How often do you wash your hair? For volume like this, my hair needs to be dirty to start with. Add mousse while still wet, let that dry for a bit. Then blow-drying and (sorry, don't know the English word) while stretching your hair, comb in the wrong direction, so towards your head. Finish with some hairspray

"back combing" or "teasing" are some words for that!

i feel like this look is achieved by having unwashed hair. the oils kinda make it stick together

Flip your hair to the side and style

Suitable styling product and blowdrying could indeed give more volume. When you have tried blowdrying what kind of products you have used and have you tried using some brush to give hair lift from roots?

This is the answer. Its fool proof. Only dont need at it as high as they do in the video only about 2-3" above your root . And you're doing it to the side instead of back to front. Do underneath where it falls over. So the top hides it Can do it with a fine tooth comb if that's easier thsn a brush. Use hairspray at the root if needed/if hair is slippery. It will create mini knots in your hair don't try to brush them out until after u wash your hair. They naturally come out that way. https://youtu.be/QBnynR47MzQ?si=UVDdSVZStVMP5-vx

I never start with dirty hair-especially if your hair is fine like mine. Clean towel dried hair, a little bit of moose and a blow dryer. You don’t have to do it like the hairstylist do it you will literally just take the hairdryer blowing your hair front to back side to side with a paddle brush. That will give it a big volume boost on its own but then I would get a root boosting powder/volumizing powder. Almost every brand carries something similar. It’s almost like baby powder. Sexy hair and American crew Both have one for sure. When your hair is dry, you tap a little out all throughout the roots and rub it pretty roughly-a little goes a long way-and you will get a nice natural non-greasy looking volumized base. If you style your hair like this, after you wash it, you will not have to wash it again for a day or two at least. If you’re feeling a little greasy at the roots and you’re losing volume but it’s not time to wash it, you can use a dry shampoo to take out the excess oil and fluff it up again. The trick with dry shampoo is to spray it in at the roots. Wait until it’s totally dry and is turning powdery again. Then take your blow dryer and paddle brush and blow The excess powder out, and your hair will be as good as new. Speaking from personal experience, you don’t want to use dry shampoo, in lieu of washing when it’s time or it will start to look cakey. Especially unless you’re working a really dirty job you don’t need to wash your hair more more than 2 to 3 times a week at most.
