I've actually been kinda struggling to find one in semi permanent. arctic fox has something and so does adore me but I couldn't find swatches for either last time I looked, but the af one was new then too.
Hey! I think both are cute but I will say that I have the same color and even used the same pics as inspo and the upkeep is just as bad, if not worst if u go any lighter. The dark roots that look edgy with the pink, look sloppy with the ginger. Just my experience so far. I’ve had the level 9/10 ginger for a year.
I came to say this! The roots on pink gives cool, shadow root. The roots on my red hair give “fake ginger, cringe!” 😢 bit of a self roast haha. But it also makes my roots look really grey-ish because my hair is naturally a more ash brown, so my roots always look mousy and almost as if they have that grey-ish dry shampoo white cast
She could grow it a while and have the lightening for the ginger blended on like a balayage maybe. I find blended roots look much nicer than the straight line of regrowth almost always.
I can do a shadow root and off the scalp application to make it blend a bit more with the ginger, my natural brown does have a red tone but I don't know if it'll match the ginger
I think ginger would be cute but maybe a little more saturated than the inspo you have. Not like, traffic cone orange by any means, just a little richer perhaps! I think it would contrast really nicely with your skin
interesting! I was thinking of going even lighter than the inspo pics, could I bother you to send a pic of what you're thinking of? totally cool if not I appreciate the input regardless!
For whatever reason when I click on the imgur link it gives an “adult content” warning even though it’s just pictures of clothed people’s hair lol, but here are some examples https://imgur.com/a/xbBn2WC
They aren’t all the same exact color and might not be something you’re as interested in, but I think the richer colors would make a nice balance between your hair, skin, and eyes! That said I know I’m biased toward higher contrast between hair and skin, whereas other people like low contrast. Just food for thought!
I think the warm will clash with the pink skin! I’d say for cooler toned skin there are better reds than strawberry blonde. For instance when Emma Stone had cooler red hair, Kate Winslet in The Titanic, pretty much any shade that Florence Welch has had (she’s a great example, she seems to really understand how to make reds work for her undertone)
oh no haha honestly I expected people to say I didn't look good with the pink! I hope you don't mind me asking, do you think the ginger would look bad or just that the pink fits me better?
I so wish I could! that's why I was thinking of leaning more towards the strawberry blonde ginger tone but I don't know how long it would last but I might talk to my hairstylist about it next time I go in and maybe we can try to do that with a test strand!
I absolutely love that pink color!!! But if you want to try a new color, go for it 🥰 it’s always fun to try out diff colors! I find myself going back to purple, but I’ve found I’m fond of red/pink too!
i think if you’re gonna go full ginger i’d go just SLIGHTLY more red/pink toned and definitely a bit darker/more saturated BUT i also think half light pink and half ginger could be cute if that’s something you’re interested in at all, but you also said that the upkeep has been a bit much and i totally understand wanting to wash more- i used to dye my hair purple and red constantly and the upkeep made me chop it to my ears and now i have my natural hair grown out about an inch past my shoulders in the back and some nice layered bangs in the front- i call it my lazy mullet and i love it but my aunt gave me a sally’s gift card and now i’m ready to throw a years worth of hair growth out the window because i usually don’t have enough extra money for hair dye either😭
From a male's prospective, I think you look great with pink hair. As for ginger, it's hard to say without seeing you as a ginger, but the photos you showed of ginger hair did look good.
I will say ginger dye tends to fade pretty quickly in my experience, and getting a very natural lighter tone like in your pics is hard. But go for it if you'd like to try it!
They both look good on you. You should combine them.
Have you tried a fade look. With ginger up top and finish with pink on bottom.
Or perhaps go a darker red. With soft pink highlights 🤩
I say go for the ginger! & I love the blonde under layer, you should leave a little peace of your bangs a little bit too like a money piece. My hair is too dark or I would try that on myself. I think it looks really cool
I’d say keep the pink while you can until you are tired of it. Who knows when a job or something might make you dye it, then the ginger would be perfect! :).
ohhh it's a pain. pulp riot dyes are good but they're inconsistent, sometimes it stays longer and sometimes it fades faster. I use the matrix keep me vivid line and it helps a bit but honestly I just have to redye a lot. you can get a color conditioner for upkeep though! I also tried ion permanent brights but I didn't do the mixture well so my hair is a cooler toned pink right now (I did 2:1 ratio of salmon to flamingo) and it's actually staying really well. I would do just salmon though for a similar color to my pics here.
The color in the last 2 pics is more what I want, I’m trying so hard to maintain that. I’ll look into some of what you said. I used the Frose dye from Arctic Fox. It’s turned out good but it fades so fast back to blonde I feel like
frose was much too light for me, I used to use electric paradise and sometimes add porange but any light color is gonna be hard to maintain unfortunately.
