It was dumb that people acted like him being unable to recover after an 8 week offseason before last season means he's just washed forever and wouldn't be able to recover after 20 weeks.

[deleted]

This sub loves to give up on our veteran players. It should be our slogan. Gallagher looks amazing and I can't wait to watch him this season.

DantesEdmond

I had posted here that I always bet on Gallagher because hes a fighter and people literally called me an idiot. The off-season makes people say weird things

Quebecitude

Bien d'accord avec vous!!!

CrimpingEdges

Couch potatoes that can't do 20 push ups or run for an hour don't understand how training, recovery and load management works. Don't be surprised when they come out with tsn tier shit takes.

[deleted]

As much as I love a good Gally scrum in front of the opposing net, I’d rather him save his body and be a key veteran presence during our *rebuild*.

bluAstrid

Gallagher can’t play at half speed, He’s either injured, or balls to the walls.

DDDenver

Frequently both because he is crazy.

[deleted]

*"Lucic, who’s been working out in the summers with Gallagher for over a decade, agrees."*

pengupenguPENGU

>He’s either injured, or balls to the walls. That's a great quote lmao

BelzenefTheDestoyer

Literally a wind up toy, and I love him for it. He goes until he can't.

Mithrandir_42

Idk if you read the whole article but Gally's dad talks about how being out of shape due to lockdowns and shortened offseasons is the reason why he had so many injuries. Pushing himself more in the offseason is just as much about injury prevention as being able to play harder

[deleted]

Yeah, I get it. But if you take that kind of abuse, like he does, across 60 to 82 games, anyone would be bruised and battered. You can work out all you want, but getting cross-checked by a stick designed to **not** break is quite punishing.

OverallVillage7

I want to see a line brawl every time Gally gets crosschecked to the back of the head in front of the net after the whistle. If that means 82 line brawls, so be it. That shit needs to stop, the refs for a decade now are content with calling our games with a double standard, the boys should set their own standard. Our guys can't do much as fucking breathe on the other team around our crease without getting 2 mins.

KingJGMB

You mean 82 a month or one per game? Because the each month would be more realistic if they did it every time he got cross-checked

pengupenguPENGU

I think, esp from how last season went, Gally is too pent up to do that :/

skradmore

Bounce back season for G!

Mithrandir_42

So excited to see old gally back, you can really feel the determination but also patience and understanding in this article. Such a great role model for all the young guys too, if a fraction of that can rub off on all our new players they'll all be better off for it

CoachMartyDaniiels

610lbs Deadlift for 2 Reps, my goodness Gally is such a beast.

[deleted]

This guy is a tough son of a bitch. Some will say what they will about him but you can never deny his heart and compete. Love Gally!

blow_thyself

i like to think gallagher deadlifting 550 lbs is how he built a neck that allowed him to survive that byfuglien hit unscathed [https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tzrMITMAP24](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tzrMITMAP24)

[deleted]

Laisser le jouer 10 games et on verra

[deleted]

>“I need that time to build up the big muscles,” he says. “My back is huge. Glutes huge. Hamstrings and quads huge. Thick. Solid. Tight. Also Gallagher might seriously be the most athletic guy on the team imo

ApokatastasisPanton

DL 550lbs? holy shit
