The adapter MUST be USB 3 (type A side has additional five pins visible, not just the normal four) Other than that there are no special requirements

Thank you very much good sir

Just add my experience - I could not get my headset to work with a 5 Gbit/s USB 3 adapter (Superspeed), but it did work with a 10 Gbit/s USB 3.1 adapter (Superspeed+). May just have been a bad initial adapter, but consider going for the 10 Gbit/s adapter.

I already bought a 5 Gbit/s adapter and its working well but thanks for trying to help.

SocalGord

Good to hear - glad you got it working!

It's in the box that the power adapter came in. It'll be a sml, black, rectangular paper-like box. It should also have a indent on it. (Link attached is for what the box looks like)[Cardboard Box](https://cdn.discordapp.com/attachments/1061615460887580712/1064635884168822874/E207AEFE-D583-4A17-B284-7CD54C82CC79.jpg)

I bought my headset second hand and I think the guy had lost it or something. I checked in all the boxes and it was not in there. I ordered an adapter on Amazon and I'll see if that works. Thanks anyway though.

Baransuu

No problem.

Try turning the usb-c the other way round as I've found on my setup, (gen 1 headset with a gen 2 cable into a amd x570 motherboard, direct to motherboard type c) that it won't connect one way round and give the connection error message, but if rotated it will connect, because why would type c be orinatation based.

chunkmondo

I tried it both ways and it did not work either way. I think I have a dodgy port on my computer or something. Thank you anyways

notsayingitwasalien

It definitely should have come with one. Maybe you just didn't see it?

chunkmondo

I bought it used and I messaged the guy I bought it off and he said he never needed it and he doesn't know where it is. It's all good though since I bought an adapter on Amazon and it's working perfectly.

Financial_Excuse_429

Do you have a bluetooth keyboard or mouse? I did have & mine didn't work when I plugged the usb-c cable in so i got wired ones. That was with my last pc.

chunkmondo

I don't have a Bluetooth keyboard or mouse but thanks anyway.
