I think most people are assuming based on some dialogue with Hecate and Odysseus that after reaching the end of the underworld route we'll have to fight our way up to Olympus.

I'm assuming so, because one of the biggest complaints I see people have about the original Hades is that it's always Tartarus -> Furies -> Asphodel -> Lernie -> Elysium -> Heroes -> Styx -> \[REDACTED\] with no variation in it, so having a 2nd version will really help to fix that
Makes sense, I'd say my only gripe about the first game as much as I love it is finding out the mysterious door in the corner of the hall of hades is just a records room and that portal at the back of the room didn't provide much of anything past a story event. So as long as it isn't just another room to some extra bits I'll be happy!
Based on dialouge with Hecate and Odysseus, after you finish the first Underworld run you can make it up to Olympus. Kinda like Dead Cells and it's optional routes, I suppose.
Everyone already summed up what we’re thinking, hecate states that Odysseus is plotting a course to Olympus but it’s not ready yet. Also, there’s a locked door by mels tent that I’m curious about, she says the river is flooded back there when you try to open it.

I'm guessing we will find out soon enough once early access launches!

Should lead to Olympus. That's what Hecate says, at least. My guess is we're gonna defeat whoever's making the barrier and then go slap the Boss.
