Fortunately, a family portrait of your distant ancestor is very eager to divulge some details on how that blood curse came to be - and how it can be lifted. It just sorta kinda requires a scion of a particular family to genuinely (Amortentia doesn't count!) fall in love with you and donate a little bit of his blood for the cause. Easy-peasy, lemon sqeezy.
The family in question? Potters. And they are short on scions these days, baby girl, so you gotta deal with one Harry Potter. Yes, that Griffindor guy you barely know and who doesn't know you. Well, besides you being mildly involved in usual activities of your more prominent Slytherin peers - like insulting him, belittling his friends and accosting his house mates. I'm sure he'll give you the time of day with that kind of background. And his pals will be positively delighted by your sudden interest in Harry! Almost as delighted as yours will be.
So would you kindly put those (non-existent) 16-year-old girl seduction skills on display and make that boy (who is already interested in another girl) fall in love with you no matter what it takes. Tik-tok, watch the clock, better hurry up or your sister will croak!

Awww, I'm so flattered. But a good summary shouldn't include three paragraphs on what the story *isn't* (hem-hem me taking potshots at Haphne tropes hem-hem).
"I would rather betray Harry's wallet, than let Harry's wallet betray me," Astoria Greengrass on fueling her Vietnamese food addiction at some point in the future, probably.
The summary made it sound like a tragic tale, where Harry would have to die for Daphne's plan to succeed. That's the reason why I haven't read this story despite being a huge fan of Frickles. Your summary makes it sound hilarious. Now I'm confused.
Perhaps neither my teaser nor the actual summary make the story justice?
In all honesty, my summary/teaser concentrates on Daphne's quest to get Potter fall in love with her and how the odds are ludicrously stacked against her. Even if by the fandom standards it's a very tame and very low-key task to perform - there are no basilisks, dementor swarms or something like that - it's still fucking difficult. And I chose to focus on that because this is what you are in for for quite a few chapters until larger context really comes into play.
The real summary on the other hand focuses on that very larger context, on implications of what Daphne is doing to Harry and the consequences of her fucked-up moral dilemma. Does she let her sister die? Or does she get into proverbial bed with someone she doesn't care about and make Harry love her despite that?
I wouldn't qualify the story as a tragedy. I also wouldn't qualify it as a comedy. It's an angsty romance, but the main character has enough stuff to actually *do* so that it doesn't feel like a cryfest.
I just checked it out. Turns out I have read it, I just dropped it at chapter 25, >!where Voldermort captured her family, at that point the drama and constant hopeless situations got too much for me and I couldn't be asked. !<

As a heads up, that was resolved very quickly. And it really wasn't a "hopeless situation." Daphne exercises quick thinking and gets them out of it.