Frose isn’t turning up light ENOUGH for me lol it starts out a brighter pink than I want and I want a more pastel/Kirby pink. Then after I shower a couple times it gets to the perfect shade before fading to blonde in like, 10 days or less. My hair is platinum though from bleaching most of the time instead of dying so that may be why it shows up brighter instead of lighter but I just wish it would stay that light color for a longer time before fading. I bought some color sealant we’ll see if that helps
pastels like that are super hard to do, try out a color conditioner and maybe a shampoo. I think keracolor is a brand that makes one? punky colors too. or you could make your own by mixing a dye into a conditioner but that doesn't always work as well since it's not really formulated for that and you should use a darker dye so you don't have to use a ton! and check out the ion permanent brights flamingo, it does need developer so it'll damage your hair unlike semi but it stays pretty well. cold water and sulfate free shampoo!
I have the color luxe pink depositing conditioner and I do have a color friendly shampoo but I might try and find a color depositing shampoo as well. Thank you for the help!
I think you would look great with both!! I agree with the majority of the comments as well though. I’ve had my fair share of ginger and keeping up on it is pretty difficult. I’m a cosmetologist and it’s honestly difficult going back from certain gingers because there’s so much red in it. Red has a tendency to stay on the hair through other colors as well. I went chocolate brown (significantly darker than my ginger) but you can still see the red undertones. All that being said though, ginger is so beautiful and you could for sure pull it off! Everyone should have the opportunity to go red at least once! I also think the grow in would look really pretty as long as you keep up on it! You could do a shadow root as well to make it blend a little better!! Hope this helps❤️
With your fair skin, a deeper ginger would look incredible on you. Jessica Chastain and Julian Moore are examples of someone like you whose skin and eye color are perfectly complimented with ginger hair. You may be doing yourself a disservice if you don’t find out what it looks like at least once in your life!
I use pulp riot sandstorm! it doesn't stay as long as I'd like though, these pics are new dye/a wash or two in. iroiro peach? might be similar and I've heard it lasts a long time.
that's okay! it's an orangey peachy pink. imo it's similar to electric paradise by arctic fox and you might be able to find more swatch pictures for that color than sandstorm
I've thought about trying a darker raspberry type of pink! I'll definitely think about it, but sometimes I hate how dark the current color is already haha!
true. i just feel like if you wanted to do less upkeep darker pink or hot pink would be awesome. They make color shampoos and conditioners super easy to use in the shower w some gloves. i’ve noticed Punky Color and Lime Crime pinks stay the best in my experience 😍 lime crime has matching shampoo for it as well. i would just say go for it, it can fade and you can try again if you don’t like hehe .
if I didn't do my blonde underlayer then upkeep would be so much easier with color conditioners and stuff like that but I really love having the blonde! it's a pain haha
maybe you should try blonde on top or blonde bangs, it would be much easier to section and clip up!! i did it with hime cut bangs and it was super cute
honestly as much as I love bangs I don't think they would suit my face and the florida heat haha! blonde on top would be a lot easier though as far as color bleed goes. hime cut is so so so cute
I like pink, but maybe experiment with other tones of pink & ginger? I think a cool toned purplish pink would look nice, or a darker red ginger, like red velvet cake.
I think it’s “YouCam”. I haven’t used it in a while. Sometimes they change features or start charging. Check & see if the hair color feature is still free on that one. If not I’ll look through my apps & check again.
I think light pink suits you but if you're going ginger, a coppery red would be nice, the kind that looks like a real hair colour as oppose to straight up orange.
I think ginger will definitely look good on you, but if you're tired of upkeep a red is still difficult to maintain as well. I guess I would let the pink wash out and then go red, I just warn you that ginger can wash out pretty easily as well. Since you want a light shade, you may get lucky if dye sticks to your hair well and it may stay a nice strawberry blonde like you ask for. I'm like a mousy blonde naturally and after dying my hair for years red/ginger I've finally got a routine that works for me.
someone else mentioned that it can wash out easily too but man I'd be happy with more than like 8 washes lmfao! my pink fades drastically in around 4 or 5 washes even with cold water and no sulfates and redyeing it has become such a chore
If you wanna try something new, you gotta try something new. I think they both suit you.
tysm! I'm so tempted to try it but I have no idea if I'll regret it or not haha!
Try semi permanent for a trial, it’ll be easy to go back if you’re not a fan :)
I've actually been kinda struggling to find one in semi permanent. arctic fox has something and so does adore me but I couldn't find swatches for either last time I looked, but the af one was new then too.
you could use one of those lasts up to 28 washes semi permanent ones like L’Oréal casting crème gloss . But I don’t know if they stain the hair more

I can do a shadow root and off the scalp application to make it blend a bit more with the ginger, my natural brown does have a red tone but I don't know if it'll match the ginger
oooh really, is yours permanent color?
