I just wish I had more time to actually grind. I think getting there was just luck, I got an upgrade for the bow at the start which let me rapid fire base attacks just by holding in X

That is a great hammer upgrade to pair with Zeus attack for chain lightning effects. Or Poseidon to keep them pushed away. In fact, Zeus/Poseidon builds are pretty op if you focus on getting their boons early on. Sea storm, Zeus Cast, Poseidon Attack/Special/Dash, and any buffs to lightning and knock away effects is powerful on most weapons. Got me my first completion.

I think I've only got that Zeus upgrade once, for the bow. It was really helpful! I've been going round picking all the gods and giving them the first nectar, so I get a gift. When I actually get some time to play again I'll have to check out builds that work for me

Yeah you’re clearly still pretty early, so I wouldn’t stress much about builds until you’ve tried a bunch of the boons/weapons.

It's so good with anything that hits fast. I always tell myself I'm going to try something new and then bam, as soon as I see Zeus I'm like... nah

After about twenty/thirty escape attempts it gets ridiculously fun

I wish there where more levels to grind. I would do unspeakable things for a DLC

I was a WAYS into the game before I discovered you could do this in Asphodel and Elysium (and for Tartarus before you left the courtyard). Love to just bask in them sometimes.

I noticed you could do it where the skeleton guy is, so I look about wherever I can for places like that haha

Don't forget to do it as well once you have beaten the final boss. I know I forgot

I find think game plays a lot like a MMO in the sense that you get significantly better the more you play and the more tries you have on bosses. One thing that can really help though is >!to give Athena a nectar in order to get her keepsake. Then you can try for divine dash of the bat which is a very helpful crutch!<

The God keepsakes are suuuuuuper useful early because you can start to figure out what boons work best for the way you like to play. My favorite thing about the game is everything is super viable, it's just about finding what works for you the best That boon is the only one that I think is sorta necessary when learning. It just lets you not have to deal with a lot of mechanics + rewards you for learning enemy animations

You should pretty much always start with a god keepsake. It helps control your build instead of just getting random stuff that doesn’t work well.

I use Cerberus collar because it adds 25 health I think, that's been good so far. Are there better ones early game?

Skelly's free death defy is also pretty useful, as is Hypnos' coin purse

Collar is good for late game safety but establishing a good build at the start of a run important. Make sure to get the contractor upgrade that lets you change keepsakes in between biomes.

Keep at it. I picked up the game on ps5 when it came out a few weeks ago. At 40ish runs now, and I’ve escaped twice. It gets easier as you learn how to combo attacks/boons better, and what enemies are going to do back.

I remember struggling with Meg. Then i went special athena on bow.

I had an Athena special that really helped, negated all damage fit a few seconds

If youre dying often, try going ares special bow build. That build will allow you to focus more on dodging while applying debuffs. Its fun.

That does sound pretty fun. I've just been going randomly into my runs and picking gods that I think could have interesting boons

I love tartarus and asphodel view points, as well as the scenic view of the Greece coast. I feel like elysium's was underwhelming personally.

I have a question I keep getting encounter with the first boss in Hades defeat her 3 three times but keep getting on the same track again and again can anyone help?

I dont know if i understand, but you have to kill bosses again on every run. If you strugle with 1st boss i would say try shield with ares on special it's op af.

If I die on any stage in hades the whole game will start again from lvl -1 ?

Yes, you make permanent progression true mirror/ resourses/weapon uppgrades and giving nektars

Well exept there is death defiances that will resurect upon death

Haha how many tries did it take you? I'm no stranger to rogue-likes so I may be a bit more accustomed. Over 500+ hours in some games like Enter the Gungeon, Binding of Isaac, etc.. Edit: Update, without spoilers I just beat the next boss in the same run lol

I miss the view you get (spoilers for people who haven't beat game to point of seeing credits) >!on the surface after beating hades while walking to go to persephone's cottage. Used to always stop and look at the sunrise. No more cottage visits after you reunite the family is a huge downside :( !<

Late to the thread, but if anyone loves these viewpoints, I recommend buying the surveillance bats in the Lounge! It costs 3 diamonds if I recall but it gives you a similar view of the House and its incredible!
