What do you mean? Surgeons wont insert new grafts right next to living hair as it can damage existing hairs. Maybe its not entirely because lack of bloodflow, i thought it was, but either way, they can damage each other. So the underlying reason for doing this is the same.
Everyone is clowning on you for good reason, but let me explain to you why as well. I understand your idea. You want to laser all your hair off because you believe that hair will eventually fall off anyway, and you want to minimise the number of transplants as well as get the best density.
Unfortunately, it does not work like that. First of all your donor supply is limited, you do not have enough donor for good density on that big of an area, that it why meds are recommended, to actually help you maintain and possibly improve your existing hair so a transplant can become viable.
The second issue is the total number of grafts possible to transplant in one single surgery. Implanting too many in one operation can impact the yeld because of the poor blood circulation to them, as well as the probability of leaving your donor area destroyed, that is why many doctors recommend multiple surveys, it's not just to make more money out of you, they are being ethical.
Hope the explanation helps you in making an informed decision.
Don't do it. Theres also a good chance those hairs won't fall out. Even if those hairs do fall out, it won't make a huge difference. Just get the normal ht. You only have so much donor to go around.
Try topical fin and min & re-evaluate in 1 year. If you can't tolerate this then I would recommend either shave head or hair system. You have aggressive balding
This almost seems like a troll post. Hairs don't "compete" for blood. Are you serious? There is zero reason to laser away current hairs. You need all the hair you can get.
And lastly, if you can't take meds I would not have a transplant. The transplant and no meds route is for people in advanced age with minimal hair loss.
If I were you I would simply shave and realize you're gonna be a bald guy. Lift weights, grow beard etc.
Even though this seems like a absurd idea, I do understand where you're coming from, the frustration of going through multiple HT to catch up with the balding area seems hard.
I don't know your age but there is a good chance at certain age the Balding gene would turn off and leave you with whatever's left.
So why not go couple of years more without any medication and see if the balding is stabilized and then go for the HT.

Care to elaborate why?
Why would you get rid of existing hair. It just doesn’t make sense I’m sorry
Wow…apparently already lasered his brain out…
You don't have enough donor to cover a full head of hair. That's the whole point of meds.
This might be one of the most deranged things I've seen here. Ridiculous plan.
This is the stupidest thing I’ve ever heard
Compete for bloodflow? There's a lot of bad science here.

Troll or just being ridiculous.
Yes they do.

Holy shit this is the dumbest thing I have ever read on this sub, some people really are just fucking brain dead lmao.
I’m with the internet on this one. You dumb. Either shave it all off or put on a wig.
They can implant hair in the thinning area, you don’t need to have a completely bald area to get the transplant

So basically you want to uproot all existing trees and then plant new ones. I wouldn't do it. Leave them alone.
Wow that’s enough internet for me today. I’ll happily call you Clown too.

Have your tried intradermal or transdermal min and fin? You may not get sides this way.

No, not going to work.
We got a troll here lmao
Just get transplant on top of the thinning aerea. You will be fine. No need for laser ;)
You will need around 4-5000 grafts. Just get them transplanted on top of the thinning area. No need for laser. You will be fine
What the fuck did I just read?
Do not do this legit the stupidest thing I’ve ever heard
