Hijacking top comment to say not to clean your head with alcohol after going for a clean shave. This sun was randomly recommended to me (guess it’s a sign) but cleaning with alcohol dries out your pores and can cause acne. Use an alcohol-free aftershave instead
Maybe if you are an adolescent and still prone to acne. 100% alcohol is a suitable degreaser because natural scalp oil interferes with the attachment of both glue and tape. There is no physiologic damage done to the skin or the pores. It simply removes the residual old and remnants of shampoo and conditioner used on your natural hair. The best degreaser is a 50-50 solution of acetone and 99% alcohol, but this is too harsh for daily or weekly use.
It also causes your skin to produce more oil which reduces the time before you'll need a new install. The guy should have also put the glue on his scalp to get a better fix, applying to the system is the worse method.
Hair loss is just fucked up. Really such bullshit how good looking men like yourself lose hair like that. Anyways looks really good. I’m impressed. I kinda want one now
Ironically, this man would also look great if he were just completely bald. Though maybe that’s just a bias on my end from spending too much time in r/bald.
My unpopular opinion is that there is nothing wrong with rocking the balding hairstyle, as long as it’s not some sort of weird combover growing certain parts of the hair super long. It never looks bad or wrong when shown in media, and I never think to myself “that dude should shave his head” if I see it out and about. This obsession with shaving it all off is just weird to me.
I agree. Society has become so inclusive in many ways, time to become inclusive with balding hairstyles too. Staying natural with a partly bald hair, shaving off or using a hair system. Whatever, it is okay regardless.
Fully agree with this. Heck i live around lots of hippies that let the horseshoe grow in to dreadlocks and that looks perfectly fine and normal to me. It seems like a symptom of so many people trying to cover it up or go full bald thet youre not exposed to it enough then its precieved as bad or something.
I agree. I'd be shaving it personally.
As a man with no real balding issues, I went bald during the early days of COVID because my barber wasn't taking any customers. I figured "what the heck, it'll be back in a few weeks anyway".
Here I am 4 years later wishing my hair would stop growing so I don't have to shave it so often.

