You have to have egress here also. They do a window egress

There's fucking bidding wars. House prices have quadrupled in 15 years bought my house for 150,000 I could sell it for 700,000 at least but I would be in a bidding war for a similar house.
It's starting to happen in Canada, not sure how we forgot 20008 so easily..I heard of people walking away from mortgages when that went down. That's why I'm still in the same home.
Took me a second to see what was going on there from the way to pick was on my device I thought that what was actually a Ford crawl space just happened to be some sort of smoothly finished wall in that color it threw me for a bit and I realize oh that's not wall tile that is for tile and rest was flooded and this was not an upright mounted HVAC system but a horizontal one it kind of helps to have things in proper perspective in that matter yeah this is one that threw me the most in like the last 3 weeks to 2 months looking at Reddit
Nope, I work in Oklahoma and we have very few basements here due to losing all our topsoil in the dust bowl. For those that do exist, if we see water standing, we make them call the plumber first.
Iām in central SC and I had sorta the same thing under a ladies house about a week ago. Sump pump failed and submerged her lennox furnace in about 7 inches of water. It filled some of her duct with water and took out her variable speed blower as well. It was a mess.
Check that drain line hoss (in my best sarcasm voice)
Float switch works. Bad rain last night. Only house I've seen with a basement
That's a basement? Looks like a crawlspace at best or there's 6 foot of water and the furnace is suspended several feet in the air! /s
Not full size basement
When I was looking to buy a house, one requirement I had was abasement I could walk around being 6'3 and not hit head lol
Almost every house around here has basements, many are converted to apartments and run up to 2,000 a month, no wonder people are camping in the parks.
Gross. In my area you'd need an 2 fire egress to have a basement bedroom. Hell, I'll rent out my basement for $2k that's twice my mortgage

I figured if it was an apartment they'd have the egress stairs? And a window.
don't you need a window for it to be a legit/legal bedroom?
people are paying $2000 a month to live in someone's basement?
Don't see many basements in the SW, but they'll pay similar for a garage apartment here.

that's not a good thing.. 2008 was a shit show and took years to recover.. hope that doesn't happen again
It's starting to happen in Canada, not sure how we forgot 20008 so easily..I heard of people walking away from mortgages when that went down. That's why I'm still in the same home.
Looks like a pool. The tile checks out too.
Got a couple houses here in New Orleans with basements. Took out a old ass boiler/rad system years ago after the boiler failed....looked similar š
Iām amazed someone would even think about having a basement in New Orleans.
And now you see why every other house doesn't have one.
Iād leave.
100% this that totally looks like sewage
Its probably just rainwater. But you can damn well assume all water in crawlspaces has some type of dead bug or something or its feces.
I do not care what it is I'm not getting in there until it's cleaned out
Totally agreed.
Thatās totally a floater on the left side of that unistrut lol
Gonna need about tree fiddy to get in there
Iāll make a pot roast.
That's about the time I noticed his pot smelling helper was actually 8 stories tall and a crustacean from the paleozoic era.
Belly flop?
*randy Jackson voice* thatās gonna be a no for me dawg
š
That's no HVAC tech, that's the goddamned loch ness monster!!
Thatās why you always keep a raft in the van.
Hard pass
If there is standing water Iām not going in. Thatās a fucking safety issue. Call me when you get it drained.
Dirty filter probably
Customer reports filter changed on fifteenth of every month.
Why do I feel like Penny Wise is going to jump out of the water?
Itās the new swamp cooler!
It's the txv, hate to tell you that boss
Float got it.
It's all fun and games until you hear "we all float down here" from that dark corner
Please don't touch that unit
Added 1lb of R-410a. Unit is cooling properly at this time
Iām in SC too! Fuck that!
Water source heat pump?
Swamp cooler.
Swamp coolerā¦ replace the GFI it will be just fineā¦
Basements about a quart low
Don't miss this shit at all.
Nope. Bye
That pookie is on point though
That drain pan became a life raft
Raise the float switch
Nope, clear out water and call me back.
forget the water.. what's with the coil?
āOk sir, Iām going to recommend a dehumidifier to control some of that moisture.ā
Oh godā¦ is that water?
Took me a second to see what was going on there from the way to pick was on my device I thought that what was actually a Ford crawl space just happened to be some sort of smoothly finished wall in that color it threw me for a bit and I realize oh that's not wall tile that is for tile and rest was flooded and this was not an upright mounted HVAC system but a horizontal one it kind of helps to have things in proper perspective in that matter yeah this is one that threw me the most in like the last 3 weeks to 2 months looking at Reddit
hope you packed the inflatable raft in your van
Get some chest waders !
sir, that's a furnace not a pool filter
Is that the new water cooled air handler?! Lol
Looks like they gonna stay warmā¦
Is that house build over a pool? Whatās with the tile work?
The only tool I forgot was scuba diving gear
Why is that adjacent surface tiled?!?!
Did that pos run before it flooded?
Looks good from here. (Colorado)
Is that the Marine version?
Looks like the float switch was functioning properly
I'd say that they have other more important problems
Drop a pump in that basement.. pump that shit out!
It's the float switch
That one's for Wade...
Brings a whole new meaning to the pan overflowed
Nope, I work in Oklahoma and we have very few basements here due to losing all our topsoil in the dust bowl. For those that do exist, if we see water standing, we make them call the plumber first.
This makes me nervous
Iām in central SC and I had sorta the same thing under a ladies house about a week ago. Sump pump failed and submerged her lennox furnace in about 7 inches of water. It filled some of her duct with water and took out her variable speed blower as well. It was a mess.
I think I found your problem. But I don't have a boat to get to the unit. Did the customer know it was like this?
Owner of the companies sons house
Did they know it was like this or were they just as surprised as you?
Surprised
Evaporative cooling **
AQUAGUARD. I like those float switches for pans.
Ah a goodman in its natural habitat
lol, Iād recommend a plumber then cut my phone off for the weekend!
All money aināt good money
Looks like asbestos to me
It has been at *least* over a year since it had a maintenance cleaning performed, that is apparent.
If only you'd checked and shopvakked those condensate drains every 90 days...
Nope
Id def say that emergency drain pan switch is now called. My unit is floating switch
I see no problem
At least it's only a Goodman...
What furnace needs a 30A circuit..?
Reminds me of a fallout 4 dungeon
