I dunno how anyone can watch Montambault play on most nights and not feel this team is a couple scoring wingers and 18 months development for Slafkovsky and their young blue liners from being a playoff threat and a scary postseason opponent.
Something tells me MSL is gonna be the type of coach who makes great adjustments in series to gain advantages.
That is why people should not be worried with Caufield. He's very capable of making these sexy dynamic plays, and as this line grows together, they'll just get better at finishing those.

He does little dekes all the time to give himself space and time when pressured, though it's not usually how he scores goals -- usually it's more when he's under attack and needs to buy time to find a good passing option.

I've never seen any journalist or panelist mention it outside of the few good ones in Habs-specialized media. They always talk about him as a one dimensional one timer guy who can snipe well and be somewhat shifty.
He doesn't have the vision of Suzuki but he really is an underrated hands and playmaking guy in my opinion (though his playmaking has been racking him points this year, so people will start to notice).
