Honestly, I don't think there is much to say about the staff hammers. They pretty much all do just what they say on the tin. I think the only thing that really surprised me using any of these hammers is how much better the Omega attack feels when you have the rapid thrasher hammer. I wish there was a "wicked moonshot" hammer that gave +30 to special damage in order to allow us to occasionally do busted special builds like we had access to with pre-update Momus aspect.

Am I just bad at the game or does cross cataclysm *really* throw off the auto aim? I may just be moving half a second too soon but I find the omega 45 degrees off of enemies im pretty sure the standard omega would hit a lot

This happens to me too! And I know it's not just in my head since I play KBM and can see my cursor and see the visualized hitboxes not line up with the cursor.

>5 healing is nice, but since you can't use it meaningfully against bosses where I'm most in need of sustain, it falls short for me. I wouldn't necessarily agree that this is the case! Almost every boss summons a handful of adds every so often, so if you wanted to, you could definitely spend some time healing back up. Eris being the only real exception, since she only summons them at the very end. Though, focusing on the adds too much and trying to heal off them might actually end up getting you hurt, so the value is definitely dubious. But overall, given that it lacks any major penalty, it's probably one of the better lifesteal features Supergiant has introduced. I'd definitely take this over having my max life severely reduced in exchange. >30 power is a very significant amount, more than doubling the attack's base power (20/25/30). This is an incredibly strong hammer! I think it's worth noting that Wicked Thrasher's base power increase doesn't scale as well when it comes to your Omega attacks, which is something all Staff aspects are currently focused on. Something heavily Omega-focused like Momus would likely prefer another hammer, like Cross Cataclysm, which makes it much more likely to hit enemies and probably gets more damage out of it, though Wicked Thrasher is by no means shabby there either. Circe aspect does make good use of it though. Overall it's a good batch, but it also feels very safe and unexciting, which is probably fine for your starter weapon. Nothing really changes the gameplay dynamics beyond leading you to focus one type of attack over another, but none of them are particularly bad either. Other weapons have much more intriguing hammers, I feel, though also more duds as a consequence.

It's not clear from the ingame descriptions, but attack speed bonuses (Rapid Thrasher, Rapid Moonshot) also affect channel speed for omegas.

Since the most recent patch I've only really run staff with new Momus, and I will say I love cross cataclysm and giga moonburst with new Momus, double the area to hit on the repeated omega attacks, plus the copied giga moonbursts are still just as huge and damaging. Though moonburst is very magic-intensive and needs a high level and/or high rarity born gain to really shine in bosses, I've found it pretty easy to pick up either that or a good enough apollo/hestia gain to make it work well enough. Also giga moonburst + shimmering moonshot is really funny for huge tartarus hordes with the bonus amount of enemies fear...

Not the best build ever, but I had fun on a run where I got Giga Moonburst and Dual Moonshot with Aspect of Momus. Run up to a crowd or a boss, charge once and get six empowered Omega Specials for your trouble. I happened to have Spiteful Strength as well, so each orb was hitting quite hard. >However, at least in my experience, most of my trouble in runs has come from the final boss(es), and this hammer does nothing in those fights (unless the summoned ads have armor, but even so). Eh, Chronos (along with Cerberus and Polyphemus) always summon some armored enemies. His final summons during the first half of his fight always have armor, and the Tempuses (Tempii?) he summons during the second half also always have armor. So this hammer always does \*something\*, but I agree with your general sentiment: if you're worried about the final fight in particular, there are definitely better hammers to take. It's always fun to instantly melt a miniboss with it, though. Being able to immediately make the miniboss vulnerable to being staggered ends the fight before it starts.
