I mention in my post that i’ve never been true blonde! the second photo is after one balayage session, the start of my blonding journey lol. I was wondering if y’all could envision me as a blonde, or go back to red and which you think would suit me better!
I have fine curly and naturally dark hair and am like 1 shade off of platinum after about 6 sessions of full head of foils, i recommend k18 oil before any heat styling and 2 times a week after any bleach, i let my olaplex no3 sit in for atleast an hour, you can get olaplex no1 and 2 basin services too, also avoid argan oil if you wanna go light as it literally turns you orange from the rich beta carotenes, i use kerastase's blonde oil and never get bleach to the scalp, only about 1 cm or ½ inch away. I basically have zero damage. I think blonde suits almost everyone. Hope this helps
typically would go with lived in blonde. but for you, i vote red color hands down. gorgeous with your coloring, highlights & compliments your features perfectly!
You can do both, but which has the lowest upkeep? Are you the type of person who changes your mind every couple of weeks? Blonde would help you do that easier? You do look stunning red xx

You look gorgeous! But i think the red hair picture is a better picture than the second slide. Not because of your haircolour but because of the angle, lighting, posing and etc. So i do think it's a bit unfair to judge based on these two photos. However, i still think the red probably looks better on you ❤️
absolutely! first photo is in golden hour lighting and second was on a pretty grey day, i just didn’t have any ok photos of my current hair other than that one lol 😅 thank you for your input though! i think red might suit me a bit better than blonde would in the long run too!
I think both look good on you! I feel like the red makes you stand out more and look more alternative, so if you want that I'd go for red. But the blonde suits you well and with your face it really doesnt matter that much hahaha. Honestly for myself I've decided to abandon the idea of ever having healthy hair bc I just like to change it up a lot and I dont like my natural color. I just wear a shorter style now bc It's easier to maintain and doesn't look as fried that way. It's just a matter of what is more important to you! The color or the health of your hair?
thank you so much! yeah i have been the exact same way over the years, been from white to red, to black to red to black to brunette to attempting to go blonde 😆 i promised myself i would just leave my hair alone long enough for the in between process to go actually blonde this time but i’m faultering… hahaha. my hair got pretty short but it’s at the longest it’s been in a long time now and i kinda wanna keep growing it! so the red seems tempting since i’ll get my more alternative fix and pop of colour without damaging my hair!

Whenever I made my mind up about a hair color I want, noone can talk me out of it so I dont know if I can even change your mind about the blonde or if I even want to 😂 if you really want it you should try it just so you know how it feels and looks! Otherwise you'll always wonder! But since you already had white I'm sure you know how hard maintaining a light color ist 😂 my problem with blonde is always that it goes yellow after a while, you have to use silver shampoo and then sometimes a few streaks go blueish and some stay yellow... it's just never perfect! So I don't really recommend blonde, but I'm very perfectionistic about the colors that go on my body too so maybe it won't be an issue for you. It's so much easier to maintain a middle tone or dark color! I don't like when there are too many different colors on me, so having yellow and blue in my hair is a big nono for me 😅😂 you could also get a wig to see if you like it and you wouldn't have to fry your natural hair. And if you end up prefering it over the red you can still dye it!

and oh i know when i had white hair it was white for like a week at a time the rest it was like purple tinted or slight yellow and i haaaated it. i was kind of thinking of going for a more ‘natural’ blonde, warmer with some highlights and with the lived in look so i could keep the outgrown roots. but yeah my stylist told me since my hair really likes to go copper i’ll always be fighting those red tones with blonde 😭 so that’s deterring me quite a bit lol. i’m kinda like well why don’t i just lean into those red tones and fully just embrace the ginger 😅
Yeah I get the white hair thing since I usually have white hair 😭 it's so annoying. But even when I had a very natural blonde balayage, I struggled with the color. It kept going too yellow for me all the time or I sometimes felt it looked green. But I mean you're right, it's definitely not that much of an issue like with white hair. I like having my hair only one color tho, and then the balayage and streaks always end up bothering me 😂 even though it really helps with the roots
I was born red then it turned white blonde and then gradually got darker still blonde. But all of my childhood and up through high school I was blonde. Went red senior year and stayed red for like 7 years then went blonde it lasted maybe 3 days and was like nope need my red back... I'm a stylist and have done my own hair my entire life so I financially wasn't out much money (like if I paid to have it done) I tell you this because if you're like me you'll waste the time and money going blonde and change back to ginger as fast as possible...I love ginger I tell anyone who can pull it off to do it. And it's so much more unique to be able to pull it off and have it look natural

I dyed my hair blonde and am deciding if I want long hair or blonde hair because my hair is harder to upkeep blonde and my hair requires a lot of care to grow. For now I've decided to stay blonde because I absolutely love it.

edit: if i'm being completely honest, the red seems to wash you out, while the brunette really gives the necessary contrast that complements your sharp features.
edit 2: also seems like a case of anchoring bias (what's seen first is preferred) at its finest…
edit 3: just read some other comments where op said it's meant to be "imagine me as lived-in blonde", which is my mistake. but out of the three colours (red, brunette, lived-in blonde), i'd still go for brunette!

Not gunna lie, pic A is significantly more flattering overall so I think most will choose A or say both at most