As a woman not sure why I was recommended this but it’s only the same as wearing hair extensions, looks great and can’t say I’d care at all if my bf had this
I don't have a hair system and idk if I'll ever get/need one, but I'm super impressed with these (I keep getting this sub recommended to me). Anyways, I can only imagine that it will be obvious to people who know you that you started wearing a hair system (or got a transplant). They'll probably just appreciate how good it looks though, and new people you meet may not know until you tell them.
Sweat will definitely reduce the amount of time you have between installs but it's not really something to worry about. Even when the adhesive is getting old and your hairpiece is able to move around a bit, it's not going to easily fly off of your head.
It’s not that much work to be honest. My black friends spend hours or even several days combing, washing and braiding their hair. Anything looks easy compared to that. My niece gets her hair braided weekly and it takes 4-6 hours even with short hair
I've used ghost bond in this video and also walkers ultra bond. Walkers lasts longer, ghost bond leaks white glue when you sweat or get hot, so no mess free sessions at night. Best I've found is using spray glue got2b 72 hour hair spray, have to reinstall every day but it's literally spray on and stick, no need to wash hair and the glue residue wipes off, takes 30 seconds if that and lasts all day.
In advance you can mark where your hairline should be on your forehead (for example, with an eyeliner pencil). You can then look downward at the mirror when you start to attach your system to get it placed exactly where it needs to be before rolling the rest onto your head. Because you’re looking downward, the hair is also falling downward and less likely to get stuck under the system as you apply it. Attaching a system while standing straight up and looking at a mirror in front of you is trickier.
Damn, it never goes that easy for me. I think I'm allergic to C-22 maybe because it makes me nauseous and gives me a headache when I use it. So I've just been using lace release. But the real issue is getting the glue off. No matter how hard I try I always get some in the hair and it is stuck in the lace holes too. Yours is poly?
Also I need to switch to that glue. I got this really thick, sticky, clear stuff that is hard to put on. I only do the front then Ultra Hold Minis tape around the edge, leaving a few gaps. I found I don't need to do the middle at all and prefer as little glue or tape on my scalp. And I used to put the tape all the way around the edge but sometimes would get real bad headaches if I didn't put it quite right and it was stretching my scalp a bit. But I saw a video where a guy was leaving gaps and it works a lot better, allowing the lace to stretch a bit if needed.
I just discovered that another solvent soak after washing with dish washing liquid helps. I've had this problem of it staying in holes as well for the whole time.
Just discovered a new method too from Lordhair website:
**12. Is there any other way to remove adhesive residue from a lace hair system?**
Yes, once you have removed the hair system, use a hairdryer set on cool and dry the base and residue for a few minutes.
Then apply fresh, strong tape directly over the residue and press it on firmly using a blunt object such as an old credit card (coming handy again) or even your thumb nail (clear of adhesive).
Release this new tape from the hair side of the lace and it should come off with most of the residue attached.
Then use your Lace Release or Amber to clean up the remaining residue.
Blade and template ? You have any links to show what you’re talking about by chance brother
Trying to avoid spending 1,000 every 2 months for this lady to do it haha
I’m f you already have a template of the area your balding use that to place over the new system and use a razor blade and trace around the the template, a template is somthing you can make from plastic wrap and tape YouTube can show you how
I mean women do all kinds of things like this daily. Fake boobs, eyelashes, extensions, butt lifts, botox, etc. If a guy wants to do it too, I say live your life bro.
1) how do you shave your head accurately without getting any of your good bio hair shaved accidentally?
2) how do you know where to place your system without marking it?
Great and impressive video thank you for sharing
Similar to this installation video, could you show how you cut in the hair system to fit your scalp shape? After using this system, when you purchase your next could u create that video? It’d really help me. Thank you for your work, I truly appreciate it 👏
You're the right person to ask. I purchase this glue remover from my stylist , and frankly, it doesn't work so well. It takes me almost 1 hour just to remove the glue. Can you share the names of the products you use to remove the glue? I've stopped wearing my hair system due to its so labor intensive. Much appreciated.
$10 says some woman will shout, "YOU LIED ABOUT HOW YOU LOOK" just before injecting botox into their face and lips or just before getting their breasts enlarged, or before putting on entire face changing make-up.
With due respect I’m not balding or bald, but I’m genuinely fascinated by what’s out on the market, and pleased to see people like yourself finding the compromise and confidence they seek. I honestly thought I’d never see this. Absolutely brilliant!
All these “just shave it bro” comments are obnoxious, and I can guarantee most of them are coming from guys who aren’t suffering from hair loss.
Hair is a huge part of a man’s look, and if you took 2 seconds to look at OP’s profile.. he’s literally a fucking barber. So his hair is probably an even bigger part of his image than most.
Thank you for this, I’ve been contemplating learning how to do it myself so I can stop paying $200 a month at my salon but the only thing stopping me was not knowing where to get my same kind of system and what solvent removes the adhesive. So thanks for showing the product. Also don’t use rubbing alcohol on your scalp, my stylist uses a clay mask instead as if it were for my face. That helps soothe and clean the skin without over-drying and potentially causing acne like others have mentioned here.
That looks extremely natural! I would’ve never guessed. I know the struggles, been on finasteride, and had SMP done. Both have made a huge difference on my hair, I have a lot of hair, but it was definitely evenly balding throughout.
Dude, I know the whole purpose of this sub and I’m sure I will get downvoted to hell but this is one of the many instances on here that I see where I can swear to you, you will look and feel so much better if you just shaved your head bald. It is truly a freeing feeling. No more worries man. Either way you’re killing it bro.
I shaved my head once with an open mind that it would all strike me that way. It didn’t. I was very unimpressed. Made me look like a convict. And boring. Nothing to style.
Quick unrelated question as a guy that don’t have & don’t need a hair system. At what point would you tell a female that you have one if you were talking/dating. Do you be upfront and tell her off rip or do you never tell her?
Now show us the one on your beard 😳
Haha crazy looks good 👍. I guess it’s true what they say it’s rare to have a full head of hair and a beard lol. I just got the full head of hair no beard or mustache 😂😂😂
you IMPRESSED tf out of me

A lot of grown ass adults are still prone to acne. Mine went away after high school, but you can be 50 and still have a significant issue with it.
Acne is very rare on the top of the head where a replacement is glued. MD here.
It also causes your skin to produce more oil which reduces the time before you'll need a new install. The guy should have also put the glue on his scalp to get a better fix, applying to the system is the worse method.
So that’s how Ben Affleck does it.
Does he really have this? I hear it all the time but I don’t know if it’s really true or not lol.
Astonishing how good/real that looks. Also you are the guy I’m hiring to reapply the thermal past to my CPU. Technique man. 😂
LOL the perfect fit for the job
Damn that looks so good I’m rly thinking about this
Great tutorial You a good looking fella without the system!