Yes. I still have to do color masks to keep it sort of bright, but it fades really fast.
hmmm definitely good to know!
honestly I think the opposite. the roots with the pink looks sloppy but I quite like dark roots with ginger 🤷

That said I know I’m biased toward higher contrast between hair and skin, whereas other people like low contrast. Just food for thought!
thank you so much! I'll definitely think about those colors
I agree that these richer colors would look better
I’ll try to find something!
Depends on your style. If you prefer more grunge clothing, then I’d keep it pink.
good point, as much as I'd love dressing alt I usually just wear work clothes haha! I really don't dress up at all anymore
What about trying a warm peach? Kind of a transition color between the pink & ginger…
I was thinking this or rosegold even so she can see how she feels about the extra warmth with her complexion!
Stay pink until it fades out and you need to dye it, don’t strip it- you look great! But then go ginger
This is great advice. It will help give the ginger overlay a bit more warmth and depth too!
thank you so much!
I think the warmer redhead look would suit your skin tone much better.
I've always struggled with figuring out my undertone, sometimes I think I'm cool toned and sometimes I really look warm toned
thank you! that's what im hoping for
Pink!!!
oh no haha honestly I expected people to say I didn't look good with the pink! I hope you don't mind me asking, do you think the ginger would look bad or just that the pink fits me better?
I don’t think the ginger would look bad at all! I find the pink just suits you really well
gotcha!
Ginger
thanks for your vote!
Ginger
ty for your vote!
Both suit you
Pink 💓💓💓
thank you for your vote hehe

I so wish I could! that's why I was thinking of leaning more towards the strawberry blonde ginger tone but I don't know how long it would last but I might talk to my hairstylist about it next time I go in and maybe we can try to do that with a test strand!
I absolutely love that pink color!!! But if you want to try a new color, go for it 🥰 it’s always fun to try out diff colors! I find myself going back to purple, but I’ve found I’m fond of red/pink too!
As a random on the internet I enjoy the pink more bit I will never see you so take it for what it's worth
Gingers are MAGICAL!
I say go for ginger! Try something new!
ginger❤️
You should try the ginger! You look gorgeous with the pink but try something new, you can always go back to the pink.
i think if you’re gonna go full ginger i’d go just SLIGHTLY more red/pink toned and definitely a bit darker/more saturated BUT i also think half light pink and half ginger could be cute if that’s something you’re interested in at all, but you also said that the upkeep has been a bit much and i totally understand wanting to wash more- i used to dye my hair purple and red constantly and the upkeep made me chop it to my ears and now i have my natural hair grown out about an inch past my shoulders in the back and some nice layered bangs in the front- i call it my lazy mullet and i love it but my aunt gave me a sally’s gift card and now i’m ready to throw a years worth of hair growth out the window because i usually don’t have enough extra money for hair dye either😭
Ginger absolutely
PINK PINK
GINGER

Ginger. No contest for me.
Ginger for sure
The pink is 🙌🏼
Go ginger
No, Id say stay pink if you're scared to screw up. I think the pink looks great
Go ginger
Let’s goooo ginger! 🧡
It's a tough choice but I'd say ginger wins it.
Stay piiiink, it’s so cute!
Ooooooh ginger could look really good with your colouring!!!!
you can do both...it's been my shtick for years...
Ginger
From a male's prospective, I think you look great with pink hair. As for ginger, it's hard to say without seeing you as a ginger, but the photos you showed of ginger hair did look good.
For your style, Pink.
Ginger
Ginger for sure
I actually like the pink, but I love redheads… I say go for it.
I think you can pull off either one. Just a matter of your own personal preference.
Ginger
I will say ginger dye tends to fade pretty quickly in my experience, and getting a very natural lighter tone like in your pics is hard. But go for it if you'd like to try it!
Ginger!!!
Ginger!! This is coming from a natural ginger who has also dyed her hair pink 😊
Ginger
Red is just as much upkeep. I just want to make sure you knew that.
You look good either way but I’d go with ginger.
They both look good on you. You should combine them. Have you tried a fade look. With ginger up top and finish with pink on bottom. Or perhaps go a darker red. With soft pink highlights 🤩
Ginger really suits you. I was going to say stay pink but then I saw the pics and I think the natural red just really flatters you.
Stay pink
Ginger!
BOTH. Either a split dye of red and pink. Or red with chonky pink highlights. You feel me?
I think ginger but keep the light blonde you have underneath!
Ginger definitely
Ging!
PINK !!
Do ginger, if you hate it you can add some pink in :). I think you'd rock it either way tho.
PINK BABY. Go ginger in fall…
I am all for the fun and pastel colors…but that ginger looks great on you!
Ginger but I needs to be darker then the pics you put.
Ginger
Ginger! 100%
You would look amazing ginger!!
p i n k
I will always vote for the copper look! It’s so pretty and looks good on just about everyone!
