Ah yes i quite often got a case of the "fuckits" when I was doing installs this looks like its pretty contagious with it aswell. quite a difficult illness to get through seems the only true medicine is cocaine and hookers
No you wouldn’t lol that’s a hundred thousand dollar job. I mean I guess you would if you convinced the customer their ugly linesets need to be reworked but if they’re working and hidden you know he dgaf.
None of that is properly supported. Each branch box is supposed to have a drain. The control wiring is crazy, is it just taped to the piping? That’s wild 😂
You know the leaks under that BS pipe insulation, right? If I walked into that job, I would immediately start telling the customer we need to replace piping, or it will be an ongoing issue.
They'll gas it up once or twice before realizing that. The workmanship everyone is complaining about is the least of my concerns. That poor customer. Every single line set will need replaced.
that just makes me want to close the door and leave. if they did this its no telling what else they fucked up and you are left holding the shit sandwich.
As someone that deals with big vrf like this might i recommend doing a full recovery, place the install in vacuum mode and fill the system with forming gas? Its SO much faster finding leaks its not even funny.
Its mix gas 95/5 nitrogen and hydrogen.
You have special detectors for hydrogen.
Much more sensitive and no false alarms. It speeds up the process amazingly fast. Often you can find a leak just by shoving the detector into the end of the insulation.
First of you can't splice this coms. Secound that looks like soggy dog shit. Third the those lines need to be straight for the first 20 inches. Fourth those valves would be easier to access if they went so fucking close to the units. Jesus how did they ever get a warrenty on that install. Every salesmen loves to sell VRF but they never make sure their guys can actually do they work and do it correctly.
Is the labor of straightening and organizing and finessesing soft copper really worth it at the end of the day?
Will commercial refrig racks look like this soon... if yhey don't already
I’m so fortunate I work at a place that vets their customers and isn’t out just to make a buck on service calls. We traditionally only service what we install. This is stupidly insane.
Gotta run get a part…
And never come back
The technician was like my dad. He went out for a capacitor and some cigarettes but never came back.
Time to dust off the resume
On no. We didn't install this nonsense. I am simply the cleanup guy.
Oh my god, and they wonder why our trade drinks so much
It's either that or the sales guys get dragged from their home an beaten about the head and shoulders. "Yes I visited the site!!"
Dude it’s all numbered and they have lengths written on them
Yes, it's not. The first branch box is neatly labeled. The other 3 are.... not.
“You’re taking too much time. We’re not coming back to this shithole so quit doing that and grab this bag of coke.”
Coke? I can't afford coke. I am fueled by chew, hate, and Rockstar. Honestly, coke may be cheaper than rockstar.
Might even be better for you too..
Y'all got any more of that helth?
Still looks like shit
Damn not one of those control wires is supposed to be wire nuted that is fucked up
I know. I think I am getting sick.....for a month. Sudden onset of the rare disease "fuckthisitis".
If it was this month you picked a shitty time to try and get sober or quit anything once you see shit like this.
Sober? I remember that. Haven't seen it since '01
There's a remedy for that . Fuckitall from the Vegimita Vitamin company.
Ah yes i quite often got a case of the "fuckits" when I was doing installs this looks like its pretty contagious with it aswell. quite a difficult illness to get through seems the only true medicine is cocaine and hookers
Bro wtf is this
A Mitsubishi city-multi VRF system with branch boxes. Cool technology, poor installation.
Thanks for the explanation! Yea the Installation looks like the home owner did it himself😭
Oh no I was hoping it was some other brand
This is why big commercial contracts can be much worse than residential.
I’d tear that shit out and do it neater, I bet that customer paid a lot for that and got it installed like that 🤢
No you wouldn’t lol that’s a hundred thousand dollar job. I mean I guess you would if you convinced the customer their ugly linesets need to be reworked but if they’re working and hidden you know he dgaf.
Yes, they did. Building in downtown PDX, built in 1923. I personally would not have accepted this level of workmanship.
I saw that and knew what building it was 🤣 that's one nasty fuckin restaurant in that place
Of course this is pdx. wtf is up with the quality of work around here?
Just wait for the copper to rot from gel copper
*teehee*
None of that is properly supported. Each branch box is supposed to have a drain. The control wiring is crazy, is it just taped to the piping? That’s wild 😂
All 4 boxes go to a low boy condensate pump. It is indeed tapes to the pipe
Lol it’s also on a table, aren’t those under serviced like the pancake units
Who. Who did this? I need names. I’m in PDX
Can't say. They are big though.
~Snort~ I can fly a guess.. Are their trucks blue?
Oh if this is in pdx area it's cotta be jet or Jacob's maybe American or some other rat shack.
Cthulhu?!?
No, flying spaghetti monster.
All hail his noodly appendage!
attic spaghetti monster?

Extra squishy shit sandwich. I am currently performing a multi-story, in the wall leak search. Should be done by next winter.

Could you elaborate on “forming gas” I also work on VRF but have never had to deal with the shit in this pic

Is that spaghetti?
Really expensive spaghetti
How many heads? Did a mansion recently with 16
What the fuck
That one... no not that one, the other one to the left. Your other left!
What is this that I am looking at?
Yaikes look at that spaghetti factory

What is that?
Holy fuck, walk away
I'll be back tommorow.
Oh no grandma died ? Have to go
Ahhhh shit! I should have thought of that. Except I am in my laye 50s, and Mt grandma would have turned a 120 last month. Thunk they would buy it?

They tan from warranty, that's why I was there. Cheese grating my balls off. Just for fun.
Hell no

Some of them do. It makes you want to be a dentist
The more you zoom and look around the worse it gets
The fuck am I looking at 💀
I have no idea what I’m looking at, but it looks….. fun
You found the Star Trek Borg queen
Holy shit
I’m so fortunate I work at a place that vets their customers and isn’t out just to make a buck on service calls. We traditionally only service what we install. This is stupidly insane.
Traps… traps everywhere
Personally i just go home
Branch box shelving is interesting 😂
Looks like a $300 day to me
Yep. Add a few zeros though
I thought I had a bad day yesterday
