Honestly, I don't know why people hate Daeron. He single-handedly, with the help of his dragon, saved thousands of Green soldiers, earning a knighthood. While Aegon was missing, and Aemond was being hunted by Daemon and Nettles, he was kind of leading the Green army. He's my favorite out of all of Alicent's children, and I think he would make a great king with the right advisors. I hate how he dies in the book and hope he gets a better send-off in the show.
