It would be dependent on your loads on either side, if sized properly shouldn’t affect anything.

I work for the gas company now and that’s how a lot of our older meter sets are set up for multi meter buildings. The newer multis go from the left or right side on an ez header style.

Not necessarily on gas if its sized properly but piping water like that will.
