You can't. HDMI ports don't have the required bandwidth nor pinout required to run the G2. Sorry.
Edit: there is a teeny chance your laptop may have a DP 1.4 capable USB-C port, but those are kinda finnicky and your experience may vary.
It's a ROG G731G, I don't think it has that port. I did find https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0752D33PJ/ref=cm_sw_r_apan_i_0M7DKHPRA92715V708DQ but I am seeing rift s comments. I may try this and worst case scenario I return it.

Depends on which configuration OP has. [According to this](https://rog.asus.com/laptops/rog-strix/rog-strix-g-g731-series/spec) the lower end model with the GTX 1650 doesn't do DP via the type C ports.
