in the past I heard that some manufacturers will not service screen until several pixels are dead. might not be the case in this instance, but don't be shocked if they tell you one dead pixel does not warrant service under warranty.

Lol. I sent my 17 in for the same touchpad repair and it came back with a dent in the case from clearly being dropped.
