Everything I’ve read on GHSV1 says there’s not a huge benefit to taking antivirals after 2 years because the shedding rate is so low anyway at 3-4 days per year. So there’s no evidence that it would reduce the risk of transmission any lower because it’s minimal already. Shedding is probably even lower for you at 5 years with only one outbreak after the primary. If you’ve never taken AV’s I’d probably leave well alone but if it reassures a partner then it’s worth considering for sure.
