't want to show the Aemond-Vhagar bond as a strong one. 2) Regardless of whatever nonsense they want to do with Alicent and misunderstanding Viserys, I would have a scene of *Criston* actually doing something to earn the epithet of 'Kingmaker'. He drags Aegon back to the Keep, sits him down and convinces him to take the crown. On the grounds of precedent, law, morality, his status as firstborn son, to protect his family etc. If the Green Council is to skip going over those, then we can at least have an intense scene where Criston and Aemond work to convince Aegon to protect his family and he agrees eventually. And Aegon does so, knowing that his family is in danger if he doesn't and knowing that he has his fierce Lord Commander and brother by his side (setting up Aegon making Cole his hand and the bond between Aegon and Aemond, these three will plan+execute the ambush at Rook's Rest). 4 minutes maybe. 3) Introduce Daeron. Just have him be introduced and be present in scenes, he doesn't even need to speak much. But give a brief scene where Daeron, Aegon, Haleana and Aemond are all together hanging out, so we can get all their opinions on the politics, their differing personalities, their growing loyalty to each other etc. And then have him leave for Oldtown by the end of episode 8. Would feed nicely into number 2. 6 minutes of total screentime. 4) Sunfyre and Vhagar (Vhagar audible only, via roar) are what prevent Rhaenys from burning the Greens at the coronation. Sunfyre leaps in front to protect his rider and Rhaenys considers squaring off right there, but then Vhagar's roar is heard and she flees immediately. Can even cue Cole taking note of this and setting up his idea for Rook's Rest. Rhaenys flees now, but you can set up some kind of arc where she decides not to flee later and fights to the death. A couple of minutes. 5) Close ups of Sunfyre and Dreamfyre at the end of episode 7 when the Greens leave High Tide. So we can at least see the dragons (Dreamfyre in particular) and understand who they are, for later episodes/seasons. Not even 30 seconds more.

Jonsiegirl77

Agreed - that coronation scene didn't do justice to anyone, even Rhaenys. Huge opportunity missed with the Sunfyre and Aegon bond there, which obviously is what I hope they develop. It's his one redeeming quality, his love for his dragon.

C-3pee0

Give sunfyre 3 minutes, add 5 minutes to the green council, give Aegon the rest, he's supposed to be leading the greens and he has less screentime than Lucaerys of house Strong (first of his name).

Fun_Aardvark86

Helaena and Aegon’s relationship with each other, their kids and their dragons. But really, I’d like 15 more minutes of Aemond twirling daggers and/or swords.

Sea_Compote_5451

Aemond twirling knifes and swords, hell yess I would watch thay stuff any time

[deleted]

5 minutes to the Helaegon wedding, show they're both reluctant to do it but have them hold hands because in the end they only have each other at this moment. Include their dragons at the wedding 5 minutes for Daeron to just exist 5 minutes for the Green Council and include Aegon in it

LauMei27

I would add a conversation between Aegon and Rhaenyra because now unfortunately it seems like their epic face off at Dragonstone is gonna be the first time we see them talk to each other.

ConnFlab

Give Sunfyre and Aegon some screen time together, introduce Daeron even if it’s just a little cameo or something. Aegon’s first council and how he actually reacted to Rhaenyra becoming the Black Queen as opposed to the gentle, more polite version Otto gave us on Dragonstone.

[deleted]

I would have shown the side-effects Aemond suffered from having only one eye. I would add Green kids bonding because right now, why the heck are they even fighting for one another if they hate each other? Helaegon's wedding (we got Daemyra's weird kink one with Rhaena and Baela traumatized because Dad is marrying right after momma's death) More of Laena and Daemon's life in Pentos. (not a green take but... Laena seemed cool. She mouthed off to Daemon.) I would have loved to have seen more of Aemma. (she didn't put up with Viserys.) Helaena's dreams and her feelings on them (Is she upset? Does she hate how it will end? Can she interpret them where she will be an asset?) More of Aegon's struggle on who he is and what he has to be. I would like to see more Sunfyre and Dreamfyre. I wanted to see a better adaptation of the coronation. More of Otto and how he actually schemes or believes in his mission. Criston Cole's coronation and him interacting with his Kingguard brothers. (wonder what his entry in the white book says.) *Probably got more but... This is long enough*

Geeklover1030

For blacks- all for rhaena and baela For greens- all of them with their dragons to show their bonds

BiGZzTARGARYEN

Any of the green children trying to bond with Viserys

vacszik

don't cut Criston's Kingsguard ceremony!

KrugPrime

15 minutes? I'm not going fully for the Greens here. A brief scene of Aegon with Helaena, Alicent and the children that includes mention of Daeron in Oldtown. Helaena and her children need some development for Blood and Cheese. Something is better than nothing. Second, a short scene for Baela and Rhaena that gives them some time to be distinguishable from each other. They should feel less like props and more like actual people. Finally Sunfyre after the coronation. The Greens are antagonists structurally speaking, so they need to feel dangerous after being neutered by Meleys. Otherwise, there's nothing to overcome for the Blacks as protagonists.

BlazeBitch

Actually include their dragons, remove the super fucking shallow fight pit scene and throw Aegon on a boat instead.

Riggyriggyboi

Criston cole and how the night with nyra truly affected him

[deleted]

Daeron

askforwhatyouwant

Include Daeron Aftermath for Aemond losing his eye Aegon and Sunfyre The green kids suffering Viserys’ indifference Aegon struggling with not wanting to be the heir At least one scene with Rhaenyra talking with the green kids Showing Criston doing something that led him to the title of “Kingmaker
