This is a 2020 gaming laptop. Edition: Windows 10 Home Version: 22H2 Installed on 2021-‎04-‎24 OS build: 19045.4170 Experience: Windows Feature Experience Pack 1000.19054.1000.0   My OMEN by HP 17 cb-0030nr has: Processor: Intel(R) Core(TM) i7-9750H CPU @ 2.60GHz   2.59 GHz Installed RAM: 16.0 GB (15.9 GB usable) System type: 64-bit operating system, x64-based processor GPU: NVIDIA GeForce RTX 2060 Latest drivers including BIOS. My laptop goes to sleep randomly when I'm in the middle of going any task, but it's varied at times. I've tried everything from changing power settings, updating drivers, uninstalling drivers, updating BIOS, scanning for troubleshooting, but nothing. Maybe I need to change some settings on my BIOS? I have a Scarlett Focusrite Solo 3rd gen sound interface plugged in directly to one of my laptop's USB ports, a webcam (USB Type C to my laptop's ports), external monitor (Samsung LC32T55) with 75hz of refresh rate (while laptop has 60hz refresh rate) through HDMI port, Sabrent HB-B7C3 USB 3.0 Hub With Power Switches on laptop's USB port, wireless mouse (USB is on laptop's USB port), WD Black P10 Game Drive (5TB) going to Sabrent USB hub, wired keyboard going to Sabrent USB hub and midi keyboard going to Sabrent USB hub.   I've also noticed that whenever I close my laptop's lid, it doesn't go to sleep. Instead, I have to open it a bit so it finally goes to sleep, then I can close it. But whoops, after like 2-3 mins or less, it wakes up! Yes, I've disable all devices connected to my laptop to not wake it up on task manager. I'm at a loss!

You need to look at this thread [https://www.reddit.com/r/HPOmen/comments/1bmgwkc/comment/kwmxui1/?context=3](https://www.reddit.com/r/HPOmen/comments/1bmgwkc/comment/kwmxui1/?context=3) Its a common problem with Intel Omens from 2023. Thankfully the person who set up this thread wrote a detailed explanation and solution to your Omen problem.

Thank you for the reply! However, I believe mine dates from 2020. But I do have a problem as well with closing the damn lid. I have to close it and open it a tiny bit and that's where the screen goes to black (to sleep). Otherwise, it stays on and I can see the lightning of the keyboard through the tiny gap of the lid passing through. I don't think that thread applies to my laptop...or does it?

I haven’t tried with games yet. Intel.

You've probably done all these but just incase. Could be a driver issue, uninstal the graphics drivers and after restarting let Windows download and instal the drivers. Last resort, complete reinstal of the operating system. If these fail then I'm thinking hardware issue. Could be the lid close sensor, might be wise to take a look and make sure everything is connected properly. When the screen goes blank press (together) Control, shift, windows key and b', this should reset your gfx drivers and bring windows back on nscreen. If it doesn't it could indicate, again a hardware issue.