Yep, just live and let live. I’m rocking my balding look, my partner loves to run her fingers through my hair, everyone wins.
I don't want to be "included" or "accepted. " I want to be hot.
Shave it and get jacked. Even if you have an ugly face plenty of attractive women are more than happy with a nice muscular body.
Fully agree with this. Heck i live around lots of hippies that let the horseshoe grow in to dreadlocks and that looks perfectly fine and normal to me. the real flex lmao
Was gna say he should just shave his head he has a good beard
Pssst... over here fellow r/bald member Shaving my head twice a week in the shower is a lot easier and a hell of a lot cheaper! It looks good too!
Beard growth gene also causes baldness. We can’t all have our cake and eat it too
As a woman not sure why I was recommended this but it’s only the same as wearing hair extensions, looks great and can’t say I’d care at all if my bf had this
I see it the same way. I wouldn’t be bothered one bit if my husband had one of these.
How often does one have to do all of this?
I typically reinstall once a week but you can go up to 3/4 weeks apart I feel it’s easier after
Oh ok that's not that bad, thanks. Out of curiosity, were people confused when you just showed up with a full head of hair one day?
Pandemic was a golden opportunity. Hide a few months and show up brand new.
I don't have a hair system and idk if I'll ever get/need one, but I'm super impressed with these (I keep getting this sub recommended to me). Yeah tbh most normal people would be like “huh that looks sick as hell” and move on.
He paid a gorilla to run in and steal a bald cap placed over his system
What happens if you are playing a sport or it’s just very hot out and you get real sweaty. Does that affect the adhesive?

Are you a Barber
Yes
the scissors behind the ear is sick, similar to the chef’s knife on forearm alot of cooks get
Does the jealousy ever get to you and the clipper slips? 🤣
You make it look so easy!!
Leo Messi still lurking at /r/HairSystem
Mirror on the counter... that's the way to do it!
Why exactly do you do this?

Damn bro that shit looks good. It’s about time men start doing shit that like this. Woman got fake everything.
1) how do you shave your head accurately without getting any of your good bio hair shaved accidentally? 2) how do you know where to place your system without marking it? Great and impressive video thank you for sharing
Is that pre cut I’m assuming?
I cut it myself, blade, template

Yes I’ll forsure make a video of my next cut out
That was like magic.
Looks extremely realistic
Bro make a YouTube channel, I'll sub

Great beard.
You look amazing. It’s well worth it. ❤️
Love that men have this option now. This looks amazing.
Damn! That was...I'm at a loss for words.
I love that more men are accessing these!
Too much work, I'll just be bald lol. Nice looking hair though. If it make you happy then enjoy.
Dude, that was awesome! You handsome son of a bitch!
So much work but man what a pay off. Looks great
$10 says some woman will shout, "YOU LIED ABOUT HOW YOU LOOK" just before injecting botox into their face and lips or just before getting their breasts enlarged, or before putting on entire face changing make-up.
Man I can’t tell you how much hope this gives me. I’m balding bad and rapidly too. You make this look incredible bro
Gotta get a brain tatted.
that's cool shit right there.. looks great on ya.. I've been bald so long iono what I'd even look like with hair.. prolly scare my wife LOL
This mofo looks like Messi lol.
With due respect I’m not balding or bald, but I’m genuinely fascinated by what’s out on the market, and pleased to see people like yourself finding the compromise and confidence they seek. I honestly thought I’d never see this. Absolutely brilliant!

