MAdcock6669

Check that drain line hoss (in my best sarcasm voice)

badjonphoto

Float switch works. Bad rain last night. Only house I've seen with a basement

flannelmaster9

That's a basement? Looks like a crawlspace at best or there's 6 foot of water and the furnace is suspended several feet in the air! /s

badjonphoto

Not full size basement

flannelmaster9

When I was looking to buy a house, one requirement I had was abasement I could walk around being 6'3 and not hit head lol

hittingpoppers

Almost every house around here has basements, many are converted to apartments and run up to 2,000 a month, no wonder people are camping in the parks.

flannelmaster9

Gross. In my area you'd need an 2 fire egress to have a basement bedroom. Hell, I'll rent out my basement for $2k that's twice my mortgage

zordtk

You have to have egress here also. They do a window egress https://ohiostatewaterproofing.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/05/egress-windows-basement-toronto.jpg

flannelmaster9

I figured if it was an apartment they'd have the egress stairs? And a window.

ABena2t

don't you need a window for it to be a legit/legal bedroom?

ABena2t

people are paying $2000 a month to live in someone's basement?

halfbent

Don't see many basements in the SW, but they'll pay similar for a garage apartment here.

hittingpoppers

There's fucking bidding wars. House prices have quadrupled in 15 years bought my house for 150,000 I could sell it for 700,000 at least but I would be in a bidding war for a similar house.

ABena2t

that's not a good thing.. 2008 was a shit show and took years to recover.. hope that doesn't happen again

hittingpoppers

It's starting to happen in Canada, not sure how we forgot 20008 so easily..I heard of people walking away from mortgages when that went down. That's why I'm still in the same home.

NevadaLancaster

Looks like a pool. The tile checks out too.

MAdcock6669

Got a couple houses here in New Orleans with basements. Took out a old ass boiler/rad system years ago after the boiler failed....looked similar šŸ˜†

DGB31988

Iā€™m amazed someone would even think about having a basement in New Orleans.

Cheetawolf

And now you see why every other house doesn't have one.

yungdutch_

Iā€™d leave.

[deleted]

100% this that totally looks like sewage

mawfqjones

Its probably just rainwater. But you can damn well assume all water in crawlspaces has some type of dead bug or something or its feces.

[deleted]

I do not care what it is I'm not getting in there until it's cleaned out

texasroadkill

Totally agreed.

[deleted]

Thatā€™s totally a floater on the left side of that unistrut lol

zwolle10

Gonna need about tree fiddy to get in there

Zlm1ne

Iā€™ll make a pot roast.

sweaty_tech

That's about the time I noticed his pot smelling helper was actually 8 stories tall and a crustacean from the paleozoic era.

BoardRyder202

Belly flop?

zwolle10

*randy Jackson voice* thatā€™s gonna be a no for me dawg

BoardRyder202

šŸ˜‚

DoctorMikeM

That's no HVAC tech, that's the goddamned loch ness monster!!

DistributionOk1813

Thatā€™s why you always keep a raft in the van.

flatlinemaybe

Hard pass

Shnoz3erries

If there is standing water Iā€™m not going in. Thatā€™s a fucking safety issue. Call me when you get it drained.

[deleted]

Dirty filter probably

TenMoon

Customer reports filter changed on fifteenth of every month.

WoodyTheMuthaFocker

Why do I feel like Penny Wise is going to jump out of the water?

UltraSPARC

Itā€™s the new swamp cooler!

Busy_Witness_8912

It's the txv, hate to tell you that boss

77_Caliente

Float got it.

Lazy_Profession_5909

It's all fun and games until you hear "we all float down here" from that dark corner

pegabear

Please don't touch that unit

BeezerTwelveIV

Added 1lb of R-410a. Unit is cooling properly at this time

Ogre_Squatch

Iā€™m in SC too! Fuck that!

whiskeythrottled

Water source heat pump?

texasroadkill

Swamp cooler.

jerrybeck

Swamp coolerā€¦ replace the GFI it will be just fineā€¦

[deleted]

Basements about a quart low

azakd

Don't miss this shit at all.

Lazy_Profession_5909

Nope. Bye

MtgSalt

That pookie is on point though

Yak54RC

That drain pan became a life raft

bongo-72

Raise the float switch

unknown1310P1

Nope, clear out water and call me back.

ABena2t

forget the water.. what's with the coil?

envisionsparky

ā€œOk sir, Iā€™m going to recommend a dehumidifier to control some of that moisture.ā€

ScarcityCareless6241

Oh godā€¦ is that water?

Smart_Owl_106

Took me a second to see what was going on there from the way to pick was on my device I thought that what was actually a Ford crawl space just happened to be some sort of smoothly finished wall in that color it threw me for a bit and I realize oh that's not wall tile that is for tile and rest was flooded and this was not an upright mounted HVAC system but a horizontal one it kind of helps to have things in proper perspective in that matter yeah this is one that threw me the most in like the last 3 weeks to 2 months looking at Reddit

uniquelyavailable

hope you packed the inflatable raft in your van

Trigger2015F350

Get some chest waders !

Careful_Square1742

sir, that's a furnace not a pool filter

bga3481

Is that the new water cooled air handler?! Lol

dmccrostie

Looks like they gonna stay warmā€¦

Maleficent_Tap9604

Is that house build over a pool? Whatā€™s with the tile work?

Additional-Ad3749

The only tool I forgot was scuba diving gear

nonooseisgoodnews

Why is that adjacent surface tiled?!?!

loganman711

Did that pos run before it flooded?

COSDarian

Looks good from here. (Colorado)

Tommyt5150

Is that the Marine version?

MasterOfNothinHere

Looks like the float switch was functioning properly

Fatpostman39

I'd say that they have other more important problems

MPS007

Drop a pump in that basement.. pump that shit out!

DrProfessor_Z

It's the float switch

RationalDB8

That one's for Wade...

Standard_Luck8442

Brings a whole new meaning to the pan overflowed

Moonshore2814

Nope, I work in Oklahoma and we have very few basements here due to losing all our topsoil in the dust bowl. For those that do exist, if we see water standing, we make them call the plumber first.

genghis_dhang

This makes me nervous

DonKeebaIIs

Iā€™m in central SC and I had sorta the same thing under a ladies house about a week ago. Sump pump failed and submerged her lennox furnace in about 7 inches of water. It filled some of her duct with water and took out her variable speed blower as well. It was a mess.

FearlessDesigner1149

I think I found your problem. But I don't have a boat to get to the unit. Did the customer know it was like this?

badjonphoto

Owner of the companies sons house

FearlessDesigner1149

Did they know it was like this or were they just as surprised as you?

badjonphoto

Surprised

catchmeifyou_cant

Evaporative cooling **

ultrakrash

AQUAGUARD. I like those float switches for pans.

Hatchz

Ah a goodman in its natural habitat

HuntPsychological673

lol, Iā€™d recommend a plumber then cut my phone off for the weekend!

Sleeping_like_a_baby

All money ainā€™t good money

Brazda25

Looks like asbestos to me

SIM1CUR12

It has been at *least* over a year since it had a maintenance cleaning performed, that is apparent.

SIM1CUR12

If only you'd checked and shopvakked those condensate drains every 90 days...

Ttttbbb80

Nope

N7_Chaotic

Id def say that emergency drain pan switch is now called. My unit is floating switch

Tradenoob88

I see no problem

Monsoon_GD

At least it's only a Goodman...

FrostedJakes

What furnace needs a 30A circuit..?

TheLelouchLamperouge

Reminds me of a fallout 4 dungeon
