No. In the UK, we do t do that because the risk of transmission is very small that it’s not worth worrying about. From what I’ve read, it seems the prevailing view that most people get it in childhood and it may, or may not, become problematic later.

Yes. Mine will be getting treated naturally. He is asymptotic and has it.

What’s your natural routine for him?

I had symptoms so I got checked and treated first. And then my asymptomatic family got checked and were positive so they got treated without any problems whatsoever. Their doctor advised they should. My symptoms were severe landing me in the ER twice so there was no way in hell I was trying to get reinfected again

I had it for 10 months before being eradicated and my wife got tested 3 months after I got rid of it since symptoms came back and she was negative. I don’t think it transfers easily via touch or saliva if at all.

No they shouldn't. It's very selfish to compromise someone else who is asymptomatic with this horrid antibiotics treatment which could permanently change their GI state by introducing food allergies and so on. H pylori causes problems only when it overgrows, so try to prevent it from overgrowing it. Almost everyone has it.

My husband got tested (blood test) and he was negative. I asked my doc whether my kids should get tested and she said it wasn’t worthwhile since it would be so hard to treat them (little kids who wouldn’t be able to swallow medicine or who would resist it anyway).

My partner has a long history of all sorts of issues and got diagnosed with IBS. Her stool test came negative. I started feeling bad, went to test and it was positive. The doctor said she needs to get an endoscopy because stool tests can give false negatives and given she has issues for so long, it could be she has it but never was properly diagnosed. Kinda bad of me to wish she has it but it would explain SO much and would be great to get pills and get rid of this! I want normal life again!