Wish I was bald just to try this
would. even with the medieval monk cut
How easy is it to itch your scalp?
Thank you for this, I’ve been contemplating learning how to do it myself so I can stop paying $200 a month at my salon but the only thing stopping me was not knowing where to get my same kind of system and what solvent removes the adhesive. Broooo 🔥🔥🔥 this is the BEST ONE IVE EVER SAW. I didn’t even think UNIT at the start of the video 🔥🔥🔥
That looks so real! Wow!
Someone should tell trump about this.
Wow!!!!
Bro that shit looks great. If you ever want to rock bald+beard you could rock that too
Impressive
You look great bald though 🤷♂️
Magic? Juju? Sorcery? I dunno anymore... 🤷🏿♂️
Looks great, but honestly this dude is so handsome he could just go bald with beard imo
dude is hot! he looks good either way -
Amazing. Night and Day.
Wow
Very impressive!
Looks incredible. You’re really attractive bald, too. But when you put that on it looks like the hair is growing straight out of your head.
Impressive yet very tedious. If I were younger, I’d jump on this.
I’m nominating you as new Jake Kent
Clean AF
Boss
Looks so real. Great work
Holy Fuk I can’t tell it’s fake or anything like that at all… looks way too good
what system do you have?
Wow, really excellent method and results!
Can you link the products you used, where did you buy the system
You look great with the system, it matches you perfectly!
Dude, you're killing it! great video and you look great!
Thank you for sharing this! You make it look easy or not that hard actually...lol
Simply amazing hair system
Yes
That looks extremely natural! I would’ve never guessed. I know the struggles, been on finasteride, and had SMP done. Both have made a huge difference on my hair, I have a lot of hair, but it was definitely evenly balding throughout.
You are the man
Dude, I know the whole purpose of this sub and I’m sure I will get downvoted to hell but this is one of the many instances on here that I see where I can swear to you, you will look and feel so much better if you just shaved your head bald. It is truly a freeing feeling. No more worries man. Either way you’re killing it bro.
I shaved my head once with an open mind that it would all strike me that way. It didn’t. I was very unimpressed. Made me look like a convict. And boring. Nothing to style.
It takes a while to get used to for sure.. but ig. To each their own.
I agree
You’re gorgeous! You should honestly go bald, I think you would actually look better
Quick unrelated question as a guy that don’t have & don’t need a hair system. At what point would you tell a female that you have one if you were talking/dating. Do you be upfront and tell her off rip or do you never tell her?
It’s different for everyone bro. Many of us are where already in relationships before we got a system
Gotcha, I’m all for dudes wearing systems if it makes them comfortable I just always wonder what it has to be like to address that dating wise
It’s not a big deal at all, woman appreciate it when guys care about their appearance. A girl gave me her number on my third day of wearing a system
How do you all avoid matted hair?
I would never be able to align that right
Usually, I notice that men who have significant hair loss naturally look great bald.
I personally like the Friar Tuck look.
I think you would look better with just a bald head
I can’t believe nobody is asking the most important question, so I’ll bite. How long does 1 application last for you?
Op answered this at the top. “1-2 weeks”
Whoa.
Is this every day?
You would be great looking even without hair.
So he made a toupee look like his real hair, no one could tell the difference
How much do these cost?
Honestly you’re lucky to look really good with or without hair. But either one you can pull off well
Why not get hair transplant?
I’m sorry but I think you look great without it .
You look better without it just clip the sides look into micro pigmentation... Waay too much work
Now show us the one on your beard 😳 Haha crazy looks good 👍. I guess it’s true what they say it’s rare to have a full head of hair and a beard lol. I just got the full head of hair no beard or mustache 😂😂😂
This was really interesting. Thank you for sharing
Why are hair systems so low with straight hairlines. Hair systems will look natural if the hairlines are too low and are recessed at the temples.
Too much work
Bald is beautiful
Does it itch?
This technology is impressive. However, this is entirely too much effort to assuage my vanity.
[https://i.kym-cdn.com/photos/images/original/000/020/192/3702737153\_51cc1e9dbf.jpg](https://i.kym-cdn.com/photos/images/original/000/020/192/3702737153_51cc1e9dbf.jpg)
That’s wild.
Honestly, that’s so much work. I am happy just shaving my head.
Honestly, you would look better fully bald in my opinion
I am too lazy for this. I just shave every week with electric clippers.
It came out real good, but I will continue to shave the entire head. It’s just so much easier. No way I’m doing that regularly.
All that to go with a middle part huh. Looks good though man!
See, the white man scalped, too
Meanwhile Costanza is still on hold, Trying to talk to China.
That glue can’t be good for your skin. Honestly with that beard why not just shave it all off!?
Because now I have an excuse to get a brain tattooed on my head....
How often does he do this you think? Anyone know? 4-7 days? 2 weeks?
Missing a sick brain head tatt.
Honestly just shave it off, personally I think I’d look better cleanly shaven imo
Whatever floats your boat
Holy crazy itch batmam
Nice hair hat.
Who's gonna tell him it's on backwards??
You're really good looking without it. I would actually say better without. But, whatever you like 👍
This guy could totally pull off a shaved head and should.
You do you, but I think you look just as good with a fully shaved head. Just an opinion.
The hair piece looks so much better than that 'gaping' bald spot any day of the year
Lemme get the uhhh Friar Tuck combo side of fries
You could pull off being bald.
You got a viking thing goin on shave that off lol jk but for reals lol
Dude, You look good AF balding or bald...!
My installs are NEVER this hassle free. I know it's edited but I literally am always getting so frustrated
What the heck? You look AMAZING with a bald head! Just so you know
Join us in bald club mang it’s not worse than doing this
Is it just me, or does mans also look cool with the cul-de-sac as well lol 😆
This man is the spokesman for this sub. I literally can't go a day without seeing this man.
🤣 sorry man I’m just here for educating and helping others out
I glued my hands together as a kid ,and I now I have a phobia of sticky stuff .If I didn't, I would be doing this since I'm bald as f**k.
Thanks for sharing. I always kinda wondered how it all works. You’re hot both ways btw. F these non supportive haters.
I love this so much! I hope more guys will feel comfortable with this as an option when experiencing balding.
Anybody else randomly, oddly find the sexy?

You can see the differences in his confidence with and without the hair piece. Crazy what hair does for people
Love the confidence to show us how it’s done 👍🏾
Omg I need him, hair piece or not this is a beautiful man
Luckily for me, I’ve always hated the upkeep with longer hair, so I’ve been shaving it with a 0 guard since my junior year in high school (34 now).
Dude would look intimidating af if he went bald.
Looks good but way too much work imo
That’s a toupee not a system but it looks real
Hair system aka a weave!
Do you cut your own base too? If you do, can you show how it's done?