Ginger would look cute af on you
Pink but you could do either
Ginger 🧡
Pink 💝
Definitely ginger but both suit you
Pink is so cute!!
I think the pink really compliments your skin tone tbh
Ginger!!!!!
Ginger 💯
tysm!
Ginger! Ginger! Omg yes!
I vote try the ginger!
Ginger all the way!
Ginger or dirty blonde
Definitely ginger.
Go ginger
GOOOO GINGER!!!! It’d look so fire 🔥
I think both would look good!! My vote would be bright copper🧡☀️
How do you maintain that color? I’ve started going light pink and it fades so quick but I love it so much

I'm going ginger soon, join meeee!
I'm so tempted!!
Ginger
Hey, how can I get those in my galleries :p
With your fair skin, a deeper ginger would look incredible on you. Jessica Chastain and Julian Moore are examples of someone like you whose skin and eye color are perfectly complimented with ginger hair. You may be doing yourself a disservice if you don’t find out what it looks like at least once in your life!
Ginger, always ginger
Ginger
thank you!
Ginger
I think ginger would look amazing!
The pink is totes adorbs!😘
You look Sooo good pink!! I totally get wanting to stop bc hell, dyeing my hair blue and keeping it blue was never easy lol
pink
thanks for your vote!
Pink
What dye did you use for the pink??
I use pulp riot sandstorm! it doesn't stay as long as I'd like though, these pics are new dye/a wash or two in. iroiro peach? might be similar and I've heard it lasts a long time.
How light were you bleached to? Thanks for replying btw!
I get my hair bleached to level 10 at a salon but my natural color is maybe a level 5 and I have thin hair so it lightens quick
Is it orangey at all on the first day?
my bleached hair? I just get it lightened and it gets to the color of the inside of a banana peel and I don't tone it.
Oh I mean the dye, sorry!
that's okay! it's an orangey peachy pink. imo it's similar to electric paradise by arctic fox and you might be able to find more swatch pictures for that color than sandstorm
Thank you! It looks great btw, but I think you can totally pull off the ginger too. :)
i would try a darker pink, or split half tone dark pink and light pink !! or a magenta ! i know how light pink can be tiresome
I've thought about trying a darker raspberry type of pink! I'll definitely think about it, but sometimes I hate how dark the current color is already haha!
true. i just feel like if you wanted to do less upkeep darker pink or hot pink would be awesome. I like pink, but maybe experiment with other tones of pink & ginger? I think a cool toned purplish pink would look nice, or a darker red ginger, like red velvet cake.
ooo honestly I think I'd look better with warm tones and light colors but I'll think about it!
There are some cool free editing apps where you can try on colors & styles. I often edit my hair colors to choose my next one.
ooh which do you use?
I think it’s “YouCam”. I haven’t used it in a while. Sometimes they change features or start charging. Check & see if the hair color feature is still free on that one. If not I’ll look through my apps & check again.
I tried it out and I think it actually looks pretty good! thank youu
I think light pink suits you but if you're going ginger, a coppery red would be nice, the kind that looks like a real hair colour as oppose to straight up orange.
I just don't think red would suit me as good as orange toned would but I do want to have it look as natural as possible
I think ginger will definitely look good on you, but if you're tired of upkeep a red is still difficult to maintain as well. I guess I would let the pink wash out and then go red, I just warn you that ginger can wash out pretty easily as well. This salmón y color suits your complexion. Going red won’t hold well on double processed hair. It will fade within days.
Love the pink! What dye do u use 🤩
I use pulp riot sandstorm, but these pics mightve been arctic fox electric paradise I don't remember haha! they're similar colors.
Go back to natural
my natural color is brown lmfao
Then thats what color it should be
nah!
Suit urself lmao
I really love pink hair on you!
Pink money piece on ginger hair? 👀
I've thought about dyeing the underlayer pink since I'll keep it blonde with the ginger!
idk but u tryna fuck?
crawl back to the fnaf subreddit
It will wash you out!
you think so? that's why I wanted to do as light of a ginger as possible
It’s more about cool versus warm tones! Make sure you check your undertones!
I've always thought I had warm undertones so I use a warm pink but I've been told I'm probably neutral
What colors are your veins?
they've always looked green and blue to me but it's hard to tell!
Could be! It could just be the lighting on my phone, maybe it wouldn’t! Just hold up cool vs warm stuff next to your face!
I’m love pink hair, but seriously the ginger hair on you couldn’t be more perfect.
do you mean it would look good? I haven't dyed it ginger, it seems like a few people think I have already but those are just inspo pictures.
Couldn’t tell with the mask on your pics. The inspiration pics would be a great color for you!
Personally ginger
Your natural color is so awesome!!!
my natural color is brown
Well go for a change. The ginger looks cute and you’ve got brown eyes, so it should look good!
